Hi!
I have the Xperia S.
Acro S came out recently.
Any advantages of Xperia S compared to the Acro S?
Its less water resistant (is that an advantage?)

One thing i have read that Acro S has shorter standby time and talk time.

Sd card support doesn't exist on XS.
Battery life is greater on acro S
Dust protection and waterproof.
Acro s is a better phone. My sister has it. It just uglier than my S.

Hello All
My Neo died and I've been offered a replacement Neo or the value (which is currently $389) in credit from http://www.mobicity.com.au.
Is the only difference the camera? If so is the original Neo better than the Neo V?
8mp vs 5mp?
Cheers

Except Camera, everything is same with Neo V. I dont find a reason to spent on Neo when the Neo V camera do click great images. That's just your choice.
Thanks. I ordered the Neo anyway. They were the same price. Brand new phone. Glad it was not repairable and I'm getting a new one! Looking forward to ICS with Cyanogenmod
was it your fault that your neo died??? and they just gave you a new one?
I don't know. Could have been the few times I dropped it, or the very large amount of stuff I flashed to test...Who knows. I sent it back because the camera would not work and it was randomly rebooting.
if the camera is better in Neo compared to Neo V, why even get Neo V when Neo is the same price? Except i can't find Neo anywhere.
EDIT:
After browsing, I found out the 8 meg Camera sensors were not available due to the massive earthquake hit in Japan earlier this year, that is why the new model came out as the same 8 meg sensors couldn't be manufactured.
Hope their rebuilding goes smooth! Japan
Because of the earthquake, the neoV and Neo haven't got same kernels

But the hardware should be the same, right? It's basically the same phone except for the cameras, that's at least what I've heard and read.
I'm glad I bought the Neo when I did, I've heard that there isn't a whole lot of them left in the stores over here (Sweden), apparently most stores now only have the Neo V.
I also heard that the 8mp Neo camera is supposed to be in the iPhone 4S as well, but I don't know if that's true.
I think Neo is better. I have got Neo for 194 € and i think I made good choose. Thumbs up for Xpria Neo.

€194?? Where do you live? Where did you bought it?
I bought it in the Netherlands at the huge German electronics business MediaMarkt for, mind you, €350. And they were was one of the cheapest resellers atm. FML.
Czech Republic =)

Well the active, mini/mini pro and the ray are sharing one arent they? Weird why not NeoV...

Vodafone in Greece are offering the Neo V at only 199 euros, fully unlocked and sim-free (like all phones sold in Greece by all carriers). I think I'm gonna give it a try despite the fact that I'm convinced that they have screwed up the auto-brightness control and the phone takes initiatives to dim the screen very much...contrary to the wishes of the person who paid for it!
Neo rules xD
What do you think, how much better the camera is in Neo vs Neo V? If i understood right, the difference is not only megapixels, but Neo has this Exmor R sensor.
You know what I like the neo v better my wife has got the neo don't think it's that smooth the the V and the neo weighs more in that hand i like to think that v made cheaply lol

How have you returned your phone? Bootloader relocked and flashed it again with SEUS?
I might need to bring my phone in too, because the statusbar has burned in. Pretty nasty looking.

Just thought the Neo users on here could get behind the Neo on the Voting poll.. even the writers of the blog think the Neo is the best, but the Arc is way ahead in the poll..
Its good to hear people talk so nicely about the Neo anyway, Means I made the right choice! never doubted it for a minute..
Kiwi
I voted for the Arc, it's a lot cheaper now than back in July when I bought my Neo and it looks much better and larger screen. But I certainly don't regret my choice for the Neo.

Neo still got front cam for video chat , I use it

Arc's ok but somehow it feels too big for me... but who knows, maybe I would get used to that screen size.
Sent from my MT15i - Xperia Neo
Well I use skype video chat all the time so ffc was the big selling point for me.. The arc is a bit big too, if I want a big phone I would join the rest of Europe and buy a galaxy S2, however giving up usb otg when I want to use hdmi would suck... That's a Samsung fail.. The arc with no ffc is a definite Sony fail.

xperias are all similar, one has big screen but no front camera, the other has this but fails in that, I vote for neo, It s by far the best allrounder from the xperias.
Short story , I went to buy a Sola and ended up with a P :laugh:
How great is that
Well I see a very big difference since I had X10 Mini :good::good:
This phone is so great , I just love it
LOL, sounds familiar to me;] I went to SONY with a plan of buying P, but finally I've bought S ;D I dont regret my decision for now. Good luck!
I had thought about buying an Xperia P, but as soon as I saw that there was no cardslot... and "only" 16GB internal... did I choose the Sola.
I know that the Xperia P has more RAM, but I can compensate with SWAP in that area.
The Xperia P did not cost much more.
I wanted to buy the P. I like the P more, but pricewise about the prices of the S. So I bought the S.
My brother just got the P though. Really nice phone.

Add to that the fact that the S is superior to the P in every way. Unibody or not. Spec wise there is no comparison between the two. I'm not a mid range sort of person so only the S appealed to me

I'll be upgrading my phone (from Xperia Arc LT15i) to one of the Xperia S or Galaxy SII, as they are the only ones in my budget.
I've seen the specs of both phones, and it appears that the Xperia S clearly has overall better hardware, and since I'm leaning towards the Xperia S, I'd like some personal experiences with it and if possible, compared to the Arc or GSII.
Sucks how I can't get a white version with my network carrier :/

Xperia S is very greater than GSII.
Xperia S is one level higher than GSII

The S is good... But there are more roms for the SGS II.. if you use your phone for gaming the Samsung is better since it has tegra chipset...
But I love my SXS and will definitely have a Sony again after this
But try before you buy...
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
I don't think that you'll be upgrading when you buy Galaxy S2, there are lots of devices "new devices" and I think you should wait a bit.
Performance wise SII beats the XS. Downside being the screen with just 480x800 resolution. But the development and choice of Roms is unreal. I'd go for the SII.

S2 is more powerful than the S..
And it has a lot of great development....
But if u r a Sony fan boy go for the S...

Sony xperia s definately has a upper hand on s2.. I love s's interface as compared to s2. Besides s2 is an outdated phone even if its getting jellybean
Sent from my LT26i using xda premium
Screen resolution and camera and looks may be the main points for choosing XS over the SGSII
I love the screen on this bad boy! The biggest concern I had was the battery and after testing it is better than I could get with any previous phone. About the same as the Note 2.
If you are on the fence, jump off and go get one!
Now I have to sell my Xperia Z and my S4 Active lol.
What can you tell us about the screen?i am quite curious about it.
Also congratz on getting z ultra

The screen is absolutely beautiful. It is not as bright as the S4 Active or the Z but I am sure they did this to keep the battery life better.
I will upload some pics next to the other phones.
First one here is next to the S4 Active.
Another pic with the Z vs Z Ultra

Don't forget to hit the Thank you Button if I helped you in any way
good to know.i always wondered about triluminos display.thank you dude.hope some awesome developers get this device.
So with same brightness and same wifi/etc on, it's same battery life as Note 2? That's pretty good. I was afraid it'd be 2/3 or half of the note 2 battery life.
Yeah battery was my biggest concern but this baby rocks! No worries now.
