All other threads (non accessories or themes/apps that have their own section) are posted in general section!

To all you developer thread spammers out there. Here you go, a special thread just for you. Post all your bugs and reviews of the ROM here. So the developer thread stays clean.

there's already a thread like this in the general section. and a thread like this should be in general section.
You have a good intention ....
But we have many threads simialiar to this (see in general section )
This will be also called "spam"
Plus wrong section.

Howdy Folks,
Anyone know if there is a Kernel cleaner for the SGS3 ? All ive been able to find is a doctored up SGS2 one and im hesitant to use that for fear it will kill my shiny new toy ;-)
Maybe you could develop one so that this post would be relevant in the "Development" section of this forum.
Q&A

See this post in one of a kernel cleaning scripts' thread:

Maybe you could be less unhelpful? A Kernel Cleaner post is very relevant for discussion in this thread it is a tool used in android development is it not ? Thanks to those that offered constructive replies.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9&postcount=14 (this is the doctored one I'm hesitant to try)
It wasn't a friendly response but he was right, this section is reserved for development only and this thread belongs in the Q&A. Read the sticky above called "All questions belong in the Q&A" for a full explanation of what by forum rules belongs in development.
Someone please close this thread down before all sorts of noobs and fools get it into their minds that this mumbo jumbo is actually a neccessity. Complete rubbish.
Maybe the OP should add that it is imperative to wipe cache and dalvic before taking a dump.
as Hacre said it does not work

I just got my s3 the other day and plan on rooting/installing aokp. I came from a captivate and we had a dedicated modem thread that listed all stock modems and cm9 compatible modems. It would be good in case some modems don't work well in certain areas. I'm wondering if someone could do the same here? I would start gather the modems and make a thread but my computer is being sent in for repairs and all I have is my phone.
Food for thought!

this is not development...

This thread needs to be posted in the "General" sub-forum, please.
The Development forum is only for Dev's to post development threads in. :good:

Let my clarify. It would be a good sticky in development for att/rogers modems. You're right it's not development but I thought it world be better to post her then with all variants.

Nope, what ever the rules say, that's what you go by. No an ifs or buts.
I'm with ya OP. Having a thread for Modems outside of development seems weird. Anything that's flashed through Odin/Recovery should go in Development. I know that's how it was done on other phones i've had like the E4GT. Application of rules isn't very consistent on XDA >.>
:crying:
Hopefully they will just cover the modems under the stock ROMs and other threads. Otherwise if they're thrown in general, they will get lost. I know I've seen modem threads in the development section before.
I can't get my baseband to change with the available zips.
Read forum rules before posting!
NO QUESTION THREADS IN DEVELOPMENT!!!!!

Your biggest problem is you do not how to post in the correct sections as stated in the rules
15. Keep posts/threads on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.
General Forums - For news and announcements pertaining to your device.
Q&A Forums - For all question threads / posts. If there is no Q&A forum use the device General Forum
Accessories subforum - For posts related to accessories relevant to the phone model
Development Forums (ones with the word development in the title)- For developers to post release threads e.g. ROMs, Kernels, and mods.
Themes and Apps Forums - For themers to post themes and for app announcements and discussions.
Thread moved to Q&A
I have had 2 threads closed around me today. I kinda understand the 1st one, but this last one was in the General Forum? Is XDA ran like a Nazi Camp or what? I thank the the mighty Gods for letting me come here, but what the Hell is going on?
My guess is you will be batting a thousand. A perfect 3 for 3.

Ok. I'm game. Please tell me how come. What have I done to deserve it? I've been here since June with no issues till today.
This is not a social media forum. It is a problem/solution/dev forum.
Now, after saying this....there is usually an "off topic" thread in each forum....you might want to try that.

Ok. Thanks. I understand better now.
He's definitely going for the hat trick. I wonder what the record is for getting useless threads closed. . .
