I'm not sure, but maybe you touched the LCD wire, open it again and take a look, disconnect it and connect it...i have no idea about xperia x10's hardware,it's only a suggestion :good:
Hey, seems that issue is from lcd, if you try to enter in xrec mode, did the phone show you full screen of 1/4 only?

Hi guys, I had no idea where else to post this.
My phone fell off, and althougth the screen was intact, the lcd broke and I had to replace it.
So, after the replacement, now the vibration is softer, and kind of sounds lower as well.
Any ideas on how to fix it myself without taking it back to the people who fixed it (because it was a pain to have my phone back) or any other place.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks, but is not that.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that the settings were untouched.
It's all to the maximum.

I'm guessing in the service menu there is a calibration for it, but no idea at the moment how to get there, will have a look around is I get time

I just checked the service menu and you can only test the different features of the phone. No calibration available.
I tested the vibration and is softer than it used to be.
I guess they messed it up when they replaced the screen.
My S3 fell out of my hand and hit the floor on its corner. When i turned it on again the screen was all green and the touch no longer worked. Now when i turn it on nothing shows up and the screen stays black. I was thinking of repairing it myself, so would i need to just buy a new screen or more?

If you use that you must realise that separating the glass from the digitizer is a very tricky fiddly hit and miss process where you are more likely to break than mend in all honesty
I think that the screen is broken too. Because you said that the screen was black after turning it on. Think u need a new display + digitizer. They sell them on ebay for 200 dollar. It's expensive I know but I don't think there's an other option.

Ok, thanks so much for the help everyone!
and there's no guarantee that the screen is the only thing broken.
PS there's a "thanks" button
Is there a way similar to the method shown in this link, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1916796 to fix a hard bricked sg2?

Hard bricked. The device didn't turn on after restoring ROM/ flashing new ROM from CWM (can't remember because it was a long time ago). The download mode/ recovery mode doesn't work.

Why get a new motherboard instead of JTAG
Because it's unlikely a JTAG would work. If the NAND is stuffed, it needs to be replaced. Samsung don't sell NAND's separately (or new motherboards without an authorised service centre performing the swap), so you replace the whole board; either a service centre putting a new board in, or you get a 2nd hand board from a broken/donor phone & you swap it yourself.

Can I use a i9100g motherboard instead of i9100?
No. Read up on the differences between the i9100 and i9100G. They have different processors for a start.

Hi guys,
I bought an i9100 with cracked screen, it would turn on and welcome sound could be heard but nothing would be displayed, not the boot logo. I replaced my motherboard with it. But now the problem is, LCD seems to be not working. When I turn on the device, welcome sound can be heard and I can unlock the phone but can't see anything. While the phone is still on and I lock&unlock my phone using power button, the screen kinda flashes white. Do you think the problem is with my LCD or motherboard itself?:crying: Screen was perfectly fine before I hard bricked my phone.
Thanks.
LCD is Damaged!!

Nah!!! :silly: this cant be a motherboard problem as you can hear the lock and unlock sound and the screen is flashing... this means that the motherboard is fine and working but looks like the LCD is not working.
oops!! This means the only solution to the problem is to change the LCD Screen as there is no other way to fix this!!
Sorry!!

Oh, I was thinking that maybe the part of the motherboard where we connect the LCD flex cable was damaged because my screen still kinda lights across the screen when I unlock it and my screen was fine before hardbrick/replacing mobo.
Go Ahead

hmm... so this problem can be fixed... so are you going buy a new mobo or your going to go ahead fixing this issue?
well i suggest its better you fix this issue as it wont cost you much and looks like the motherboard is working fine... so there is no problem

Yeah I tried to fix this issue and ordered a new LCD but it also does not show anything on the screen so I guess mobo is the problem?
So it looks like a small part of the top of my screen is dead, already tried everything and no luck, The draw line test shows about a 10% of the screen not working. I think this might be a hardware problem, but not sure.
If its the hardware, is it possible to only replace the Digitizer glass, without replacing the LCD screen?
Where can I buy the part (hopefully Original, I read that third party replacements are usually disappointing, because of quality.)? I tried searching in ebay and amazon and was only able to find for the HTC one X not the plus version.
Is it too hard to replace or i'm better saving for a new phone?
Do you mean the area where the status bar is? My HOX+ also doesn't recognize touches there. It happened suddenly 5 months ago when I was playing games . However, I used to it and it is not a big problem, I will give it to repair when I get on vacation .
I already made some researches on the internet and it is not an uncommon problem for touch screens. Yes, it is the digitizer's fault.

Exactly the same problem, upper part of the screen (all notification bar). I have an OCD and this tiny things bug me a lot. I guess now I need to find a digitizer to replace it, the problem is that on ebay and other sites there are not HOX+ available, all are for the HOX.
Is there any difference between HOX and HOX+ digitizers? I thought both got the same screen.
I'm not an expert so I won't fix it on my own, better send it back to service .
Btw. I've read one time that you can put a piece of paper between the bezel and grill to clean some mess up which could get inside the phone. I was wondered that I was able to slip the paper there, but it didn't work .

yes it will work, but you can't only change the digitizer, it's too hard glued together. I broke my LCD connector while replacing the screen although
I was really careful, so it's not as easy as everyone says.
Thx, i will keep that in mind.
hello, i broke my screen lately and i replaced it at a lab, after the repair my screen is sometimes flickering.
i think it was flickering from before the repair but after the repair it got worst,i am not sure.(if it was it was only at the top of the screen now..its every where)
does anyone have any ideas about the source of the problem ?
or if anyone know how to solve it even better
thank you for your help...
If still problem exist after screen replacement then I think there is problem in new screen, try again another screen if still it exist then may be there is serious problem with GRAPHIC IC ( I am not sure about this), You may have to change 220 in your Graphic IC which include soldering but seriously this is very(x3) risky, because any wrong thing can put your phone in nothing.
In case If you brought your screen from online site, then contact to seller and ask them for refund or another screen
Best of luck

first of all thank you for your reply,
as i said i replaced my screen at a cellphone lab so you think i should go there again and ask them to replace the screen?
as i also said its not happening all the time... it can be flickering for 15 min and then nothing for another hour ( on & off)
no way its just a loose cable/connector some where?

Stock ROM or custom one? Cause my screen flickers sometimes too, but I'm fairly sure it's due to adaptive backlight feature in most of the AOSP roms around
