Sorry for the noob question, but wanted to make certain before I made the financial regret on the purchase...
Say I get a used Alltel HTC Touch pro and I need it on my Sprint network... just flash with the Sprint stock ROM, run through the other steps and call sprint to activate the new phone when needed?
Would there be any issues with bad ESN's, etc?
Thanks in advance.
other facts: I have sprint, old phone broke (Mogul).
Hey guys, I was wondering if its possible to get the Eris on the sprint network. My couison with with sprint and has the Samsung moment... and I was trying to help her out with a better phone. The Eris is all I got. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What if I use Virgin? They're on the Sprint network and right now I have to pay $85 for a monthly phone plan with unlimited data (mandatory) and 250 texts/mo. I had been hoping to go to Virgin after two months (V won't unlock my phone until then) because they have unlimited everything for $60/mo.

I think Sprint and Verizon are CDMA. Now as far as Virgin Mobile..? Well, I'd assume that since they're on the Sprint network that Virgin is also CDMA, so maybe. The second poster is right, Sprint will not allow you to do this, BUT I can't tell you whether Virgin can/will or not. MetroPCS and Cricket are also both CDMA and the Eris has been confirmed working on those since early spring of last year, so hell, maybe Virgin will and in that case I'm taking my Eris to them lol!
Sorry for this question if it's been asked already. I see the thread on flashing evo3d to VM, but not other way.
Is there an easy way to flash a Virgin Mobile HTC Evo V to Sprint? I'm wondering if it is as easy as running the sprint RUU flash.
i'm happy with a rooted stock evo3d ROM with Wimax, is that possible?
There is a fire sale for the Evo V, so this looks viable to replace my OG EVO 4G.
Thanks.
edit: my bad,,, I'm reviewing the flash to VM thread and I forget that is will require a donor phone and the whole bunch of stuff. So i don't think this is as easy as running the RUU!!!
info about my phone HTC EVO V- S-OFF- running hood pope rom
I've been thinking about taking my phone to either ting or page plus or somewhere else I'm not sure. The primary reason I'm thinking of doing this is cause no roaming on virgin and where i work there is no coverage on sprint but there is on Verizon.
So with that, does anyone know a good carrier to do this with?
Will I still be able flash roms for the htc evo v?
n if i did would i half to make modifications once done, so the mms or data or whatever would work?
thanks for any help u guys can provide
I have HTC EVO 4g LTE that is currently working with PagePlus. I think it might not have been programmed 100% correctly because data doesn't work too well. I just mainly use it for talk and text.
I would like to revert back to Sprint. I received the phone like this so I'm a total newbie when it comes to phone programming.
Could somebody explain to me how I can revert it back so that I can use it with Sprint/Sprint Mvno?
It's still on Sprint's original rom.
I would like to make sure that when I do program it back to SPrint, that the data settings and all that will also be reverted back to Sprint.
It's a clean ESN phone with Sprint.
Thanks
