[Announcement]Streakdroid.com DNS issues

TheManii said:
Like topic title, streakdroid.com is having issues with it's DNS entries.
Anyone that hasnt recently connected to streakdroid wont be able to connect, if you have recently then it will work.
The server itself is fine, it's merely being able to reach it that's the issue.
One workaround is to add this to your hosts file for the time being:
Code:
174.122.149.190 mirror2.streakdroid.com
174.122.149.190 streakdroid.com
I will also be remirroring everything on dev host, but I will be doing it slowly.
Currently there are only a couple things mirrored, but I will slowly add them as requested.
The folder structure will be mostly identical.
DevHost Public URL.
Feel free to list a specific file you need and I'll upload it immediately/sooner.
I would prefer that files not be mirrored elsewhere, and ask that they be taken down and repointed to either my devhost account or streakdroid.com
But I will not ask anyone specifically or force them to remove it, it is merely a request.

[Q] Search Function peculiarity

Not sure which rule I prefer to break - I tried to post this in the XDA forum as it isn't a phone topic but got told questions there break forum rules . and to post Q's here...
I wanted to look at the 1% Battery mod I have seen mentioned in a number of posts. If I type in '1% battery' in the Search for all threads at the top of page, & click for Titles Only, I get a listing of threads across the boards that have 1% battery in the title. As expected.
If I do exactly the same thing in the forum for S3 Themes and Apps, or even for Samsung S3 parent forum, the software removes the % sign and searches for '1 battery' which is less than useful given how many threads have '1' in the title. This happens even if I enclose it in " " which normally tells Search engines to look for exact text.
Strange... I'd have thought the same search engine would be used for all searches.

Major privacy concern

To make a long story short, I posted some info about an app, along with a Play Store link to that app in a post over at Android Central. Within 24 hours, the developer of that app commented in my thread, and his last post in that forum WAS A YEAR AGO.
Can someone please explain how this happened?
