Soft brick, need an odin flashable rom - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
Does anyone have a link to an odin flashable rom I can install?
I can't boot, seems like the android install has gone corrupt when trying to install a custom rom via CWM touch.
CWM is still working, however my internal SD card has been formatted for some odd reason, so I can't install a rom through there. Also, can't mount USB storage to transfer one so kind of forced into using odin.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,

Awesome thanks for that. Yeah, I tried searching for odin roms but couldn't find anything, samfirmware wasn't logging in either.
Thanks heaps!

[Q] help! can't flash software via Odin (battery fell off during Boot in recovery)

Hello guys,
Please help me with this! I am very very new to this and I was just trying to install a cyanogen 7 and right in the middle of boot under recovery my battery fell off
I had already backed up and wiped everything but I cannot get it back in recovery anymore.
Phone won't boot at all. It says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again. But Kies cannot connect to the phone.
I tried to reinstall the software (Android 4.0.3) with Odin, in every way possible. First I just wanted to flash a PDA ut it fails. Then I wanted to make full reinstall, I've tried 30 times to put the software with odin. I also tried with repartioning and adding PIT, PDA, PHONE and CSC.
I really don't know what to do... Help!
I am so sorry I tried to do it myself instead of leaving it to a pro
If there's anything that could help, please tell me. In detail...
Thanx a lot!
Why panic? try this theres other topics also. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457458

Need Stock Rom for 5.0 USA

Can't seem to find a link to download the stock rom for the US 5.0 Galaxy Player. I flashed a new rom thinking I did a CWM backup, but apparently I only thought I did.
I've searched around and can't seem to find an ODIN tar or a ZIP that I can flash for the US version other than a file hosted on Multiupload which no longer works. I didn't post in general being that this seems more Development related.
If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it.
....................
EDIT: It was a pain to find, but I found the multiupload link, googled it, found the cached page, found the name of the file, googled the name of the file and downloaded from fileserve. I then uploaded to my server. You can download it from there if anyone needs it.

Found it. Posted mirror in first post.
Thank you for finding it. I would like to ask you if you have tried it already.
I don't flash custom ROMs because
until now, I didn't have a stock recovery ROM to restore in case something goes wrong or I didn't like the new ROM. And I don't think Best Buy would want to replace a device with a cracked screen if custom software is installed.
Please, let me know.
Thank you in advance.

I have tried it. I just flashed back to stock. I had to Wipe data via CWM before flashing back. On the first boot it took me to Stock recovery where I wiped data and wiped the cache. It's now working perfect.
As far as I know there seems to only be one custom rom for the US 5.0. Various kernels to try though.
So, in case I just want to restore to stock with the file you made available, I need to have a custom kernel so I can use CWM?, or I can do it from the stock recovery window?.
And the only two options to flash a kernel and a ROM I see for the SGP 5.0 are "Entropy's Daily Driver" and "Eryigit-GB-2.3.6 G70ZCKPA ROM", have you found other options?
Thank you.

The pit is included in the file.

Normally you only need to flash the pda, but if you want to re-partition your device then use the pit file as well.

When you turn it off just hold the volume down button before turning it on and you should get there in a couple of seconds.

wow this rom is pre rooted
can some1 tell me the step by step procedure?

Welcome to the Dev section for the Galaxy Player. This is for development, not for installation help. You should be able to ask in General.
Flashing ROMs can be scary at first, but the Dev board is best left for software development, feedback, etc. It makes it easier for the Devs not to have to wade through a field of nonsense.
tl;dr:
Post questions in General, not in Dev. It's a common mistake, don't worry too much.
I just want it to be as if it just came in a box because I'm selling it, how do I have it stock and unrooted?

Flash the stock rom found here via Odin3 and if it is rooted, download Root Browser from play store and and delete superuser.apk in system/app and delete su binary in system/bin and after you delete these two, reboot and uninstall root browser and you should be good.

restoring from back up?

hi guys im selling my s3 and the buyer wants it back to standard rom but rooted,i have a back up on my phone but when i try to restore it says no files found.
its an i9300 in the uk im running unnoficial cm10.1 ive tried copying it to an sd card but still wont show up....any pointers?ive looked around the forums but cant any real answers (in noob language)
Just flash latest btu firmware with Odin and factory reset, then root it, simples
see now that sounds perfectly ...but what and where is a btu?
Here you go
http://hotfile.com/dl/201680722/c1fafcf/I9300XXEMC2_I9300OXAEMC2_I9300XXEMC2_BTU.zip.html
Unzip
Place in pda on Odin
Hit start
Be patient
When it boots up fully, go into stock 3e recovery and perform factory reset
Reroot
Job done

I would just flash with Odin the one I linked you to, that is the latest unbranded UK Rom, much easier and less hassle
Or you can try this ROM which is stock and pre rooted. You need to Flash this through Odin.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1825272
That way you keep stock ROM and stay with root from the word go!

if your refering to the "all in one stock root rom" thread i've checked that already and all the att links are dead.
Just plug it into KIES and restore to stock, root then install your custom rom.

in General Forums / Super Everything Thread
you did not list your carrier or device in your post, but there is a whole list of options here. I have myself scanned through list and yes am aware many of links are dead, yet this was the 2nd one I checked.
if this is for your device and what you are looking for then you are ready to go.
here is the thread containing the file, first link is up
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261598
if not, check the last post in this thread. you will find a link provided from "developweb", see if that is what you are looking for, be sure to hit his thanks button. I am not going to send one of my files, again simply, because you have not told anyone device or carrier. you have already flashed wrong file once and I don't know how, but I don't want to be responsible for anyone bricking their device.
you have been a member long enough to know what information folks need and long enough to know to read. if you can provide this information, then maybe I can help you further if needed.
good luck and keep us posted

Got you. Well there's a bunch of modems here but you will have to decide your own course. I can't offer any advice on them. Good luck!

Have CMW Recover, able to Odin but no OS

Hi, I accidently cleaned the system, data...EVERYTHING really and now I'm having trouble getting an ROM on my GT-P7510 P4wifi. When I turn on the tablet it only gets to the Samsung start screen with a picture of an unlocked lock on the bottom. I am able to boot into CMW recovery and I am able to Odin recoveries like TWRP so I know it is working, but I am unable to Odin an actual ROM. Can someone please give me ideas on how to do this. I am able to Odin different ROMs, Odin says "successful" but when I boot up it goes no further than the Samsung Start Screen with the lock. Thank you for any help.
EDIT: YAHOOO! Got it working. I just had the wrong Stock firmware although many said it was, BUT I downloaded the original from Samsung was a bit hard to locate. I Odin'd and it booted and running 4.0.4. If anyone is having an issue and still able to Odin and would like a copy of this just ask
