There are guides here on xda, or you could check craigslist. I see a lot of stores advertising it.
Thank you kindly Rob....kinda funny you mention the guides, I have been searching on here for the past couple of days from my phone and have not had any luck locating them. If you run across a posting of them can you post the link here please.
Thank you again

[Help] Some rooting questions

Hey guys, I just rooted my 4gLTE last night as well as unlocked the bootloader using this method: http://htcevohacks.com/htc-evo-4g-l...tc-evo-4g-lte-unlock-bootloadertwrp-recovery/
However, I noticed I still have s-on, so I dug around and found this LazyPanda found here :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737123
so will doing that LazyPanda thing mess anything up for me? And what is the main difference if so? I just want to be able to root, maybe some ROM's after they evolve a little and Mobile hotspot. Please, anyone, shed some light on this for me. Thanks so much

Nandroids without rebooting. Onandroid

I am not the developer of this, or am i affiliated with the developer. A thread was made in the shift section letting everyone know about it so i figured id make us one so you guys can see/try it out. Your going to need to go the the original OP for the downloads and to read about it and learn how to use it. But it does backups from terminal rather than recovery. anyways check it out here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1620255
Just thought this is cool
Thanks the op of the linked thread

Htc evo 3d cdma 4.0.3 root?

Hello all, I have been searching of a way to root the htc evo 3d on 4.0.3 cdma but I cant seem to find the right thread. I dont know if there is a video or not but I would really appreciate someone helping me out. I am new to htc as well as sprint and the evo 3d thread is so unorganized that its not even funny. NO Flaming, No Sarcasm, and especially no (no it all) that just goes thread to thread trolling, I just want a straight answer Please.
1) Unlock bootloader using htcdev.com
2) Flash a custom recovery (preferably 4EXT)
3) Flash a rooted stock rom (virus has one posted somewhere)
4) Get s-off using the juopunutbear wiretrick method
That's a basic rundown of what you should do, hopefully that should help get you going

Help flashing to straight talk

I was wondering if anyone knows of a guide for flashing the Evo to straight talk. I can't find anything except people on eBay that will remotely flash it. I would rather do it myself that way I would know how if I needed to do it again. Plus I have 2 Evo lte's. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ask the guy in this thread, he seems to be an expert flashing phones, so fas he has answered most of the questions about this:
