Hi all,
my Xperia S keeps restarting randomly during the day.
The issue seems to be related to the latest firmware (6.1.A.2.45), because everything was fine before it.
Anyone having the same issue? Can we fix it?
Thanks!

Ok, I updated to 6.1.A.2.50.
Still having the same issue.
I've also wiped cache (both).
The phone is rooted and I'm using Advanced Kernel 15

Yes, I deleted everything.
I've wiped again and flashed .50
I have restored only some of the my previous stuff (apps, mod...) and it's working fine.
Before I had Advanced Kernel and a mod to show switches in the notification bar.
Probably is one of these two.
Going OT, I found that even after flashing and wiping EVERITHING (data, chache, dalvik) previous WiFi configuration was being kept.
Is it normal?

I mean have you flashed a different kernel then messed with the frequency and governors, changing them away from the 'on demand' setting?

I'm using stock kernel now.
Before I was using the Advanced Stock Kernel. I have no idea if it mess with frequency and governors.
See what happens. I found mine kept rebooting on certain settings

i have same problem - still rebooting, changed second time soft, trying to wipe everything, etc.
it reboots only on idle, it didn't never reboot on my hand.

How do you flash it? I'm using 4ext and everytime I format all partions but SD card and reboot, it just stays on that little blue guy /:

Yea my bad it is cm9 I was typing fast idk how to flash it
Are you on ics? Place Rom on sd card. Boot into 4ext, wipe data, cache, select install zip from sd card, locate the cm9 zip, let it flash , after complete, reboot.
If you are still on gb then you'll need to either unroot and relock bootloader, or perform s-off before you can flash a ics based Rom

flash the kernel in the zip file manually or give it a wipe all partitions except sd card and reboot, let it sit for a minute and it should reboot again, that's 4ext flashing the kernel, just be a bit patient or flash it manually via adb or hasoons tool.

Can you be a bit more understanding? HTC devices aren't the simplest of androids, so being a bit more patient and understanding towards others goes a long way.

Hasoon's tool isn't easy? I must be in the wrong forum if Hasoon's all in one tool isn't easy.
And it was also pretty obvious what the rom was, imo.
For the op, there's a wipe/format option in 4ext, the one that says wipe all partitions except sdcard is a full wipe.

ZACTLY! Don't ask another question unless it isn't easily covered in the bible.. the bible has everything you need short of becoming a developer yourself, but you gotta get the basics down on your own.

I was on the Advanced Stock ICS Build 15 and I tried to flash AOKP Build 4 when my Phone turned off. Fastboot, flash mode and booting isnt working, but the phone gets recognized as a "SEMC Flash Device". Flashtool, SUS and PC Companion arent recognizing the phone. Power + volume up isnt working too, but i´m able to charge the phone (without charging animation).
Can someone help me?
Thanks
yeah plug it in to your computer and hit repair.

SUS, Pc Companion, Flashtool and Fastboot do not recognize the phone, so i cant just hit repair. And the Kernel gets flashed by installing the AOKP zip.

Sounds like what happened to me, just charge the phone for like an hour then see if it turns on. Or try installing the flashmode drivers and just flash back to stock?

I tried rebooting, but even the homescreen is lagging.
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

I had this issue as well on rooted stock 4.1.2 ROM, I installed Android Revolution HD of same Android build (newer firmware), and never had it again. Tried also few other ROMs as well (official MIUI and ParanoidAndroid), also didn't experience this kind of freezing. Must be Firmware related, because I'm pretty sure that I was experiencing probs on XELLA firmware as well.
