Hello as others so i had this problem and posted in Q&A thread searching for a solution.
Since then, nothing useful came up but i have collected several threads pointing to the same or almost same problem i am facing.
All am asking is again some brainstorming so we can pin point any solution or what our next move will be.
All Xperia users are free to post here their experience and any fixes to this evil red led or anything they think useful to finding the cause of this.
Here are some threads i have collected in about 1-2 weeks time!!!

Thanks for Link.
It seems that guy in your link fixed it but he didn't say how.
So anyone that was able to fix this issue?
Or at least give something to try out for fixing it.
I found on other forum possible solution. Connect phono to charger and wait when red led turn off then vol+ power. Put phone on few minuts then try fastboot mode. Orginal thread in polish language http://forum.android.com.pl/f561/telefon-nie-uruchamia-siae-po-flash-kernel-sin-221311/

Hello.
First off, I hate myself for doing this, because it is the wrong thing to do. But I have done the right things....
I was wondering if any of you would say that you have experienced such a bug or not:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1106272
Also, the glow on the edges - it is messed up. it looks like the attached image.
Can anyone PLEASE confirm whether it is a software bug, or a hardware bug? I need to know so I can replace my handset if buggy.
Thank you.
Mo.
P.s. I am a developer myself, so you can talk to me
It is neither a software bug, nor a hardware bug. This is a classic example of an 'operator' bug. As I see you are a 'developer', you will undoubtedly be able to fix it, most probably by pushing back your backed-up files right? You did take back-ups didn't you?
PS I'm sure many folk are curious as to why you posted this question in the development thread. Oh! It must be because you are a developer.
Anyway, either push back your backups, or reflash the ROM.
Allgamer please move to Q&A section..

thanks for the reply.
I posted this in the Q&A but there was no answer (Given 100 or so views!), so I thought I need to post this in dev to see whether any of you had the same problem or not.
Well, yes I do have a backup. The question is why it happens sometime after the screen has been on, and not instantly? I mean at first and for the first -say 2hrs- the screen is fine, but afterwards this 'bug' appears.
Nothing gets rid of it, unless you reboot the phone.....
Thanks for the reply,
Mo.
If you can screen capture it, it's not a hardware bug.
p/s: I'm a "Validator"

Still not a reason to post it in dev.
And come on, this is a software bug... Surely it's patently obvious. If you fix your tweak, it should work fine.
As title says
When turn on the Wifi sometimes the phone restarts, the same case when lost signal and turn off he wifi
I need your help because i don`t know what is causing this

There's a help thread for your queries

maybe there's something wrong with your question that is why it "takes ages to respond"
or maybe should have investigated first before posting O_O
Hi !
Need some help and some guidance from the members regarding a serious issue with my Xperia Sola
The main issue with my Xperia Sola is that the screen freezes 2 or 3 times a day on various situations like when i am browsing on the internet or just browsing thru menus and or even when i write a text message. A random freeze i can call it! The screen freezes and looks like when you're watching a 3D movie without glasses. it's a bit..i don't know the exact term to decribe it but looks exactly like i said. So, after that it becomes unresponsive and the only thing i can do is to restart the phone using up volume button + start button at the same time! Then, it's coming back to life and...i am waiting for the next **bleep** freeze again!
The phone is upgraded to the latest version of android 4.0 with the Latest available software: 6.1.1.B.1.54. I allready performed an repair thru the pc companion on my pc and also tried SUS but the problem is still there.
I don't know wether is a hardware issue or a software issue!
Any ideeas?
Thank you!
I am sorry. I guess this thread should of been posted in the Q&A Help section! My apologies. I am new!
Men, the. 54 FW is sooooooo buggy! :-/

This is Sony issue. They made this phone so buggy in both hardware and software that they just abandoned it (and whole novathor line excluding xperia go) after 9 months after premiere. I've tried multiple ROM's and tweaks, and still Sola is the worst android device I've ever used. Best thing you can do is just buy a phone which is not manufactured by Sony. Sorr dude.
Hi..I had the very same problem that is mentioned in this thread, and it seems like that the phone is dead for good:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2383875
My only question is, how can I extract my photos & vedios from the internal memory? Of course I understand that this isn't about USB cables and stuff, I know that I'll probably have to dissemble my phone, and I'm willing to do that, I just need to know what to do exactly? Thanks in advance for every body..

I believe there are devices that can read the memory, find a lab that has one compatible with your phone.
Have you tried all tricks, like rubber band?

What kind of lab? sorry my English isn't that good and Google translate didn't help in this one (All I know is that "lab" means laboratory, but I think that this not what you've meant at all).

I've tried every thing but the "rubber band trick". in fact this is the first time I hear about it but anyway I'll search for it in the forums and try it.. if it helps to know the phone doesn't work even in fast boot or flash mode.
Thanks..

Looks a lot like the problem I have, after changing the screen. Also "the red light of Death"...
Check here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/help/changed-lcd-dead-battery-t2979912
Maybe the heatgun / hairdryer destroyed something on the inside?
Good look. Hope you find a solution...

Can you try to take out the battery and then connect the usb to a charger (not computer).
Do you see a batterylogo on the screen then? Then it is almost for sure the exact same problem.

I am still looking for solutions (every day ), but did not find any yet...
This is a problem that exists on the Z1, Z2 and Z3, so if one can solve it, then many people are happy

Yeah, me too.... i am love my Z2 so much... 2 years with me and nothing problems until i changed the new battery :'(
I beginning to think that it is not hardware, not a difference in drivers/firmware incompatibility, but a sort of failsafe that kicked in when you change hardware.
Not sure how to search for solutions :/

I saw your post and was searching for solutions and i found this, its for Xperia Z and the method can potentially harm the device if not done properly but its worth a try if you have the required tools.
And I'm not responsible for anything that goes wrong after you trying this

Thank you but this is to unbrick a phone to force the phone to load the battery (andthat is a common problem with the Xperia Z-Series too!
If the connector is bad, then one can use the magnetic charger. This charger has its own connector on the inside of the Z2. (and I tried that too )
But thank you very much for the tip!
