Hi,
i got some issues with the AOSP lockscreen on my EVO 3D.
Mostly every time I unlock my device, it shows me a notification saying the process com.htc.bg was quit.
I got this first on a mwakious 10 ROM with Leedroid tweaks with which I turned on AOSP lockscreen.
Then I flashed kingcobra3D 1.6 with AOSP lockscreen directly and the problem was existing anymore.
I did about 3 full wipes before flashing.
Do you know anything why this problem could occour?

Ok firstly big thanks to everyone on here helping me get this far
Secondly i have to problems with this mod:
In cyanogenmod settings i always get "force close" when i try to click the update notification button ?
Themes i can properly flash and install and they show in cyanogen settings but when i apply them the dont work, even after reboot ? , i have tried the three on wolfbreaks post to no avail
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
The update notification force close is because the files for it were not included because the X10 is not supported by cyanogenmod so the update notification doesn't actually function on our phone even if the file is included. This was discussed many many times in the main thread already.
As for your theme issues, you could try downloading it again and applying it again. It's possible the xml file was corrupted. What theme were you trying to use?
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
same here.. no theme changes.. fc in update notification and anonymous stats.. tried with both mine and my wife's x10s also but no changes. stock, stock_black, froshedyoV10, cm6.1.3-v4 all the same
ok thanks,
And yer themes i have tried setting and downloading reflashing , but to no avail,
i had one that nearly worked, but only got about 50% of the actual theme, then went to change it, and back and forth etc and never again did anything happen
cheers
Oh the theme I wanted to use was the gingerbread theme from the rom post but I also tried the theme already in it

Has anyones contact and phone icons changed back to how they are supposed to be? The changelog said he fixed it, but they are still the SE icons.
Any fixes. ??? Anyone?

and the top half of the screen seems to not respond to being touched, it works if you touch the bottom and drag up , it recognises being touched but not if you touch it at the top. I know its software based because when i rotate the screen in works on the same basis where the top 1/3 does not work
welldont know what your problem is im using said rom with no problems everything works for me as thousands of others only thing i can think of is you have installed the rom incorrectly
try again but delete everything ie dalvik batt stat cash and full system then reinstall
I don't have a real solution for your problems with themes, but you could try others installing them with xRecovery, I installed "froshedyoV10".
Ah, yeah, taking advantage of this thread... I installed this awesome ROM and it's running so freaking fast, Im amazed! My X10 became ten times better, now I REALLY DON'T understand how Eclair 2.1 (wich it was laggy and slow) could improve the user experience more than Froyo... But hell.
cof, cof... OK, the only issue I have is my button leds, they don't turn on anymore since I installed CM. Anyone would know why?
I am on currently on the latest Xron ROM and loving it...but after flashing a custom lock ring, the phone icon disappears and have no other way to get it back...I either have to restore a nandroid backup or reflash the ROM.
Anybody else experiencing this? Is there a fix?
Thanks!

I wonder if this happens with other sense roms?
I'm using synergy nightlies here and experienced the same problem, I ended up just flashing the rom again and it put back the stock lockscreen ring
Solved problem! Well... Kind of...
Okay so after much frustration in losing the phone icon while using a custom lockscreen, go into the lockscreen settings and choose the phone icon for ALL four lockscreen shortcuts. When you apply the change, it surprisingly came back but now, the four shortcuts that actually show up are the default icons: phone, mail, camera, and messages.
Therefore, in order to get the phone icon back, this is what I did but you can no longer customize the shortcuts.
Maybe some devs can use this information somehow?
You are using an old idlescreen_base.apk. HTC put out an update over a week ago for that. Check the op in the Tranquility theme thread I have a few mods there that are the updated one.

Off-topic: Should I release my super-light stock ROM? (no, it's not the same with Wolfbreak's and others, it is very light with minimal tweak/modification) Released!

"Off-topic: Should I release my super-light stock ROM? (no, it's not the same with Wolfbreak's and others, it is very light with minimal tweak/modification)"
yes you should.
Nice work man,
Haven't tested extensively, but in the 10 mins or so I've been playing with this ROM on my wife's phone, it's been just as GV is on my Desire - fast, smooth and pleasant to use.
The only bug to report is quiet audio recording using the videocamera but this seems to be present in all X10 ROMs ATM (WB/Ultima/TEAM/Superoxygen/Ewjet), so is certainly not a criticism of this ROM - if that could be fixed though, then this ROM would be perfect (hint hint!!)
A great release, thank you for this
- Works on either locked/unlocked bootloader
Yeah, i have a locked bootloader...so that made me happy.
I loved spaarc original one, and so if this is that with fixes and what not....I will definatley love this one. Only problem so far...is on DoomKernel battery seems to be draining rather fast...will reboot wipe stuff and edit post with update.
EDIT: after reboot and wiping ...seems good again. If not will use default one...cuz rom is fast enough with or without custom kernel.
Nice rom there. always wanted to see malysian chef.. *flashing* will report if got bug.
I just installed your ROM and so far I am happy with it. I have been trying all kinds of ROM this week on both my handset.
Would unlocking the BL allows this to run better?
Is it possible to put a std SEMC camera program?
How much free memory do we really need?
Thx.
Whenever battery percentage changes whole notification bar flickers. This is of course with cyanogenmod statusbar tweaks battery percentage shown.
Phone gets hot when doing things like browsing and playing games. Battery was usually cool with spaarc original cm7 barebones version.
Wifi sometimes never reconnects. Manually have do it through settings.
Are you going to maintain this rom or was this a one time update....I would like for you to continue working on this.....if possible thanks
What happened to your Leaf ROM? Or is that ROM is the one you wanted to release?
Hey, post some screenshot lah !

1. No, it doesn't.
2. No, it's not possible so far.
3. Not much. Shouldn't be any problems since this ROM is smaller than most ROMs out there.

1. Does this notification bar flickering happen in the original GV ROM?
2. I don't get that problem myself, so I can't check.
3. Same as above
4. If I find something I can fix, I will update it.

It is originally for the Wildfire (Leaf r3) but since I switched to the X10, I thought I'd make one. So yes, that's the ROM I wanted to release.
Oh, and, stuff will go slow since I've got my final exam trials going on.
Also, if you guys use DooMKernel, battery will drain fast since deep sleep is not working in the current version.
What do you mean DooMKernel has drainage? You mean unlocked devices would have battery drainage?

Unlocked bootloaders and running a custom kernel are two different things.
Unlocking the bootloader itself won't do anything. It's caused by the custom kernel you were able to install due to the unlocked bootloader.
I have no idea if original gv rom does the flickering unless you are talking about the first one by spaarc, and then the answer is no. Not that I remember. Also seems as if battery drains fast the first 5%....I'm on doomkernel so u can ignore that. Could add torch cuz if I flash it all it does is force close everytime.
Edit: just after posting this comment got wlod. Happened on spaarcs original one as well, same situation.

RE the torch,
If you get the torch.apk and add it to the ROM zip (system\app), then reflash the ROM, the torch works fine, even from the widget button in the notification bar.
RE the battery/WLOD,
Using stock kernel the battery life is really good and no WLOD or even force closes. The ROM runs really smooth
I will hit thanks when at PC. So far so good with your instructions.
Edit. When playing music it stutters sometimes.....annoying. flashed audio fix...better now.
Battery drain on stock seems alright...will give it a couple of days. No wlod so far.
Thought I would make this a new post, to bump this ROM/thread up.
EDIT 2: Okay battery life is now back to being wonderful. On stock kernel. Still quite fast. Audio stuttering can be SORTA fixed with audio lag fix zip by Z. No WLOD so far, probably had WLOD due to being on DoomKernel (never overclocked it though).
-Maybe add torch to ROM, I added it to the ROM zip like wildcardspv said to do...and it works.
-WiFi pain in the butt. Will NOT reconnect to WiFi after disconnected while in deep sleep. I have to manually go in and reconnect.
-Possibly add some extra governors...such as SmartASS v2, InteractiveX.
-Notification bar flickers when battery percentage changes.
-Any use of a live wallpaper slows down ROM alot.
Tried to think of other things. But to be honest...can't. This ROM is actually one of the best ones out there. WiFi is my only BIG gripe...but apart from that kinda perfect.
For the wifi issue, have you set wifi sleep policy to never? (Settings, wireless and networks, wifi settings, menu, advanced, wifi sleep policy, never) - had my wifes set like this and no wifi problem.
She also had the audio stutter and unfortunately its for that reason she's had to come away from this rom for now and gone back to spaarc's superoxygen 2.0.3 which is almost identical but haven't experienced any problems with it at all (using stock kernel).

Both the ROM s are made by me ,
So it is but natural that both are identical

Ok, so. with Synergy ROM's, I've been able to easily edit the IdleScreen_Weather.apk with my personal backgrounds and have it work. easy as pie.
Well, I decided to give Myn's Warm nightlies a shot and for the life of me. the very same process I've been using with Synergy has NOT worked on Myn's
what happens is, instead just working with the new background. the screen may not come on when I press the power button, I'll have to press it again. then, the new background will show up, but the weather won't. and alot of the time the lockring will not respond to my touch.
as soon as I Push the unmodified IdleScreen_Weather to system/app, all is fine again.
anyone tell me why this isn't working?! Do I need to sign it? permissions not right? I checked all that and signed it and still nothing!
Is myn's rom ODEX? If so thats why, I havent downloaded it yet so not sure if it is De-Odex or Odex...

No, the description says it's DeOexed.
Ok, so, tried a couple different ways of zipping up, optimzing, etc etc. no matter what I do it won't work. it gets stuck and won't display the weather and goes to black and back to the background I added. ADB pushing the original apk fixes it. so what is so different from Myn's to Synergy that this won't work?!
Maybe the problem is different bases? Myn's base is Shooter_S_Sprint_WWE_1.13.651.7 -- isn't that 2.3.3? Synergy's is a 2.3.4 base (I'm pretty sure).
Between 2.3.3 and 2.3.4, HTC changed a lot of stuff. I know the lockscreen stuff was different and people couldn't use their old lockscreens/lock rings with the new ROMs.
Just a guess that maybe that is the issue.

Is this definately what the deal is with changing the weather background on myn's? If so, can you use the idle screen weather apk from a 2.3.3 rom?
Hi all... im seeing a strange status bar reaction it come down and up by it self its really annoying and when it does that it block screen and buttons to solve that i have to lock and unlock screen...and mostly happens on game playing. this thing happens only on sense room and it happened an all of them...and it happens after 3-4 weeks not directly...
Strange is it never happened on cm,aosp,jb,pa
Any idea......Thanks.
Did you do a FULL wipe before installing your sense rom?
If you've gone from Cyanogen/AOSP to Sense, then it sounds like you haven't.
always do full wip
