Hi, i am new with the Xperia P, today i put a rom and did wipe cache/data and format system, and now not boot up, but if it enters to recovery...
How to put a firmawe? and how to force off why is on for more 1 h...
Thanks, sorry for my bad english.
Solved, After pressing all buttons to turn off (turn it off with the two vol buttons and power button), flash with FlashTool and ready.
I think you placed the rom then wiped. It should be the other way around.
After flashing the ROM, you should not format the system. Because you just installed the ROM in the system. Now formatting it won't make any sense. Hence it will not boot up.
Only cache and dalvik wipe will do after flashing the ROM.
I did wipe cache/data and format system before flashing the rom.

I have just flashed my Galaxy 5 with Cyanogenmod latest and it is now stuck on a reapeating splash screen of a little blue droid guy, its not doing nothing i cant access my phone as it wont advance from this splash screen, i have removed my battery but nothing has worked.
Any quick tips/fix please?
have you wiped data, cache, and dalvik cache?
I havent a clue what you mean so i'm guessing not aha:/
whats your custom recovery?
for amonra, there should be an option called wipe and it has everything i just said.
for clockworkmod, theres wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and under advanced, theres wipe dalvik cache
I am not 100% positive but i used Clockworkmod v4 in order to get Cyanogenmod 7 onto my device if that answers your question? (im new to all this stuff).
All ive did is;
Installed clockworkmod v4
rebooted my device.
installed cyanogenmod as a zip from my sd card
rebooted my device.
Turned it back on and just this splash screen repeating
Im sorry i suck at this aha
with your phone off, hold home+vol down+power.
when it boots into clockworkmod, on the first menu, there should be an option to wipe data/factory reset and another one to wipe cache. do both.
then after you are done with that, go into the advanced menu and select wipe dalvik cache. now reboot
When i hold that combination down it brings up Download mode for some reason :S
oh yeah. my bad i was thinking about my phone.
try reinstalling the recovery (using odin) and see if it boots back into recovery (do this at your own risk; since i dont have a phone that uses odin, im not sure if this will work or not)
Could this damage/brick my phone?
Thank you so so so so much sir! Id take my hat off for you, if i wore one!
I love you.
im guessing it worked, right?
no problem
Yes ahah, longest 3 minutes in my life though! Thanks alot.
So I installed CM7 Beta and now I'm stuck in the splash screen.
So the CM7 screen keeps repeating itself.
Can someone help me get out of this?

Click to collapse
How do i do that. I havent been using my phone in a while
also make sure you're using either the most up to date CWM from Rom Manager or the most up to date version of Romracer's recovery
most ppl who run into the bootloop problem with cm7 install forget to wipe data/factory reset...make sure u boot into recovery and do that.. on the latest CWM it's the 3rd option down
PEOPLE:
How do I get to the place where I can wipe the memory or clear cache? Is it Power+Vol Down?
yeah it power then hold volume down untll you see fastboot. then hit volume down untill you see android recovery, then hit volume up
YES! Got it working.
Thanks for all of those who helped!
Im glad it was that easy
i got a problem with an i 9100P android 2.3.6 tim
each try i do to flash or reset it wont update, it gives me passed but phone is back as before, i tried to unistall apps and account but is allways the same.
thats very weird.
tried with kies too, it detects phone, advice me of ics update i choose update and do not backup, it does all but on reboot i have phone always on gingerbread.
any hint?
go into recovery volume up + Home Key +power and clean the cache.
Then go into advanced and clean daavik cache. reboot and maybe the rom will boot up pproperly.
i did wipe data and wipe cache the problem is that it has android system recovery (3e) with no advanced option, and even if i do wipe data and reboot phone i have still all data there
Hello,
I have a locked BL with a stock .54 firmware (Xperia P), I rooted and flashed a rom recently which worked perfectly.
I just read that a FXP207 ROM was avalaible for locked BL, so I tried to install it: I did the following:
(This rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130986)
Data/factory reset
Wipe cache & Dalvik
Flash the rom
Flas GAPPS
Data/Factory reset
Wipe Cache & Dalvik
Except now, the phone is stuck at the SONY logo, and if I press the volume UP + Start button (to reboot), i can't go to CWM to flash/Reflash something else.
Is there a way of doing anything ?
Regards,
FoX
PS: did not post that in the ROM topic because I don't have the reply right.
Edit1: Oh, I just noticed that I forgot to re-flash the stock .54FTF firmware... could that be the cause? Do I just have to wait for the phone to shutdown (I only know how to reboot it) and flash the firmware ?
Update1: Successfully (by keeping volume up + power) shut down the phone, flashed .54 firmware, no change.
Problem solved via flashing .54 properly.
I was running cm12.1_janice-130915 on my Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 for a couple of days, than I got a bug which could perhaps be fixed by wiping the dalvik chache and another chache, so I long-clicked the power button, opened the reboot menu and chose 'Reboot into Recovery' after which it rebooted into recovery. However when I tell it from the recovery to reboot to system, it won't, it will reboot to recovery again.
So I started of by wiping partitions and chaches in the hope that the setting would be 'undone' in the end I did a factory reset and put the rom on my phone again, though it's still booting into recovery modus.
I don't know what I could do anymore. ADB-sideload won't run (if that would be any help). Is my phone a brick now or is there hope?
Sounds like you will need to restore the stock firmware / OS with Odin.
