So I just got an X2. I want to root it and make it a permanent root on stock, and still be able to OTA without any problems. Is this possible? CDMA 2.3.4. Thanks guys.

VooDoo root keeper is all "spelled" out here.
I want to start from scratch with my xt912. I am currently running the OTA JB update and I wanna know how I can go about unrooting it?
I have rooted my month old Moto Maxx to 4.2.2 12.15.15. What are the benefits of going back to stock & taking the OTA & then trying to re-root over just installing a new ROM ..say CM? I got the message that the OTA for 4.4 is available...Whats my best bet? I'm happy just being rooted & able to get rid of the bloat.
I think you may be in the wrong device forum. This is for the Droid RAZR released in 2012. We have no OTA update for 4.4 in sight. I think your looking for the droid Maxx. That device thread can be found here:

Hello All,
Recently I have been debating whether or not I should root my android device (Droid DNA by HTC). Unfortunately I have made acompletely stupid mistake and updated it to the latest 4.4.2 KitKat firmware. What I am wondering is if there is anyway to root my droid DNA now that I have updated, and if not, is there anyway to revert back to old firmware. Thanks so much for you all's help in advance!!

Hi. I have looked all over the forums and cannot find a way to root my Verizon Droid RAZR Maxx HD. It is:
*Android version 4.4.2
*System version 182.46.15.XT926.Verizon.en.US
*Kernel Version 3.4.42-gbd361ac
I have searched for a way to root my phone, but everything I have read says that since the update to 182.46.15 it is not possible. I do not want to unlock the bootloader, I just want to root it so I can remove some bloatware. I have tried Srsroot, and it did not work. Is there a workaround or a utility that I can use to root my phone but leave the bootloader alone? I have always rooted every phone I have ever had, with the last being my G2, but for some reason this Maxx HD is giving me issues. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
