Hi guys,
I am new to your Sony Ericsson forum here. Normally I've got an old HTC Wildfire, but a friend of mine, got a xperia sola for a couple of weeks. She is not very experienced at mobile phones and android. Today she asked me for help, because her sola does not boot anymore. She has shut it down before going to sleep, and has put it on the charger. Today morning, she tried to start it again, but when pressing the power button, nothing happens. Even when the charger is connected, the led doesn't come up.
The sola is completely stock. Not rooted, no custom rom's. Completely OEM. 2 months old.
What to do? Please help her
Greetings from Germany
Problem solved!
Sorry for this useless topic.
Problem solved.
Told her to press volume up and power once.
And it booted
Thx anyway.

My XPS shutdowns randomly after flashing to ICS. I had also rooted my phone with Locked bootloader But due to the problem faced by me i re-flashed with the stock ICS firmware but my phone still shutdowns randomly....
While shutting down It displays Android System and a dialog box which says shutting down please help......
To be precise:
My phone vibrates and turns off. In this days i realized that before vibrates it shows "Android System" and "Shutting down" dialog . that is not cause of battery low. it happened with 70%, 100% battery as well.
that is a 'problem' i've had since i got my xperia arc 2, 3 or 4 times a month it crashes and reboots. i never found out what the problem is/was. i was always rooted.

Hi Rian18,
Kindly do a repair of the firmware u can get it in the pc companion when u connect ur phone to the pc u have an option for repairing.
Maybe this will help. Let us know
My GB firmware used to crash every 2 days or so, forcing a reboot as if battery was removed. It also existed on custom roms. Now after 1 month of ICS usage, I never ever crashed, never had a FC in any app except one time with Facebook app, which is crap
guys i tried repairing the firmware and after repairing 7 days later the problem has started once again ....
So i decided to flash back to GB but after flashing i noticed that even while charging the phone android battery status says Discharging.....
Please help ......

shutdown
are you not accidentally pressing the power button
NO dude not at all not is the battery drained out.. I just found out a few people faced the same problem with Nexus But there is no solution on that website..
Since i am not able to take the screenshot of the problem i am attaching one from the Nexus forum..
how come no one has a solution for this...
I've looked around sufficiently and I have yet to find anything to fix my problem.
I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 MiniPro U20A and I was fiddling with the CWM menu I installed and after a few messages for one of the actions I get a message along the lines of this action will make the menu not work because of an earlier action, I was like oh crap. The damage was done so I decided to continue and just re-flash the original through SEUS.
Long story short I can't access flash mode.<- Yeh see that, that there is a period, I have tried method after method and It wont do it. I guess at times in its current state it runs out of battery and that might be why I get the red blinking light for a while before it continues to the Sony Ericsson logo and stays, it doesn't loop power like when I accidentally soft bricked it my first try at unlocking the boot loader, it just stays until I unplug it and it dies or I pull the battery. Sometimes after I pull the battery and press the power button it vibrates before the logo, but it never goes anywhere.
So that's all of the symptoms I can see, now I want you to tell me if you can help me or if this is just a useless cause so I can go on complaining about the lack of development for the Samsung Vitality a.k.a. Admire that my sister handed down to me when she got her new phone.
Maybe you need a new battery, like I did.

Battery works fine on a full charge but ever since I bricked it I haven't been charging it that much.
I was thinking there could be a way to boot from sd card, but a quick search didn't turn up any results. Any help at all would be appreciated.
Small update, sony pc companion recognizes that it is a sony device but it wont recognize it as an ericsson x10 mini pro it just says unknown device.
so, turns out to access flash mode your phone must have plenty of charge. Sorry for bugging and thanks to munlicar for trying to help.
Hi all,
I recently buy a xperia neo mt15i and take to a shop to unlock.
Then I start with bugs, every time I press the power button to go to sleep, it restarts the phone.
I install a app to lock the screen, and happens the same.
I flash the 4.0.4 android hoping to solve the problem but no, recently every time I make a call or answer after maybe 5 secs, it dropped.
I flash different roms, that I find for my phone, but in vain.
I buy a new battery, I put a paper in the battery, etc. but its on the same.
Is there anything that can be done, or forget it and get a new phone?
Thank for all the help, in advance.
Hello people,
I've been into android root, unlock BL etc stuff a long time, I'm still a beginner though, but I do know some stuff to help myself, or do basic roots/unroot etc.
I had an Xperia PRO, and later bought an Xperia Z1. My Z1 is (kinda) OK, expect that when I submerged it into a pool, just to have some fun underwater pictures, my screen stopped responding in the middle (its annoying, probably the digitizer has stopped working there, ill send it to sony nvm). For the time my Z1 is at Sony's I'll use my old Xperia PRO, It had Ultima Kernel and Stock 4.0.4 Android, and it had an update availiable. I was so not in the mood to check it out, and i just clicked mindlessly the install button... My phone powered off.. And never turned on again. No power on, no LED when pluged to PC/Charger, no vibration, no hard reset, no nothing. It was totally dead. And i remember how i unlocked the BL using test point method, i still had that cable (handmade), so i connected Xperia PRO like when i tried to unlock BL. And guess what!? My PC read it as QHSUSB_DLOAD, I was pretty surprised it's still alive. Well, I can't find any working drivers or figure out what to do with it, but that's why i came here.
I would really appreciate some help on what to do, anyone knows how to restore it.

it can only be restored by setool .... contact me on gtalk i can help [email protected]
Holy mother of Jesus, I did it. Not with setool, but with s1tool. I found the drivers, it recognized my phone when connected via test point as zeus flash device, I restored at s1tool, and then flashed via flashtool a stock rom and voila! It's aliiiiveee!!!
Thank you for givin me the idea and for responding.
Hey,
i have a Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet SGP521 with cyanogenmod 12. It worked quite good until yesterday. i applied a new cyanogenmod update, just as i did many times before. Battery was 100% and it was standing in my Dockingstation.
Now i cant switch the phone on. Nor can i enter the Downloadmode neither the Recovery Mode. When i plug it into a PC it doesnt get recognized. no LED is on. Also Odin doesnt recognize it.
Any ideas? Maybe the battery is broken? Thanks!
(english is not my native language)
A customer of us had this problem whilst upgrading the original SONY Android. After the upgrade the Tablet was absolutely dead and not recognized by the Computer anymore. It was running flawlessly all the time UNTIL the upgrade and its reboot
We sent it to the German SONY repair partner and they had no spare parts for the Z2 Tablet. Something was broken inside.
So our customer got a new Z4 Tablet instead!
Hey Guys,
it works again now. i disassembled the tablet, and depluged the battery. after i plugged it in again it works. sadly i broke the glas when i tried to open it :crying:
Thanks anyway.
