im having this problem on my xperia neo handset since month. i have to swipe 5 times to unlock the mobile and also when answering a call.
im tired of this and plz help me regarding this.

What ROM are you on? Is your bootloader unlocked? Which kernel? Does this occur all the time or in specific cases? Dude give us more info, I hate it when people don't provide any info and expect help...
Its normal for me on all roms. Just small loop
When it occured I push power button twice and then I can answer a call. I hope that it is satisfing answer for ya
Well then it's most probably the digitizer. If your phone is in warranty, go and ask them to change it before it gets worse.

I wanted to ask a thing...
Sometimes when im working on the phone and i get an incoming call...i dont get that slider to answer but just 2 buttons , to reject and to accept a call.
I woould like those buttons to be always there instead of the slider which sometims is buggy when answering...
Any ideas on how to achieve that?

I don't think that there is a workaround for this. If you are working on your phone you won't need to unlock it. Problem is, if only those two buttons came up with your phone in your pocket, you might drop the call or answer to someone you might not want to talk to by mistake
yeah true....but i dont keep my phone "naked" when its in my pocket...
and find it more usable to click a button then to slide ti answer which sometimes...alot of times .. is kinda buggy..
Well, hopefully it might be easier to answer by unlocking after the (promised) update!

Hello, i bought xperia p in t-mobile, i had this problem from beginning, when someone was calling to me i couldnt answer, because screen didnt respond to touch, i could only push power button to end call and after this it worked, but this happened to me many times, which make this phone unusable. I debranded to soft 6.0.b.3.184, and the same problem occurs. I wanted to send this phone on warranty, but i didnt find t-mobile branded firmware(or it isn't needed for warranty?).
I had this brand before debranded:

I have the same annoying problem.
Same here. Actually, it happens quite often that the screen doesn't respond. Most of the time it can only be resolved by rebooting. I always thought that it was because I use a third party keyboard Swiftkey which was causing this.
I also have this problem and work out with the reboot (power + volume) as suggested [email protected]

I have the same problem, but I don't use Swiftkey so that's not the problem. I've already tryed some settings changes, reintstal system. Nothing helps.
Yes I have that problem sometimes...it can be a software bug...had yhe same problem in my arc in ICS...

I'm from India and I face 1 problem so long time. My mobile is working fine and no any issue,problem in my phone but I could not understand 1 problem.
Some month earlier on a regular day I seen 1st time the problem, the day I worked like normal day and my mobile and network work fine and then I go to slip and wake up next morning and then same schedule but no incoming call is come and I also don't call anyone then I finished work and go home and I meet 1 frnd and he told I call you 3-4time but your mobile switch off,why? Then I show him that my mobile is on and then he call same time and its call switch off then I call him and his mobile ringing and then he call me back again then my mobile ringing then I realise that there is any problem in my mobile and then i go to slip and next day morning I wake up and call my no to another phone and then its call switch off and I call back and connect and then my phone is working again. My mobile shown network full coverage. When I call someone in morning and then all day no problem and if I didn't do that then shown switch off to other. What is the problem? Is it hardware,Software or SIM network problem? I call customer care and they told me that this type of problem they didn't listen so I thinking is it mobile problem but after I changed mobile the problem is same, 1st I useg Galaxy R GT-I9103 and now Galaxy S2 GT-I9100. So pls tell me if someone know anything abou the problem. Is it OS problem, My phone hardware problem or network problem? Any one can face same problem? I can't understand...

If you don't read my thread after 2nd sentence then why U giving reply or tell me what I do mistake/wrong? I tell you why? Because U observe my post and think that I do/mistake. Same thing apply here, I mentioned about Galaxy R because right now which problem I faced in SGS2 the same problem I already faced in SGR & thats why I mentioned SGSR, thats mean who read my thread they understand that its possible not problem in handset.
If you don't know any solution in any matter no one really care about U. Please don't give any reply or don't give any suggestion for those matter which will YOU DON"T UNDERSTAND, because negative reply or suggestion always bad for any thread, after your negative reply/comments all other reader will go out that threat cause when senior member give negative reply thats mean here (threat) nothing is importing to read they go out the threat and they actually don't read and don't understand what problem face the user? When I receive a call, this damn slider bar gets stuck and doesn't response.
This problem is there for like 1.5 years since I bought the phone. Using the newest updates but nothing changed.
Any solution for this problem ?

when you have this prob since 1.5 years why didn't you give it to Sony service center and get it repaired it bro
However please elaborate whats the problem actually??
by the way you said that "When I receive a call,slider bar gets stuck and doesn't response" this would be a touch issue!! :fingers-crossed: may be get the didgitizer a.k.a touch replaced
Its always better you give that at the Sony Service Center and cross your fingers that it'd get repaired

I believe that is a software issue. Because I read that lots of people suffering from the some problem however no solution was found :/
hello, i have a problem with my xperia u, i cant text properly with it, some times the letter cant be pressed(im using the 3x4 keyboard not the qwerty, but even qwerty keyboard cant be pressed the letter sometimes). my girlfriend experienced it on her xperia u too 2months ago, but its under waranty that time so the service center did repair it successfully. but now my phone's waranty is already expired, we took it too service center too, but they did not succeed on repairing it, they said the touch screen must be replace. i dont want to think this way but i dont believe it because my girlfriend's phone has been repaired with a very similar problem, now i think that they said that to me so they can get more money if i will agree to them to replace the touch screen. does anyone know how to fix this? its different on other not responsive screen problem, i check the service test on touch screen and there is no broken line, its just hard to press sometimes on texting but there is no problem making a line. factory reset and repairing via PCC and SUS is not solving the problem(both on mine and on my girlfriend's phone when she is experiencing the problem) thank you very much in advance to everyone.
If it's a hardware problem no one here can help you fix it.
Lots of touchscreen problems woth U and Sola, I would think Sony should fix them free of charge.

actually i dont think that it is a hardware problem, because like what i've said, my girlfriend's phone experienced the exact problem that im encountering right now, and they fixed it with i dont know what they did but they didnt replace anything, meaning its only a software defect. if i was remembering it right, they are talking about software calibrate or something like that but im not so sure about it. maybe they dont want to fix it with free charge now thats why the saying that it is a hardware problem for me to pay. i really believe someon could help me here, i would be very thankful and im thanking now in advance.

when i encounter the problem, my firmware is ics 6.1.1.b.1.54. but after taking to the service center it became gb 6.0.b.3.184 but the problem is still there. and also when my girlfriend experience it on her phone, her firmware was ics 6.1.1.b.1.10, i hope the infos would help to analyse the problem. thanks in advance again.
