Me Tooo i wish i could help, but i don't know how to dump the partitions!
You need rooted phone, you need installed busybox, than you can send command:
fdisk -l
than you can dump every partition by command:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0pxxxxx of=/sdcard/mmcblk0pxxxxx
xxxxx is partition number so you need to change xxxxx to proper number...
Is your phone network locked? You buyed locked?

After my analyse I need mmcblk0p2 and mmcblk0p3 ...so you need to dump these 2 partition by command:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/mnt/sdcard/mmc2
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 of=/mnt/sdcard/mmc3
You can install android terminal emulator from play store and perform these 2 commands! Than send me these 2 files (mmc2 and mmc3) that will be located on your internal sdcard...
just want to ask what happened, do you need these files or is it a no go
AFTER ICS UPDATE I DONT BUT ITS SIM FREE BUT THANKS FOR REPLY-ing

Hi munjeni,
I own a similar phone and I am also interested in unlocking it. I attached the two dumps that you've requested.
My phone is locked on Orange Romania, which has MCC+MNC = 22610. The MCC+MNC string can be found in mmc2 partition.
View attachment mmc2_mmc3.zip
Thanks!
later edit: I've managed to obtain the official unlock code! If you think it can help to do reverse engineering on the ST25i model, just let me know and I will post all required information.

guys, i made a whole research about unlocking SE X10, but still no luck.

Hello, I have an xperia u locked on yoigo spain, it is sim locked and bootloader is locked too (well I need only to be sim free because I am from Romania and I can not use the phone at all). It has ics 4.0.4 and I rooted it with bin4ry method. Is there a way to unlock to work in my country carriers?? And if it can, and if you need that dump partition just tell me exactly how to write in terminal emulator to save that dump and send to you. Thanks in advance, it would be awsome if you could help me.

Yea, it's same IMEI in everywhere.
Thanks
I suggest you to flash some ROM, i think it will remove any SIM Locks and so one. Find ROM on development forum for your phone.
You can get a Worldwide sony ericsson Unlock Code from imeicodes.co.uk this however takes about a week to get your code, so you need to be patient. The code will work fine aslong as you havent used up your tries to enter it (just like a nokia phone). It's a good idea to check your unlock code attempts before ordering a code by doing the following:
Press menu < < menu < menu menu <
Then you can check the counter [0 or 5].
If it says 0 then you cannot enter codes.
And STOP giving your IMEI on public sites!

Thanks. but, now im trying to install custom rom to my mobile.
Thanks again for infor
This http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888227is not ROM but tutorial on making new one. I'm using this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059361 and it's very good. First you have to check if your Baseband Version is M76XX-TSNCJOLYM-53404015 (Settings→Phone info (I don't remember how it exactly is in English). If not, you must use FlashTool to change it. Next, you have to root your device, install ClockWorkMod (xRecovery) and flash your new ROM.
I'm not sure if it will remove SIM Lock although it's worth of trying. Ask if you have any questions.
Sorry about my english if I wrote sth wrong

Good night. (3:25 AM here )
99% sure roms don't remove sim locks :<
Flashing a ROM has nothing to do with your SIM Lock. So no flashing will magically unlock your device. You need to get the proper unlock code, or have someone with a unlock dongle to do it.

Sure if you got more tries to use with correct unlock code you still can do that.
Else you can get it unlocked via dongle.

Hi, I've had my ray for about a week now, and i'm already sick of the stock .62
I started unlocking my bootloader, the method from the Sony website. But when it asks me for my IMEI, it wants a 14 digit number, and mine is 15. I don't know what to do. Is there another solution? I would love some help. I have searched everywhere but apparently no one has the same problem.
I want to flash Miui but i'm new to this phone and I don't have a clue about anything. It was so much easier on my Optimus One

I was just wondering whether (in my current condition) bootloader unlock allowed = no
should be bootloader unlock allowed = yes ?
I bought my sola from target (locked to vodafone AU) - but I already owned a telstra SIM, so I went to voda and got a SIM unlock code for my phone, and managed to successfully unlock my phone and use my telstra SIM, the thing is - shouldn't this mean that bootloader unlock allowed = yes ?
From my understanding and research, {if} SIM lock = no; {then} bootloader unlock allowed {should be} = yes; is this true ?
<Service menu screenshots attached>
I asked Vodafone and they gave me nothing useful, and then I asked sony and they reckoned it is not unlockable, but from what i have read, it should be ?
Their (SONY'S) Reply:
Unfortunately if the Bootloader is listed as not being unlockable this can not be changed. This is a choice of the network the handset is designed for and is not tied into any form of SIM or network lock.
Also something else that doesn't make sense is that Sony provided me with a bootloader unlock key even though they know it is not unlockable: ...
You have requested an unlock boot loader key from unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com.
Your unlock boot loader key is: 8***************
------ YOU DON'T NEED TO FINISH READING THE REST (ONLY IF YOU NEED MORE INFO), OTHERWISE PLEASE REPLY and thank you soo much in advance :fingers-crossed::good:------
{What I Sent Them}:
I unlocked the phone successfully from Vodafone using the unlock code they supplied to me to be able to use it with any carrier, but my Bootloader Unlock Status Allowed = No. Shouldn't it be yes, as I have no SIM lock now?
{Handset Unlock Procedure for IMEI: 352264057451326

Firstly
It took me a long time to read this m tired now
Secondly
Sim lock has nothing to do wid bootloader unlock
Sony gave u an unlock key
Bt remember u have to put only 14digits of ur imei to get a key
So u can say that its not DEVICE specific ( there are probabilities that key will work on 10 sony devices wid same 1st 14digits of imei) ( not necessarily true)
Its only a matter of luck that u got a handset wid unlock bootloader

Hamdogg, I specifically need the actual image of the unlocked bootloader partition. Basically through adb shell and running the following command to pull the aboot partition, which is the bootloader, and pull it into the sdcard, dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot of=/sdcard/aboot.img
Do you have an unlocked bootloader? If so could you possibly dump that image for me?

Root method for all htc devices is identical, provided htcdev supports an official bootloader unlock for your model. Just good how to root htc "your model" and pick the right result
