You will get more help if the same question was asked into that ROM thread as users who are on that ROM are likely to visit ROM thread frequently! Also ROM chef will be able to see if this is a bug or something else and then comment quickly!

abaksunovic, I suspect that the guy (deepshining cook) earlier cooked for first gen device w/o front camera and he used the camera tweaks from kinda Mozart or other device w/o front camera
So - check your registry:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Camera\Settings]
"FFCSupported"
if it is: "FFCSupported"=dword:0 - than it means the cook-guy just switched off front cam Change it to 1 and reboot.
no fornt camera
Thanks for the advice, will try it since I allready flashed another ROM because of this.
Anyway, I'm a long time WP7 user, I have had Trophy, in the meantime had an iPhone 4, and lost credentals for my old account, had to make a new one so I must post here and not in the rom section... to gain at least 10 posts again... sorry if it upsets anyone...
no fornt camera on deepshining titan rom
Yep, it just needed change in registry!
Front camera suport is back.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Camera\Settings]
"FFCSupported"
"FFCSupported" Dword=1 (in this rom it was 0)
Thanks again for support.

Hi,
I have updated my international HTC One X to CM10 ver(10-20121221 NIGHTLY). However, i find that the GPS doesn't pickup any satellites at all.
I went back to my stock ROM and found that the GPS was working fine. On reading some threads about similar problems, i tried downloading AGPS data but that too did not work.
I also flashed a AGPS Fix for HTC One X ver3.1 but that too didn't work.
Is somebody else having a similar experience ? Were you able to fix it ? Any help would be great... I hate to go back to a Sense ROM.
Why don't you ask this in the One X forum?

Hey I was wondering if someone could help me with this;
I recently rooted my HTC One S (Vodafone UK) to install a custom, 4.2 based ROM on it.
I trawled through a few custom ROM's to find one that was stable and didn't have too many bugs. I eventually decided on the Dark Jelly S edition ROM as it said the camera "is working" and that was a feature I was interested in. However, when I launched the camera app, it would only recognise the front facing camera. I'm wondering if this is because of the dedicated imaging chip, if it might not be supported or something like that? Or whether it's just a bug?
Does anyone have this working, or a solution to this problem? Or will I just have to wait till an update that fixes this comes out?
Thanks for any help!
My Evo 3D CDMA (Sprint) rooted screen would be registering random screen press in multiple areas on its own. I ordered a digitizer and replaced it myself. After I put everything back together the phone booted up like normal screen works perfect. Although when I select the camera it shows a black screen and freezes the phone to where the only way to exit the camera is to pull the battery. Sorry if this is in the wrong section it is my first post.
-Thanks
What Rom are you running? Are you S-off

Some ROMs that are still in a buggy state can have issues with the camera. If you are using a custom ROM, that could be your issue, but if its the standard stock ROM, this might just be hardware and then that causing software failure...
I am running ZR3D I believe by Team 420. I'm still S-On also. I don't use the camera very often so i'm not sure if it was like that before i replaced the screen or until afterwards. I found out recently that the front facing camera that would be used for mirror apps for self photos does work after replacing the digitizer.
Camera
If I upload the rom I have and post a link can someone check out the rom for me to see if it's just me or not?
I have the same problem after i replaced the digitizer. Did you solved the problem ?
Hey guys, i've been having some trouble lately with taking pictures on my front facing camera. I'm using the t-mobile variant of the samsung galaxy s3 (its actually from wind, but theyre the same). The last rom i had installed was cyanogenmod, and it was working fairly well, except every once in a while, when i took a picture or video from the front facing camera, the phone would crash immediately and reboot. I tested this with many different camera applications and they all had the same result. I decided that i would try a different rom to see if that was the issue, so i installed the latest version of Carbon. The problem persisted, and it even got worse. Now every time i take a photo using the front facing camera, the phone will crash and reboot instantly. I read around, and there appears to be some issues with snapchat and such, but i dont think that is my problem as this is occuring with every camera application i have. I have also checked out some other threads related to this issue, and some seem to have the same problem, with no real solution. Apparently a temporary fix seems to be clearing the application data, but even that doesn't work for me. If i could guess, i would say it has something to do with custom roms in general as i have seen no reports of a stock rom phone having this issue, or perhaps a gapps issue, but those are just some thoughts.
Some Info:
Model Number: SGH-T999
Android Version: 4.4.2
Carbon Version: CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20140316-0304
I'd be happy to provide any extra info needed. Thanks so much guys, it would be great for me and all the others that have this issue if there's some way to fix this problem. I'll try to be as active as i can to provide any info or test any possible solution for everyone. It seems like a big problem for a lot of people.
I'd really appreciate any and all feedback. Sorry for the bump.
Hi,
I've got the i9305 and for 3 months I've been trying to fix this camera issue (FW BHFJ02).
The main issue is the Video camera ALWAYS fails. Photo camera varies- some mods it doesn't work at all, others it takes few pics then crashes)
I've tried SEVERAL roms (rxtreme, AOSP, SlimMod, Sentinel).
I've tried the camera FW fix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/jb-4-1-2-camera-driver-t2006128) and a few others (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40409206#post40409206)- none helped!
Please help- i've had a to use an iPhone for months and I'm fed up with not being able to use my Anrdoid
What can I try?
Ask in the i9305 q&a forum, but it sounds like hardware failure.

Return to stock firmware with Odin. If its still a problem then service center is the way to go. Grab the firmware from sammobile.com:thumbup:
