Chubbz Villec Sense 4.0 & Mac Kernel - HTC EVO 3D

I flashed the latest Mac Kernel after running this Rom for a few days and after flashing kernel every time phone boots it does 'hands free activation' 'PRL update' and firmware check. Its not a big deal but just wondering if anyone knows why it didn't happen before switching kernels. Thanks.

mikes latest kernel should resolve that, if he applied the fix Chad gave them.
(Them as in mike and coolexe)

That is the kernel I flashed. Its just anoying brcause my evo has the reboot issue and it dors it every time

Or is that update thing just a known issue with the kernel?

New update

Might be a stupid question but if I'm rooted and running clean ROM should I update to the new HTC update

To stay rooted, I suggest downloading a modified ROM from these forums.

Ok thank u I almost f*** ed up I greatly appreciate it

Doing the PRI, RADIO, & RPM update shouldn't hurt anything. I'm running Viper Rom and updated just those 3 things and all is well. I don't know enough about CleanRom to say with 100% surity whether it will gank anything or not.

Camcorder Problems

Everytime I try to use my camcorder and hit the record button it force closes. Its happened on Gingerbreak and Killasense, both with the new base. Any idea how to fix it?

Killasense is kernel related. The other ROM is probably having the same issue. You'll just have to wait for a kernel update or try another ROM.

Any Rom on the new base with leankernel 6.1.0 will have this problem. I have brought the issue to Imoseyon's attention and he is looking into it.

No longer on aokp. Pa with interactive gov. Seems to be doing well.

None really help with all that. Problem is, the roms keep changing, one day thing are great, next update, not so great. Two roms have 0 issues, slimbean and flappjaxx's new one with his new kernel.
With the exception with bluetooth

Kernel causing constant reboots?

So ever since I S-Offed, I've been using it to flash multiple Sense kernels (Bulletproof, ArcReactor, etc.) And I've been experiencing constant random reboots and it then giving the notification that the values weren't applied properly after a bad restart. Is anyone else getting these notifications or are they a product of me constantly flashing one on top of the other (wiping Dalvik cache and cache beforehand though)

Oh yeah, I'm currently running Elemental X 4.2 at stock frequencies on the "Erie" I/O and "intellidemand" governor, although even switching it around to the other governor/I/Os are giving me the reboot issues

My phone has been acting a lil funny to. Don't wanna bad mouth anybodies kernal, but if somebody out there has the stock kernal for 3.16 I'd be really grateful.

Just curious...that thread says 2.13. Is it the same kernal as 3.16?

Weirdly enough I think I solved the issue: I've been using No-frills CPU Control for my kernel customizations and always check the "apply at boot" option, I unchecked it this morning and I haven't gotten ANY random reboots. If you have that option clicked, try unclicking it and see what happens, it seems to have solved the problem for me

You may have to flash a completely new ROM and just keep it at that (reflash your current Sense ROM and just keep the stock kernel on it)

Like a rooted stock Rom right? The trick is just finding one that the kernal hasn't been changed to a custom one.
