[Q] Hard reset Titan II with unusable screen? - HTC Titan

I dropped my phone from pretty high up onto pavement Friday and it totally obliterated the glass and digitizer. The phone still boots, and the screen still turns on, complete with computer syncing and audio but it's just a mess of lines. I looked up replacements and services but they're all half of what I paid for it (bought from Craigslist), and I don't think it's worth it. I want to sell it for parts but I want to factory reset it first- seeing as how the touch screen is useless I need another way of resetting it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try to download the Stock ROM up here and then flash it.

[Q] Broke my screen, replaced it, screen does not switch on

I have the following problem.
When I broke my phone's screen and before I found a replacement on ebay I took my phone to a local dealer to try and find a screen locally and fix it. It was a no-guarrantee deal since I bought the phone from the Uk (I'm from Cyprus) and all the risk was on me. Anyway, he eventually couldn't find a replacement here so I got the phone back.
When trying to switch on the phone back home I noticed that before I took it to the dealer the screen did switch on just a bit on the top. After I got it back the screen didn't work at all although I could hear the phone operate. I thought that the damage would be repaired with the new screen sent through ebay but after I replaced the screen today the screen still doesn't switch on at all although I can hear the phone operate.
I am sure that I have plugged in everything correct and now I am afraid that the motherboard could be damaged.
Have you ever come up to something like this? Could the dealer damage something on the phone's motherboard and now the phone operates without the screen switching on? Do you have any suggestions which might help me get my phone's screen back on?
Most likely culprit is either the phone was failing or your repair job .

Or the guy you gave it to swapped out your good board for a dud thinking you won't know any better. Is he trustworthy?

Don't think so, he is a vodafone reseller, recommended by a friend. Also when I connect the phone to the computer through kies I can see the kernel version I got from here plus all my contacts reminders ect.
Any other ideas as to how to try and make it work?

[Q] Help with sunk Razr

To my surprise the other day I got my phone to turn back on after dropping it in the hot tub while it was on, almost. After pulling off the back half and thoroughly drying it out the phone powered back on everything else works except the home back and search keys the ones that light up at the bottom. But they do work sometimes, most of the time actually. When the keys are working, every once in awhile the menu will keep flashing up on screen and when i hold the menu key it stops.
I re flashed the ROM thinking it may have developed a glitch being wet, nothing.
I tried drying it out more, nothing.
I'm not sure how the keys work but if i completely remove the front glass and clean the inside of it would that do anything? When it dried out the water did leave a slight film. It almost seems like there is a bad connection somewhere.
Thoughts?
should of left power off and in rice for 24-48 hours + befor turning it back on but it may help im not to sure havent taken the glass off my phone yet
let me know what happens
Might not want to hear it, but if you have insurance, NOT warranty, you should go ahead and get it replaced. Water logged phones never work the same, and usually don't last much longer when you do get it running again.
Thus device is still new enough that you should be able to get a replacement brand new out of the box from the insurance company.

[Q] Touch inop after repair

Ok, so here's the deal:
My nephew has an HTC Evo 4g LTE and just out of the blue gave him a 'system error', powered down, and would not restart. After talking directly with HTC and a local repair shop, we determined that it had a bad motherboard.
I then purchased a used phone off of Ebay as a donor for the motherboard (the original phone is in pristine condition, and I wanted to keep it that way). The donor phone has a shattered glass, but is fully functional. Please keep in mind that both of these are stock, never rooted or unlocked, and were never opened up before (black sticker was still in place over motherboard cover screw on both units).
Today I did the transplant. I have what I believe to be above average technical and mechanical skills. The process of disassembling and reassembling the phones was done very cautiously and meticulously.
Here's where the problem comes in. Upon rebooting the original phone with the transplant motherboard, the touch no longer works. I removed and replaced the motherboard 3 more times, each time making sure everything was properly plugged in and locked down, but I still have the same results. I did do a factory reset and a recovery through the bootloader menu.
I figured that someone here must know what is going on. The original phone worked perfectly before the 'system error', and again, the donor phone worked perfectly minus the shattered screen. Does anyone have some insight on what might be the problem? I would hate to have to purchase a new phone unless absolutely necessary. Like I said earlier, this is my nephew's phone, and he does not currently have a job, so any fix would require me to pay for it...
I'm not going to try to go into much detail on a subject that I don't know about, but you might want to look into troubleshooting and researching to see if your digitizer has been ruined in your transplant. From what I understand, it is a pretty common occurrence in some users' DIY endeavors.

Data recovery from damaged (dead) phone.

I was given this phone to recover data from for a friend. She doesn't remember her unlock because it's sat forgotten in a drawer for ages now while she's used two or three other phones since. After her dog passed she remembered they have pics and vids of it on this phone and she's desperate to have them back.
The screen is badly damaged and the ribbon is ripped. Replacements are a bit more costly than she is willing to pay, but also the battery is completely dead; maybe needs to be replaced too.
So there's no way that I know of to interact with this device.
Is there a way I can connect this to PC to power it and recover data?
Replacement battery and screen costs for a phone she won't use after data recovery just isn't realistic.

Galaxy j7 sky pro stuck in boot loop, wont go in safe mode, factory reset wont fix.

OK. So I bought this j7 sky pro (straight talk) two days ago. I am sitting here reading something on facebook and it freezes. No big deal, I pull the battery restart and its stuck in a boot loop at the tracfone screen. I got it to boot into safe mode once, and it froze in safe mode before I could do anything. So I wiped the cache, no change, I did a factory reset, no change. Now it wont get past the tracfone screen to even boot in safe mode. From what I gather there is no options to root this phone and install any custom software so, any ideas?
I could return the phone, but I threw all my household garbage into a 5 foot deep hole in the sand a mile behind the house and buried it and filled the ditch it with sand.... I would like to not get the backhoe out and dig up a freaking box so I can return the phone to WalMart. I guess I could buy another one for $150 and use the packaging from the new phone to return the old one but if this thing is such a piece of shat, I'd rather return it and pay the difference and just get a s6 or whatever for $400....
I couldnt find any negative reviews that specifically related to my problem. Anyone have an opinion on whether or not this phone is pure trash or did I just get a lemon?
SMH
oh and when I try to boot into safemode sometimes some glitches or colored lines appear on the screen but mostly either the samesung logo freezes as its drawing and it reboots or it makes it to the tracfone logo and then reboots and is just stuck in a loop.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
I am so incredibly tight over this phone I am considering setting it up on a 5 gallon bucket and seeing how many times I can hit it with a 7mm Remington Mag before its gone.
:| This is so not a 31337 phone...
If I'm in your place I will return directly that phone , from srart you have problem with that device ? That means is not good device , maybe is way to fix that by flasing again stock rom but I think is more better to return that cell phone because maybe is mainbord BAD .
