Hello!
I just got my XPS today. I promptly installed ICS 4.0.4 on it but now my Live wallpaper is not moving anymore. Any way to fix that?
I ticked the box for Forced GPU Rendering if that's got something to do with it.
Did you checked if your wallpaper is on?Longpress on homescreen empty area,on the up right corner you will have icon like a brush click on that select live wallpaper and click on cosmic flow

Yes! I got it now, but it used to change immediately whenever I changed the color of the theme instead now it turns static. Huh. Well I can live with that.
That's normal on ics.
Annoying but nothing to worry about.

Warning!!! As someone commented he was totally unaware of this problem until he used this fix and it destroyed his experience with his phone
[REQ]Any developer that could help me with something? I want to make this app matching system UI with ready filters and put it in Setting so that it will look integrated like the galaxy screen settings, that would help ppl think the screenproblem is just a soft problem and doesn't depend on hardware. Please be kind and PM me
As many have noticed, and even made some ppl crazy is the yellow tint on our screen(HTC One X, Xperia Ion, S etc).
Searching for screen filtering at play store made my day!
Then i found this app: LINK
I installed it and then made a filter with:
Red 0
Green 0
Blue 8
Brightness: 100%
Contrast: -0
That made me feel like replacing the whole screen!
Second thing you should do is:
Press the MENU-button and go in to Options
Autorun [YES]
Hide status bar icon [YES]
Enjoy your screen! :victory:
Any influence on battery life? Nice find anyway.

My phone is doing something really strange....
The wallpaper is starting to leak black. At the top, over time, it is starting to go dimmer.
I can change the wallpaper again and it goes back to normal... but then it keeps going black...
I have Omega rom 44.3, Touchwiz launcher.. does it with all wallpaper images...
I have attached the two examples, before and after...

Hi guys,
Got a problem trying to set a wallpaper on 240dpi, I have tried both the stock gallery and quick pic to crop the images for the screen but both end up with the wallpaper being zoomed in.
No matter what I try I can't get the image to look right on the screen, any ideas?
Cheers in advance,
Blinky

Be more specific; do you mean the lockscreen or the home screen/s? If you have wallpaper scrolling enabled, this is probably why. If it is on the lockscreen, I am not so sure.

Cheers for the reply, I tried disabled wallpaper scrolling and it didn't sort it out. I did check the lock screen and the wallpaper acts the correct way there so it is just the home screen.
Any other ideas, using omega of it helps.
Cheers

Hello,
I noticed on the G3 you cannot set the lick screen wallpaper to be the same as the home screen.
On the other android phones I have had you can set this option, which allows your live wallpaper to be used as your lock screen.
Am I just not finding the setting?

I'm missing this too. Anyone?
EDIT
Nevermind...d'oh.

You're just missing the setting.
Go to Settings >> Display >> Home Screen >> Wallpaper, and set your wallpaper using the "Gallery" app (first in the list on my G3). When you click OK you should get a pop-up confirmation dialog with a checkbox "Set on Lock screen". That'll set them both the same.

Yea that is for setting a static image. I am referring to the feature that seems to exist in all phones but this one, where you can set a live wallpaper as your home screen and then have the lock screen be that same live wallpaper.

No worries! It is a pretty neat feature. I use Muzei live wallpaper with the reddit plugin. It shows a new background from the sub reddit earthporn (beautiful landscapes and locations) every 60 minutes.

I always wanted to have a live wallpaper of the Earth based on my current location...or from orbit with a choice of orbital speed.
I have a feeling this might be related - but I also noticed that when you're setting a lockscreen wallpaper, it doesn't bring up any of the icon packs as options to pull a wallpaper from, like other phones do, and like it does when you set a homescreen wallpaper. Odd...
This is probably a stupid question....
But why do I have a green wedge in the lower left corner of my phone on the home screen and lock screen?
I don't recall seeing on this on the display models I played with.
Are you sure this is not part of your wallpaper?
Even if it's not, try chainging the wallpaper just to refresh home screen a bit
