What ROM(s) support MHL? I'm using Team Objection UCLF5 and it works really well but when I plug in my MHL it doesn't work and also blows away all my homescreens widgets. I'd like to find a ROM with working MHL functionality.
Might only be one stock roms for now. Or a rom close to stock like black star or onlyone

I thought Objection was a stock-based ROM, only cleaned up a little?
Its prob based off of a leak. The leak prob doesent have support as their un finished products...so i think its only on stock or stock based roms not a rom built from a stock leak base.hope that helps, maybe someone else will confirm this.

Just make a good backup then flash and test any rom you want. When the rom is done settling in ~ 5 minutes, just sign in to google, then test your MHL connection. Don't forget to connect the adaptor to usb power when you use it.
FYI - CM9 does indeed support MHL-HDMI out.
I've used it with cm9 cm10 and stock

I'm personally on Saurom 7.2. Super smooth and looks good. But I've also heard that the OnlyOne S3 ROM is pretty badass.

That's all gonna depend on what you want. Do you want GB or ICS leak. If ya wanna stick with GB. Then saurom is the way to go. I ran it since it came out with great results. As far as ICS there are several great ROMS all with different features. Id read through the dev section and see what your personal preference is!

OnlyOne ROM is the best ICS ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1669170
Go for it.. You wont regret
there are to many now to say.
only1 is super smooth, the collective roms are ALL stable as ****, aokp and cm9 are pretty good for what they are. cm9 was a little more stable than aokp when i was using it.
i dont even think about GB anymore...so i could not give you my OP on those as this moment.
I've been running ICS leak ROMs since they first surfaced around early April. I honestly must say that the Unofficial CM9 build is perhaps the best ROM I have used. It's pretty fast, and other than a few annoying bugs (none of which are show stopping), It's pretty awesome. That would be my rekommendation.

I just flashed my phone with "only one" and this rom freezes my phone every time I try to reboot

I don't think u installed right..startover again..
Full wipe 3x. Just to make sure before u flash the rom. Only 1 rom (hype). Its the best all around ics rom right now. Everything works and smooth. Tw works, svoice works, snote works, spent works great!!! I been running the only 1rom(hype) for few days now. Its almost as perfect as it can get. Just missing overclock.. but I don't we will have overclocking anytime soon for ics roms...

I used they zip full wipe from dark side and after I finished flashing it kept rebooting itself like 7 times and then when I decided to turn off the phone to restore with the rom I had before the phone booted and then like the guy said in the guide i let the phone sit for 1 min and then I reboot it again and that's when I started to use it and then when I went trying to reboot to install the tmo radio to use 4G the just froze itself....

I agree, completely with him. But, oh well.
For HoneyComb, I've always preferred Galaxy Task 14. Its fast, stable, smooth, and it feels great. But if you're looking for a non-touchwized HC version I suggest Clean Rom. You'll need honeycomb for now if you want camera support, no ICS/JB ROMs support camera until Sammy' decides to cough up the source/drivers.
For ICS it really depends. CM9 nightly builds are great, but I've always gone back to AOKP nightlies/milestones after a CM9 flash. I feel AOKP has a quicker, snappier feel to it. Plus, AOKP is highly customizable. I suggest Milestone 6.
For JB theres just one port, but this really isn't for the faint of heart since wifi, sound, and the camera do not work at all. This is highly experimental and you really should go here if you're looking for a daily driver, but it is really smooth.
Overall, I suggest AOKP M6 its really smooth, and its ICS. The only down side is the camera issue.
With the ease of flashing these ROM's it would be beneficial to test each one and see what you think offers you the best stability, response, and works with whichever apps you use.
I have been playing with Scott's CleanROM 2.0 and Task650's Task14 slim. I am currently on Task's ROM and using Pershoots kernel. I honestly like both ROM's thus far.... going to test out Bindroid next.
Those roms task14 and clean are for wifi only he has p7500 use bindroid for honey comb or cyanogennod9 for ics.. I'd recommend cm9 look for it in cm9 Site as p4 with no variants but p4

Wait for stable Jelly Bean Rom
I have tested JB ROM. Still its to early to comment but its buttery smooth and lightning fast. After a stable rom comes. It would be way better then ICS or honeycomb.
Test and explore different Roms and decide for yourself. I settled on Task's Slim 14.

I don't see why that has to be the case, provided people can stay mature and polite to one another.
If the thread descends into flaming then of course it'll be locked but in the mean time, I see no reason not to give it a fair chance.

I was wondering what some people considers to be the better ROM or combination of different mods. I helped a lot and became a senior member from the Atrix 2 thread but I've been gone for a while. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

That rom is unbelievably fast. If you want to run a "stock" rom, that is the one. I like to keep a stock rom on my work S2 and this one has been awesome.

I have tried half a dozen or so different roms, and the one that I keep coming back to is Shostock2. His latest release (4.0) is very stable, but it still needs some features added in that were in some of his previous releases. If you are looking for a balance of features, get Shostock2 (3.1.2).

Personally I liked Task's AOKP for some time, but recently flashed CM9 - and probably will stick with it until more stable Jelly Beaner...for stock - ShoStock is my choice
Sent from my SGH-I777 using Tapatalk 2
You came at a pretty good time. Most ROMs are really stable and Jellybean is just about to hit. What I like to do is play around with different ROMs and see which one I like best. It's what makes Android fun! For a ROM recommendation, I'd have to say SHOstock (if you want that stock TW feel) or task's AOKP (stock Android, plenty of customization)
I know everyone's already said those two but they really are good ROMs. Of course there are other good ones too, so go explore

As myself and Red5 maintain, the best ROM is the one that works for you. It may take a few hours, but give a few a try, and see which YOU like the best.
As the general rule in this board, "vs" threads are no-go, so I am going to close this here (our board was a mess before this rule, with masses of "vs" threads popping up everywhere)...
Hi all.
Just wondering if any of you have noticed the same problem.
I've bought the infuse carkit for my sgs3. Using it all day to charge and using Spotify for dock audio out.
All working perfectly with the ics Roms, but since the custom jellybeans I've having trouble with the kit.
I've tried the omega Roms and the dock won't charge or send the audio out..
The only Rom working are the cm10 it charges but won't send audio out.
I make this thread to share working Roms with all fellow infuse carkit owners
Hoping for custom stock jellybeans with infuse support.
Thnx for your time
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Yeah the dock is not working unfortunately... Received replacement today and nothing happens.
I'm on stock jb 4.1.1
Hope there's a fix on it way, may have to go to ics
Maybe some developer could fix this problem
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
I think using the Siyah kernel helps. At least it lets my dock charge again. I went onto Sammy JB and then CM 10, and once I flashed the Siyah kernel my dock would charge again. Never used the audio out though.
Thnx will try that kernel

Hey guys I've been doing research and can't make up my mind. I've made nandroids of both and switching back and forth. I'm kind of partial to clean ROM because that is what I always used on my old s3 but I can't decide between these two. Also can't decide between tw or nova. Can I get some opinions. Thanks guys I'm a noob to this phone I just got it a couple weeks ago coming from an s3 and love it.

Does Beans have blocking mode enabled? I need my quiet time. I'm using CleanRom ACE 4.2.5 and it's working great for me (stock kernal and L4 modem).
The only features of s pen that don't work with 3rd party launchers is page buddy.
As for Clean vs. Beans, no one can say which is best, it's about personal preference.
I like both of them, but I'm currently running Eclipse.
I'm sure I'll switch again, and again.
You can always try Eclipse.
