I am wondering what the most stable touchpad ROM for android is? I was trying out the CM9 nightlies and was on the 10/14 nightly but it was not working real well for me. I also have the latest TWRP recovery. I am not sure what the issue was, but the wifi would frequently cut out and when I would reboot it would skip Moboot.
I changed to AOKP&CM9 Remix 9/24 with WebOS Style Switcher.
Awesome, no lag, no random reboot at all or wifi issues.
I've overclocked to 1.78GHz and changed the scaling governer to performance. Brilliant, so fast, so snappy etc. No noticeable effect on battery life either as it uses deep sleep well.
I am using the 0930 nightlie and I'm not having any issues.I've actually never had any issues with any of the nightlies.I am very satisfied with all of them. They (the devs) do a great job. That is the only reason why I bought the TP.
I have been using RandomROM Falcon 1.x for a few weeks. Very stable, great battery life. To be honest, the recent CM night lies were pretty stable for me but just felt like a change.

I'm using the 14th October nightly ROM and it's stable and good for everyday use.
I've been using nightlies for a while and they are all seem to be pretty standard nowadays.
Been running Fat & Creamy for a few days and it is the fastest smoothest rom my TP has ever had. Highly recommended.

I was on AOKP&CM9 Remix 9/24 with WebOS Style Switcher for a while. It was really stable and fast.
Currently giving a try to RandomROM Falcon 1.3

but i miss the WebOS Switcher so i might have to go back :/
Also the latest FatnCreamy by SGA was really nice and smooth, its just I missed Rom Control that AOKP has.
you can use the webos switcher with any of them. just download it from here and install it http://rootzwiki.com/topic/19142-mod-port-webcm9-04-webos-like-app-switcher-3912-cm9aokp/

I was thinking of switching from checkrom to cyanogenmod, because its an aosp rom. Hows the general stability of cyanogenmod in the galaxy sII? Is the camera app perfect? I wanna know about stability and battery life too.. thanks.

I used to use CM7 but the devs sort of left it to work on CM9, which by the way is going to be awesome.
When is cm9 going to come out?the stable version I mean?

I've been using the Unofficial builds (link) of CM7 for a couple of weeks and had no problems. It has never crashed for me (some users have reported that it sometimes can crash when using the market). The camera app works with no problems, but the stock Android camera app don't have as many features as the Samsung camera app (I don't really care since I use a camera app from the market). The battery life is really good in my opinion. It definitely gets me through a day of normal usage, though it depends on how much you're using your phone.
And all the apps from the market work just fine?
Sent from my GT-P7500 using XDA App
i use cm7 b4 , the performance is awesome and stable
Choose the latest nightlies, they're 7.2 RC's. They're more stable than the stable release which in the end became a 7.1 RC, not to mention more features, etc...
The latest Buildbot official build is #116 on the Cyanogen Mirror Network. Codeworkx posted #117 on his blog here: http://codeworkx.de/wordpress/2011/12/17/cyanogenmod-7-12172011-galaxys2/
There are various unofficial builds, etc... but I haven't used any of them in a long time. There were some useful changes after #117 that the unofficial builds would have. None of them (that I can recall) critical to core functions however.

Yup all apps work fine for me
It has no HW accelleration
MIUI is based off CM yet It runs smoother. With MIUI there is no need for project butter. I understand that MIUI took CMs hard work and made it closed source, and this makes me want to support CM. But I've always noticed MIUI runs way nicer. Everything works faster too. I spent today comparing MIUI to CM9 and it everything works far better, like downloading from market is faster, getting location for BeWeather and stuff like that.
Live wallpapers are smoother too. There's slight lag and stalls on CM which I just don't see on MIUI.
I just want someone to explain to me why this is, if they can. Is it the way MIUI is built? Is it faster because it has no app draw?
and I think CM9 has a problem with autobrightness whereas MIUI controls brightness very well
First of all MIUI is no more based on CM source. Now they use stock roms

Keep in mind that you have an older device, and that you tried it with a ROM that is not ready for daily use

try JB from winsuk
BLAZING FAST
I agree, while there are issues with storage space, it is very smooth compared to cm7 and cm9.

Delete as many extras as you can part wit before you flash the ROM. I get rid of all the ringtones and LiveWallpapers since I just use my own from the SD card.

you can use winsuk , S2E in the CM 10 thread
I use winsuk's CM10, but can't say that cm10 faster than cm9, but cm10 is really comfortable than cm9
i'm using winsuk CM10 alpha 4. it's definitely nice, and feels a bit smoother/more stable than munjeni CM9 so far. thumbs up!
Just wait until the layering issues are fixed on MDP composition it gets much better (CM9 uses MDP composition I believe)
Yes, jellybean is a tiny bit faster. But it consumes more battery. That's what I noticed

All is ok now, only 2 reboots needed and it's because I've some apps linked. This build is smooth and stable (only 1 FC..Google Play, dunno why..but only once), and the only wrong I can say it's internal storage..Link2SD (and system) say only 4-5 mb free..Do u have not much free internal storage too? Or only me?
CyanogenMod 10.1(Nightlies) so far no issue
I decided try CyanogenMod 10.1(Nightlies) from today apart from little freeze at times all is good.
Only odd think i noticed my battery charge is 29% but under stock gingerbread 2.3.4 it looked had more charge but will see long battery lasts under normal usage.
Battery drain with wifi on is really bad
Last release is super smooth! I feel Erickas CM 10.1 the most stable and fastest cyanogenmod 10.1 here.
The battery backup is almost as good as gingerbread. I've did many calls, sms, used wifi, music and I still have alot of battery juice left. Awesome release.)
Hats off.
I know this thread is about CM 10.1 by erikcas, but since AOKP is released by him too, i think i can ask this here
Just verifying if anyone have this bug too (in AOPK 09/03/2013): Flashlight toogle doesn't work for me, i turn it on and nothing happens. Is this a known bug?

From a CM7 user:
Last nightly (10/3/2013) is a daily rom, only minor tiny lags, the speed is comparable to a gb stock rom. i recommend replace the keyboard by 2.3 keyboard(gingerbread one) from market and not tick "join aplications/widgets tab" in any launcher otherwise it will lag like hell.
I've tried version 090313 and it works very well, batteries last up to 12 hours more,
but now comes the version 100313,
I dont know what the difference with the previous version,
if anyone had tried it?
wifi issue

You right this release is nearly perfect once battery drain issue with wifi is addressed this will be even better.
Youtube/camera works great the only thing would like to see added is an fm radio app like in gingerbread.

Updated some memory handlers in kernel (CM/AOKP)

I think that we should go on using the other Cm 10.1 thread as there are already many solutions to common problems.
Guys im looking forward to trying this rom. Just wondering which's the best internal memory script since i come from cm7 and amarullz's got too slow on mine, and i cant test PSN's mem modded kernel cause my SD is class 4 only, i read somewhere int2ext4+ works flawless on cm10.1 but i dont know how my sd card will respond. If theres no workaround i guess ill have to change it to get my ace to keep being smooth.
What do you think?
Hey all.
I have been using this rom [ROM][JB4.3]Ganbarou GT-P7500/7501/7510/7511 Android 4.3 based on CM10.2 for some while.
It is fast and nice!
And battery life is great!
Buit after some time it gets slow and i have to restart the tablet.
And Netflix dont work.
What stable and nice rom can you recommend?
I just want a rom where all works.
What about? CyanogenMod (http://www.cyanogenmod.org/ )
Thanks
Regards Daniel

I tried Toldos Jellybean rom for a while. It is great except for batterylife. Now using cm 10.1. Has a good batterylife and its works well.
I have only been using Ganbarou for quite some time and it is great. Especially the battery life. I do agree that it does get laggy after some time, but it does not bother me too much. It will be the deciding point for me to change, though.
Luckilly BeeGee has taken over Nameless rom from Kasper. I understand there to be some screen glitches on it, but I might take it for a drive over the weekend. If it gives me what Ganbarou gives me, without the lagg, and the glitches is not too annoying, I might stay with it.

Hi all
I haven't changed my rom in more than a year and I'm completely lost. I used CM 10.1 but it has graphic glitches and it sometimes freezes. I'm also looking for something as stable as possible, with multi user support. I use the tablet mostly for video and web browsing. Don't really care about having the latest version of Android, as long as it's equal or higher than 4.2 for the multi user feature.
Can you please give me some advice?
