Belkin Flipblade Stand $5 after rebate at Fry's

FYI, for those looking for an inexpensive desk stand, Fry's Electronics has the Belkin Flipblade Ipad Stand for $12 with a $7 rebate. The website has it listed for $25 - $7 rebate but in store it's $12 - $7 rebate.
Here's the Belkin link
http://www.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Product_Id=525853
Made for Ipad but it works with the Transformer. Angle is fixed but decent and for $5 plus tax, it works for me. Plus watching it open is cool .

Chicago and San Jose for sure.
Just checked the Dallas newspaper insert and it's there too. Page three of the "Dads and Grads" insert.
It's such a small ledge that actually holds the tablet in place. I wouldn't trust this one.

I was concerned about that also but the Transformer fits in nicely. In either portrait or landscape mode you can keep pushing on the top of the Transformer until the whole stand starts tipping back and the Transformer never pops out of the ledge.

TF101 Docking Canadian Pricing

I bought a TF101 about a month ago, been itching to get a dock since then. Sadly stock has been scarce. The upside is that finally a couple of retailers have dropped the price on the dock here in Canada ($150 seemed expensive IMHO). For fellow TF Owners here in Canada I've seen the dock as low as $114 or a combined TF101 (16GB) and Dock for $499 (thesource email blast this morning). Anyone else looking for a dock at a good price I'd suggest bestdirect.ca or comtec.ca
Finally picked one up from BestDirect. Orderded July 11, 2011 22:00 delivered July 13, 2011 10:20 total price including taxes (free shipping) was $129.27 Canadian WOOHOO. Although this online retailer is located in BC they shipped it from Markham Ontario (perhaps because I am in Ontario). I'd highly suggest anyone in Canada looking for the dock save some time and money and check them out
Picked up a 16GB+keyboard dock for $499-$50 coupons = $450 from Staples.ca .... that's probably as good as it gets right now
it gets better
staples.ca does price matching. Go into the store with a printout of the amazon.ca deal where you get the 32GB+dock for 599 and they will price match (they gave me no trouble anyway)... so the dock ends up being 100 canadian.
****.. that's crazy cheap. x_X
Surroundedbytrees - was the dock you received from BestDirect a B50 or B60?
It's a B60 is that good/bad/ugly?

Does it matter? As long as it works.

Has anyone received a champagne dock

I see some people received grey docks but I am yet to see a champagne one anywhere. Has anyone received one?
I have not, ordered from BestBuy on 11-28
Apparently no one has even had them in stock yet according to this http://www.nowinstock.net/computers/tablets/asus/accessories/
I am hoping they are released soon.
I'm still waiting too. Ordered both from Amazon on 11/22, with free "super saver" shipping. Tablet came on 12/17. Complained last week about delay in releasing dock, and was upgraded to next day delivery. Delivery now expected Jan 25- Feb. 8.
It seems that the champagne tablets were released before the grey ones, but the grey docks came out before the champagne ones. Weird, no?

Amazon (DE) just CANCELED my GOLD DOCK pre-order - will never be available in Germany

I am quite confused
Anybody out there dealing the same.
AMAZON (DE) has just canceled my pre-ordered GOLD keyboard dock. I pre-ordered it long ago in November 2011.
I spoke to Amazon's customer service and they declared that the golden version will not be available in Germany as a stand-alone device and that there had been only some golden docks bundled with the 32gb version of the tablet. However the grey dock stays in offer but the ETA is 1-2 month.
So, the bootom line is quite clear. Amazon (DE) has simply given up on begging ASUS for a shipment of golden docks.
Hopefully, other shops like cyberport.de or redcoon.de will have a bit more staying power cause I am so eager to get a golden keyboard for my golden tablet...
PS: I stress "golden" beacause - you would not imagine or you just would - the customer service proposed to order a grey dock instead of a golden one. Ok, we all know: it's customer service ...
What the??? I've been searching shops for weeks to find a available dock in gold with the german layout. That's horrible news Hopefully the dock pops up in other shops. It would suck not to be able to get the dock. That's at least 1/3 of the primes charme...
Weird. Amazon US has Champagne Gold Primes in stock right now, a new shipment that just went on sale today.

We are talking about the dock only in champagne gold, not the tablet.
Of course, there are gold primes and there are as well bundles (tablet 32g + keyboard dock). But believing amazon we will never get champagne gold docks stand-alone in Germany, only gray ones. Unbelievable, isn't it.
In Europe the docks are mostly only sold paired with the tablet.
In my country you cannot by any dock what so ever.

Gotcha, sorry, missed that point. I was actually wondering if ASUS was ditching the Champagne Gold period, both tablets and docks, and then was surprised to see Amazon get some Primes after all this time.
I remember somebody having Champagne docks either last week or the week before, but I can't remember who. It sure does seem like ASUS isn't making any.
For anyone who's desperate for a dock, I'll note that I'm actually using a Champagne Prime with a Gray dock, and I find the combination to be quite striking. The Champagne is going back for a different reason, likely to be replaced by one of the $399 HH Gregg Gray models, and I'm actually a little disappointed. Don't discount the mismatch, it actually looks pretty nice.
Cyberport.de currently has some docks in stock. Just ordered mine.

Yap, I knew I could rely on them.
As Amazon killed my order I called Cyberport to ask what they will do about my order and they told me to stand by them and to be patient as they will definetly be able to get this dock in Germany.
And so here we are: They shipped mine today.
This is not Amazon's or Germany-specific stance. Transformer Prime is only sold with the dock in Europe. If there's a tablet sold separately from the dock then it is possibly an import from US.
This is because according to their research people in Europe prefer to buy the tablet with the dock and not separately. I have no idea what the numbers were, but this has been stated a few times in the past already.
So if you bought the tablet from US, also buy the dock from US, as the tablet was not intended to be sold without the dock in Europe.
you got your facts wrong. you CAN buy the tablet without the dock in germany. there are two packages available.
1. the prime with 32gb storage PLUS the dock
2. the prime with 64gb storage WITHOUT the dock
i for example bought the 64gb version and now ordered a separate dock. you just can't buy the 32gb version without a dock here.

Ah alright, thank you for correcting me. ASUS told me they won't sell docks separately in EU, which made me think they won't sell tablets separately either. But apparently it's messed up.
Biggest problem here is of course the fact that EU has different keyboard layouts, which makes it tough to order dock from elsewhere either.
The dock situation has been ridiculous everywhere. The TP is really only worth it when you get the dock imo. It's nice enough on its own but the SD card slot on dock, extra battery life, USB port, etc are what make the product for me.
I too had a 64 gb gold tab and couldn't find the dock anywhere (US). Finally I bought it from an Amazon reseller (Paid $269, which sucks but I had some points no Amazon CC so didn't care too much).
Honestly I suggest going a similar root and just trying to get one at a premium via ebay or Amazon US. If it's true that Amazon US has them in stock now, that's great, maybe someone can hook you up if you cannot order directly.
Basically, Im just saying it is worth getting the dock, even at a premium. It completes the device and makes it 5x more usable.
Goodluck... Only one to blame here is Asus imo. As much as I like their products, they really suck at product launches.

Cheapest Place To Get Dock?

Whats the cheapest place to get the TF101 dock shipped to canada?
I bought mine at CompUSA refurbished for $114.00 and have had no problems. 90 day warranty-CompUSA and I think a 1 year with Asus, although I dont know if they ship to Canada, but, it is definitely worth while to take a look at.
$112 from Amazon used. That's pretty cheap and Amazon has a great return policy
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-list...?ie=UTF8&qid=1330648389&sr=8-1&condition=used
I found this:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ASUS-EEE-TRA...ccessories&hash=item4600ddc3b1#ht_1969wt_1272
$95.99 + $9.99 shipping + 13% tax = $120 (canadian seller). Do you think thats a good deal for a refurbished ? The problem with amazon and compusa for it to ship to canada is like another $20
$137 taxes and shipping in, thinking about pulling the trigger myself!

B&H Photo has them new from $117; shipping to Canada may be about $10?
Staples has them for about $100 and i got mine a few months back
I just bought a brand new one from ebay for $115. There's a few more in stock.
Got mine from B&H yesterday. Got the tablet at bestbuy for 400. B&H has it new for 350. Sucks I forgot to look their first.
At b& h photo it says that the 32gb tf101 has been discontinued!

Dock
I bought mine from Best Buy for $150. I wish I would have bought mine off Amazon. I see new ones around $100. For anyone looking I would try there first.
I had ordered a used dock from B&H for $95...They actually sent me a used TF101 instead! So now the wife is a proud owner of a tablet.
Still no keyboard dock though. It kills me that the price isn't closer to $100, but I acknowledge that no other docking keyboard has the extra battery life.
