[Q] Google play crashes constantly - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So, I just flashed Checkrom v6 and my Google play can't stop crashing.Sometimes it crashes right when I open it, sometimes it waits until I start downloading something and crashes then. Tried wiping cache from CWM and wiping cache/data of the google play itself. Neither one worked. Can I get some help, please, this is very frustrating.

[Q] Weird Problem with Google Play

Hey guys, I hope you can help me... I have a really weird problem....
When I try to download an App through Google Play, it stays in "Downloading" but nothing happens, it just stays there "downloading" for ever. The % bar doesn't even appear. The thing is that this only happens when I'm using Mobile Data... when I use Wi-Fi it downloads without a problem.
- I've tried Cleaning cache and data from Google Play but it doesn't fix it.
- I've tried different Roms (full wipe), and I have the same problem.
- Everything works fine... Mail, Browser, Facebook, Twitter, etc, so I thing it's NOT a Mobile Data problem.
- I'm using Hydrogen's latest ICS
I'm desperate, so any help would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
You are using an ICS ROM? The use search function, if you are on gingerbread try to wipe cache and dalvik cache this solved it for me.

[Q] tweetcaster crasing all the time

Apologies i have posted in the wrong place Title says it all tried clearing cache rebooting Tablet uninstall and reinstall but it keeps crashing every time. I am on cm9 latest official nightly but it was the same before I upgraded. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
The same happens to me. You can clear app data, but you have to log in afterwards and the problem eventually comes back.
Best thing would be to report the problem when happens so the dev can work on a fix.

+1 with tweetcaster, I switched to plume instead.

Play store apps not downloading or updating

I cannot download or update any apps for the last few days. It just gets stuck at 'downloading' without ever downloading anything.
I have tried the usual clearing play store data, signing out of talk and even factory reset but still not working.
Is there anything else I can try?

I had such problems lots of times. I used many solutions and all of them worked.
1) Clear data and Cache of Play Store from Settings ====> Apps ====> Manage apps.
OR
2) Uninstall Play Store and install latest version again. (I installed it as system app)
OR
3) Reflash stock ROM with odin, then root and try again.
Most of the times 1st option worked. Use next 2 only if 1st does not work.
Press Thanks if helped.
First suggestion didn't work but second worked. Thanks mate. Cheers

Got it. I was using hot reboot to save time, full reboot fixed it.

Is Hot Reboot same as Soft Reboot?
I couldn't find the question's forum. But I have a question or series of questions. First I noticed that after trying to install a video chat app. It kept giving me error code 405 I think. So I thought to myself Its never done this. So I tried installing a small app like a message app with only 1.89kb. It downloaded. But it wouldn't install video chat and I had more than enough space. So I looked it up. Google site told me to uninstall the update and restart my phone. So I did that. And that's where it ****ed up. So now i can't even open Google nothing anything associated with Google won't operate properly. I still have Google play in my app running. Not Google play services. Also I tried installing the App didn't work either. Then I tried factory reset. Didn't work either. I tried literally every option I could. I'm in this situation BC of Google told me to uninstall the update. Now I can't use any apps at all. Please help guys .
