Does anyone no why when I decompile lidroid-res.apk and recompile it again without changing anything the file size changes and becomes unusable? It starts off at 1,589kb and once compiled goes down to 1,233kb? Thanks for any help

for me the size is still small but it works..
you must install 2 frameworks. First the "framework-res.apk" and then the "twframework-res.apk".. After that it recompiling should work

I too had the build prop error coming from Tasks AOKP. Solved it by changing the build prop to GT-I9100.

As i'm not a developers i have not learned how to do all these fun things yet is it as simple as opening it up in notepad? I simply use ktoonez flash-aholics tool. I installed this rom coming from his port of miui. So my build prop was probably i9100 to begin with.
Yes it involves editing a build.prop file. Simple error fix. Phone needs to be recognized as the internatonal version.

I see I opened the file up on my phone and it seems relatively simple. But doesn't formatting system reset this?

Got it download alright. I came from Turkbey. No problems. But I have the font set on huge and its still to small for me. The dock bar is small too. I loaded Apex on it could this be the problem with everything looking tiny?

The dpi on this rom is set to 182 instead of the default 254. To change go to settings, ass(advance slim settings, and I think its under general ui

Apparently not since I did format the system and still got errors.
What I ended up doing was restoring my AOKP backup. Then I used Root Explorer to navigate to /system/build.prop, long press that, select edit with Text Editor. Changed all SGH-I777 to GT-I9100.
Installed fine after that using the OP instructions.

You can decompile the framework using an app call ninjamorph. Once you do that if you find tthe right file you can replace it with the one you wanna use and recompile.

You will also need notepad++, to properly edit it and preserve linux-specific "things" (to keep it simple).
Thanks for the guide, I'll check it out and hopefully get it to work.

Decompile systemUI.
Open to res/layout/status_bar_expanded.xml
Just search for the word "recent" and remove that particular line.

I saw in the galaxy s3 mini and in cm 10 that there is a weather widget in the lockscreen but it's not in the Samsung firmware. I don't know if someone can port it but it would be great.
Sorry for my English I'm studying.
Flash CM10 then you have it
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda premium
@martin_carpio17 and I are currently working on this... Although I found the way how to enable it on the lock screen, for some reason it cannot find my location - therefore only an error message is displayed on the lock screen instead of actual weather information....
You try my method but I can't guarantee that it'll work....
Enabling Weather on Lockscreen is just a bool value in framework-res.apk (the feature was always there but disabled by Samsung)
Just go to "framework-res\res\values" open bools.xml and look for config_isWeatherWidgetEnabled... change it to "true"

I think some other values needs to be added or changed... donno that yet

You need to decompile framework-res.apk first... Otherwise you won't get values folder....
After that you will surely get it... Then just go to res/values folder and open bools.xml with notepad++
Scroll down and then you will see something like "config lock screen widget" change it to "true" then recompile it and copy the AndroidManifest.xml and mwtainf folder from the original apk to your newly made apk...

Lol I found this weeks back.. but I never shared it with anyone.. I wanted to keep it as a surprise in my ROM
and right now I'm really busy with my ROM's UI... kind of stuck at how to differentiate it from other ROMs
I'm going for a Black UI.... and Here's a sneak peak; although this is not "finalised" yet...
I found a guide in this section and it works!
