Hi...
Yersterday I flashed a new rom a Flyer 3g and I remembered once again that the Setting key in various apps was gone. I mean the one that is placed on the taskbar and in the app it self.
The apps I tried was setcpu from utuntu and aldiko bookreader. Its my fathers tab so I get reminded about it when I meat him.
The rom I installed is HC custom rom.
Have anybode experiensed this and is there a fix that you know of?

Hey guys,
I've been on numerous gingerbread ROMS CM7,Gingeritis,BAMF,Liquids DroidTh3orys(yes I have a flashing addiction problem)and I can't get MMS to work on any of them. I either get "service unavailable" or "invalid destination". I've tried GOSMS and Handcent along with the stock messenger.
While on CM7 I tried installing ROM then gapps and that didn't work. I always do a full wipe and system format before a fresh ROM install. I've always been on the MR2 radio or like now I'm on the 627r.It seems that about 80% of you are'nt having issues with MMS issues. Any workarounds or suggestions you guys can shoot at me would be appreciated. I've got a 2yr old boy and the friends and family back home are always askin for pics.
At the moment I'm running Gingeritis 1.1 with imo 3.3.4gb kernel. THANKS!

What I meant about CM7 was I installed ROM then rebooted then installed gapps.

Did you flash back to stock and see if it works? May not be a phone problem, but VZW blocking? Just a guess...
Hey vel....MMS did work before I rooted and started messing with ROMS. Thanx for the suggestion tho.

I have been running the Trigger 3.2 ROM for three or more months now, with no issues at all. However, last night I booted up my phone to find that instead of booting into the Touchwiz launcher (which I set to do by default) it booted into the second launcher Trigger 3.2 offers, the one called "Launcher". Confused I went into my settings to see if perhaps the launch by default settings were changed... but that led me to discover that TWLauncher wasn't on my phone anymore... I checked under "ALL" in my applications, no TWLauncher, went into Titanium Backup, checked under all my installed apps, no TWLauncher...
I know this issue can be fixed by using Odin to restore back go default and re-flashing the ROM. But what I really want to know is how this happened and if it is something that has happened to anyone before, because no one anywhere on the internet I could find has ever had this issue...
You can also use the included app, SGS Tools, to install TouchWiz on your phone, without having to Odin.

Do you perhaps have a copy of the sgs tools app I can download... I uninstalled the one that was on my phone...

Thanks for the download. But how do I use this app to install touchwiz?

I have never used this, but I think you use the upgrade stock apps function, then select a new touchwiz launcher.

I have a strange issue. Whenever I set my default keyboard to smart keyboard pro, my system will randomly reset it back to the default keyboard. Its very frustrating. Any ideas?

I have a friend who was having the same troubles plus some. Sounded like his started after using rom toolbox while on stock de-odexed. Had been planning on flashing a rom onto of it so never did figure out what was causing it.

seen a guy over at the development threads ask about this, but I didn't see a response. I am having the same issue, when I try to "log in" to sync my facebookgives to the widget , I get a "invalid-key"error ... the first time I flashed rocko's rom worked fine, then I tried cm9 alpha ics rom, ended up reflashing back to rocko's, then the problem started.. any suggestions/fix ? Thanks in advanced..
I am not sure what is causing the issue, but it is possible that ICS modified something in a file the ROCKO's rom didn't touch so it could be causing the problem.
Once suggestion i have is to revert back to the stock rom and then flash rocko's rom again. I would think that should do the trick.

So launcher pro is causing this issue?
Sent from my MB855 using xda premium
Am not entirely sure if launcher pro is the cause, like I said when I flashed rocko's rom from stock, the widget worked. After going to ics and back to rocko's I encountered the problem. Ill try to go bak to stock, then reflash rocko's and ill See if it works.

One more ?....wouldn't the wipe and system format prior to flashing roms erase any settings and files from the previous rom?

It works now, went back to stock, and reflshed.. but my gallery wont work. Force closes everytime..

I am glad my suggestion help you out a bit.
As for your gallery issues, I would take a look in the forums to see if anyone else is having the same problem with the gallery using Rocko's rom. It is possible it is a bug in the rom and not something with your device alone.
Sorry for delay in responding, lol I noticed I had 2 gallery icons.. one stock true other was also gallery but different from stock. That one seemed to work fine.

I kind of liked the stock keyboard that came with the galaxy s3, it no longer swypes or has the voice input since I rooted my phone using the guide in the stickies. Anyway to get those features back?

same thing happened to me, install the swype beta, it works better than the stock one and has integrated voice search.

I thought the same but if you press and hold down the key between the sym and space bar you can toggle to between the mic, write, Settings

Thats because you installed the root stock rom that is stripped. The developer stripped a lot of apk and I think Swype was one of them. You either have two choices. You can either download his zip file of all the apk and odex files that he stripped and install them back by pushing them through adb OR you can wipe your phone clean and re-flash, using Odin of course, with this Clean Rooted Stock Image located here

Personally I used the last option. I used Titanium backup to do a full backup, did a factory reset, reflashed with Odin and recovered eveything with my full backup. Also, you can use Titanium Backup to freeze all the verizon bloatware that you don't want to have, this is the safest way fro me. Hope this Helps!
