If you have Wind mobile and you are having problems try swapping your sim. If you have an older Wind sim the Note will not work on wind.

Root and Unlock Galaxy S3 i747?

Hi,
i just got i747 Galaxy S3 from Bell i would like to root and unlock it.
I also i have figured out that the CM8 for i9300 is not compatible with i747.
Is there a ClockworkMod version for i747 available?
Can it be rooted and unlocked?
I would like to use it on Fido.
thank you.
I cannot find any tutorial how to root and unlock i747.
Thanks.
I am afraid there is nothing for the I748 version yet.
Only the international version had root so far.....
I am afraid you are going to have to wait.....
EDIT :

So I'm assuming that currently there's no way to sim unlock an i747m for free then.. right?
Also, I noticed Bell and Rogers are i747m and Telus is i747d. What exactly is the difference between the two?
Looking at this post:

Is it safe to assume that I can buy any unlocked Bell/Rogers/Telus Galaxy S3 from kijiji and expect LTE to work on Rogers correct?

If iam not wrong there is no hardware difference between those i747's mostly it's the software which makes the difference.
My concern is more now should i sell my Bell i747m or not? Cannot use the phone at all since iam on Fido. I would rather buy then the international i9300 Galaxy S3 rather spending 33$ to unlock the phone.
I can sell it then for the same price and buy then the i9300.
Iam not sure if its even possible to unlock the i747m at all via a app or patch. I cannot find any info about it
I got Bell S3 as well and so far I747M model dont have this nv_data.bin file for unlock. But someone already send the Bell file to developers so they can come up with the unlock app. : (
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180992127295&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:CA:1123
I got my Bell s3 unlocked with this guy. So when you buy his service from ebay, he then will send you an email what tools you need to download and install ( teamviewer and usb redirector). Also if you are lucky, he will reply to you immediately and letting you know that he is onlin. Make sure you have different sim card. Pretty easy instruction. : )
I don't know why people are okay with these ebay sellers/unlock sites, most of them are illicitly accessing the handset manufacture's database and billing you for it, unfortunately telus has a $50 unlock fee for no reason other then that they can. If anyone could create a free sim unlock solution we would be much better off, lets stop looking for the best of the worst in these expensive unlock codes and just wait for the excellent devs to come up with a solution, I just feel dirty supporting those people... Anyone agree?
Unlock
Hello XDA members,
This is my 1st post on this website. I just wanted to let you know that the I747 from AT&T Galaxy S3 (locked) that I bought from eBay (which was new btw) was unlocked via software that I paid from this site called Unlockclient.com and it works. It took less than 5 minutes to permanently unlock my phone. It has all the versions of the I747/M/R. Thank you all for this awesome website.

# If you trouble yourself to start at the beginning of this page and read the stickies you will come to the conclusion that you are not the owner of I9300 and this is I9300 forum .
I9300 firmware will brick a non I9300 model .

[Q] Root help

I tried rooting my Galaxy S3 using Odin3 v1.85 with CF Root- SGS3 -v6.3 but was unsuccesful. I thought i bricked my phone but was able to flash with boot-stock sprint-SPH-l710 to get it back to a useable condition.
I tried to root it again using the same method but i keep getting ths same result and i keep having to flash it with the sprint file.
When i put the phone into download mode it shows 11 attempts and as being custom but the phone is not rooted.
Any suggestions on how to complete the root process?
Thanks in advance

Samsung Galaxy S3 Unlock Issues

Hey guys,
I've been trying to unlock my phone for a few days now. Long story short, I moved from Canada to Japan and now I want to unlock my S3 to use a Japanese SIM.
I bought an unlock code from eBay. I was previous running cyanogenmod but then I was told that rooting will cause issues, so I unrooted my phone after an unsuccessful SIM unlock attempt. (wiped the phone, installed stock TW)
Even after unrooting I still had issues, and was given directions for the Service mode. That did not work either. I have tried many different methods and troubleshooting tips and nothing seems to have worked.
Here are some screenshots of the debug mode, my phone details, and a simple root checker app I installed.

Here are some specs: SGH-i747m Samsung Galaxy S3 on Bell running official firmware 4.4.2
Thanks for reading, and I really hope someone can help ;_;

My first thoughts are that since its from ebay it might not be a real unlock code.
I have had a lot of difficulty unlocking my GS3, as well. I actually got the codes from ATT, my carrier. I've tried 4 times, each unsuccessful. It says that after 5 failed attempts, the phone is forever locked to ATT, so I'm afraid to try that last 5th time. I was wondering if you could root, and then unlock more reliably. Is that possible?
Root makes no difference, you probably don't have an i9300 if you are on ATT.

Can't determine the correct model of s5

Hello everyone first time posting on her, anyway my brother in France sent me a Galaxy s5 it was running lollipop 5.0 so naturally i wanted to upgrade i did a manual update search but it said that's the recent one so i took a look under the battery and the stickers says my phone model is SM-G900T but when you boot in odin mode at the top it says the model is SM-G900P so i got confused after that i went to sammobile and downloaded marshmallow for both models and tried to flash them m. The T-Mobile's one failed odin said something about authorization but the sprint one went okay the phone works okay great in fact i rooted it and everything exept i can't get 4g to work only 3g i searched in the forums and found out about unlocking band 3 but i have to have an MSL code or something and i have no idea how to do that. The phone is unlocked by the way i live in Tunisia and get data and calls fine so my questions are
1- what's the correct model of my phone?
2- how to enable band 3 so i can get 4g on my phone?
Any help would be appreciated thank you guys

How do I permanently remove the AT&T logo and bloat? [Galaxy S9+ AT&T Model SM-G965U]
MODEL: Galaxy S9+ AT&T SM-G965U
This is the first time using android, I'm from iPhone. Recently got an S9+ from the used section of Amazon and want to remove all of the AT&T bloat since I'm on Tmobile anyway and it's so tacky. Is there a good guide on how to do this? Can someone help me get started? Thanks.

You can cross-flash the device using modded or patched ODIN to convert your S9 Plus to U1 first after fully wiping, then flashing it to the T-Mobile firmware if you happen to want all of the T-Mobile bloat. If not, then just flash to U1. There are plenty of instructions with links on how to do so around here.
I've found a lot of different tutorials but not sure which one to trust exactly. I'm new to Android and don't want to brick my phone so is there a good detailed tutorial for this?
