Pair Google Now with Jawbone - AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note I717

I want to pair the two so when i hit the mfb on my jawbone it opens Google now. Does anyone know how to do this?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using Tapatalk 2

Only thing I know the jawbone does is
- Push and hold to voice dial
* have you tried connecting to the Jawbone site and see if you can remap the call function?

Bump.

Ok push and hold brings up the native push to talk app, which happens to be gooflw now. Thanks for the info mate, now how to put solved in the thread totale

I still haven't figured this out.. Jawbone companion app only lets me change the single press action to battery level, current time, or both. I changed the DialApps setting on MyTalk to Voice Control, but it still doesn't launch Google Now. Any tips? I got a Jawbone Era if that changes things

Are you using Google Now on JB or ICS? Because it won't work properly in this manner on ICS. See #17 at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30809214&postcount=2

You download the Google voice app onto your phone. Once you get it set up you will no longer need to call out for voicemail, it will all be handled through the app.

Yeah that much is evident. I was just curious if I can still access my VM through a phone line as before as well.
Also, how do I change the number of rings before my VM engages?

How to disable long press headset button activates google now?

Hi guys, I need a little help here.
On ICS I used to skip songs on Poweramp using the headset button, but since I upgraded to Jellybean, the long press goes to Voice Search on Google Now? Is there a way to disable that? I already configured on Poweramp to use the long press, gave it high priority, but google voice continues taking place and there's no options there to disable it.
Any idea?

Hello. I've found "Headset Button Controller" on the market. It seems that this should be a fixer for this issue. I will try this later, because starting this google voice is annoying...

This seems to be the only solution so far:

Anyone know how to just adjust the button time for it? On my Xperia Z it is too sensitive and trying to pause/unpause music usually ends up launching it. I'll see if I can figure how to just disable the google now...

If you install a headset button conytol app and set the sensitivity of the buttons to your personal need it works pretty good.
This app does not only control the buttons but also the app itself, like Poweramp,, but also online players like Spotify an Rdio. Free, no ads.

I've made the app which brings back long-press functionality for the button. Headset Remapper remaps “HEADSETHOOK WAKE” key with the “MEDIA_NEXT WAKE”. In other words when you press the play/pause/accept/decline button (the one in the middle or the only one in your remote) it will be “seen” by the Android OS as the SKIP button (next song).
Having this done you can use your button again with its full functionality (I checked that it works with this app: Headset Button Controller). Remember that you need to configure the SKIP (MEDIA_NEXT) button not the the play/pause/accept/decline !
This app needs ROOT to run!

I tried the app and it didn't work for me on a US Cellular Galaxy S3. I'm not sure why. I started it, granted it root, and it said it was successful when I made the change. I rebooted, and then tested it out and holding the button still launched Google Now. I then restored the original file with the app. Then I followed these manual instructions in this thread and rebooted. I need to point out that I do not have a sec_jack.kl file, so I only edited Generic.kl. After doing the edit by hand and rebooting, long press now works the way I want and doesn't launch Google Now. :victory: I use Headset Button Controller for assigning the functions.

A Voice Dailer That Actually Works?

I've tried VLingo, Google, several others. All have problems:
1. Terrible with matching Contact name; usally unbelievable off.
2. Many require touching the screen to advance.
Just lookting for something that works, prefereably without a data connection needed, activated by a simple long push on BT earpiece. Free not required.
Rooted, JB installed.

I've had good luck with the the built in Google voice dialer since ICS...vlingo was my go to before that. I think there is a dragon one available in the market but I haven't tried it.

I can't seem to find a clear answer, but doesn't Google Voice require having a Google Voice account with various phones listed and it automatically switches, etc? I would rather not get involved in that.
Tried Google Voice Dialer and it was terrible!
Took out all other voice dialer apps and tried the built-in JP Google Voice. I gave it ten names to dial; it got all ten wrong. Then I tried the same name five times; it got it wrong for four different guesses. It is closer to a random phone number generator than a voice dialer. But it did fine when dictating numbers, but that's not really what I want. I'll keep looking; there has to be something better than this.

I just switched off WiFi and Data and used google now. I said "call Home" and that's exactly what it displayed. Then it prompted me if I wanted to cancel, or skip ahead and call. There was also a red bar at the bottom that was progressing indicating that it would call my home number if no action indicated I wanted otherwise. Perfectly reasonable.

That's Google Voice, a different product than Google's Voice Search. Since 4.x, it has some great offline performance but it always pulls web results, as someone mentioned.
Try out Nuance / Dragon's newer app. Hopefully, that doesn't stream every word you dictate to a corporation that believes they can do whatever they want with it (like Swype's EULA).

google now and bluetooth,.. yup were back but...

ok so google now has updated to allow voice search over bluetooth headset which DOES work...or for me anyways,. HOWEVER
we still have the same ol' problem of being not able to "push bluetooth headset button" to open google now .
or shall i say i cant find a way, has anyone else had success with this?
so far ive tried disabling s-voice in apps menu, and now it goes to google voice dial,
i cannot disable voice dial.,
ive also tried using the "bluetooth launch" app from market to no response,
any help would be majorly appreciated
update:
ive now gotten google now to come up from bluetooth button push, however seems googlenow just freezes once opened, still works fine from widget microphone press just not from BT,
this post from another site helped

I'm not sure if this is true for other phones listed above, but for The Galaxy Note II, I had to make sure S-Voice was disabled (it says Voice Dialer on the first post).
Also, if you have downloaded bluetooth launcher you probably already tried:
"Google Search" and then selected "com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.VoiceSearchActivity"
and was still launching S-Voice. Once you disable S Voice (note the space) go into Settings > Application manager and scroll to the right to ALL. Then find S Voice and disable it.
Once you disable it and hit the button on the paired bluetooth device, you will get a "Complete Action Using" dialog. Resist the temptation to choose Google search. I know it's the logical choice, however you will not get Google Now; you will get a Google voice dialer instead. So make sure you choose "Bluetooth Launch" and select ALWAYS. Now when you hit the bluetooth button, you should get Google Now.
soooo, no progress
still stuck at getting the microphone to actualy work when google now is accessed.
i see a thanks from member "exitcode1" did you have any better luck ?

My mistake... activating Now from bluetooth worked so well I just assumed the whole process would work, but the phone mic was actually hearing me from inside my bag, not the BT mic.

Hidden audio settings

I just got my watch on Friday. Today a screen popped up with 1 panel saying "mic" and another saying "speaker" I was wondering if anyone else has had this screen pop up and if they know how to get back into those settings. I also found this On Asus. Com but I can't find it on my watch or in play store does anyone know what happened to it?
were you on a call at the time? when on a call, you will see options for mic and speaker, however these are in reference to the phone, not the watch.
I wonder if the app in that pic is where I found the complete emoji list because I was playing around with the Text all. Maybe that is from a previous firmware and has been since updated and removed because it seems that that's what happened to all the emojis also. Now it makes you draw them and pick from what it thinks you want but I am no artist.
