[QUESTION][RR 3.1.1] Removing Google Play Music - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi chaps,
I'd like to know what would happen if I were to delete Google Play Music, given that it is a system app (marked in red on Titanium Backup) The reason I'd want to remove it is that I have installed the defult RR music player and I don't want two players on my phone.
Thanks in advance.

Make a back up of the app, then back up in CWM then try it! I doubt anything bad will happen

I use an App called Nobloat Free to remove unwanted system apps.

[Q] Samsung music force close causing Google play music to not work?

I removed some Samsung bloat but I'm not sure what may have caused this problem. Any ideas on what apps are tied to Google music?
I initially removed Samsung Music, thinking it wouldn't be tied to google music at all, but apparently it is...I restored it, but it's force closing and subsequently, so is google music.
Also I accidentally deleted Samsung push service com.sec.spp.push. Hopefully that's not important.
Am I looking at a soft wipe or something to get music working again?

I never got an answer on this, so I'm downloading the No Wipe restore. From there I hope I'll be ok. Any last minute warnings?
Do you have a nandroid backup? Just reboot in to recovery and install the nandroid backup and you will get back all the apps that you deleted.
A wipe would be in order. Never delete system software. You will not get OTA updates. Use Titanium Backup to freeze such bloatware and you will be safe.

you can remove this, if you want
Chrome (this is browser, use opera for better performance)
Google Play Movies & TV (video player, there's so much option and better),
Google search(safe to remove., but you'll never better than this, so i recommend, keep it)
Google+(save to remove, if you need it, keep it, if not, it's safe removed
LG Tag+ (some kind like tag editor, should be safe)
Olleh app. (keep it, never heard it)
Olleh cs ( keep it, never heard it)
Olleh Market (like playstore i think, if you doesn't have playstore on your device, don't remove it)
Olleh Navi (it's like Google map, n safe to removed)
Olleh Touch Navi (it's like Google map, n safe to removed)
Talk (same like Google+)
Weather( same like Google+)
Youtube (same like Google+)

Freeze for now
I highly recommend freezing the apps you wish to remove in Titanium Backup Pro first and then use the device for a few days to ensure there are no unwanted side effects. Some of the devices functions may rely on an app you choose to remove, even if it isn't obvious. The advantage to a freeze is simply that it will not start on boot up, nor will any of it's processes run in the background, and it is removed from the app drawer as well as any shortcuts will not show up. After that, you can choose to wipe the data and uninstall should you have no issues with an apps removal. You can also save a backup in TB Pro just in case.
Chrome, Google+, and Hangouts are safe to remove. Did this on my GS4.
Thanks all for the reply.
Actually i rooted my phone some months ago and than i deleted(not uninstalled) the Google chrome. I restarted my phone but unfortunately it stucked on the LG Logo while booting. Then I go to repair shop and he cost me 35 Dollars for repairing it.
Now I want to root it again and therefore I need serious replies from the experienced people. I don't wan to make my phone damaged again.

[Q] [Help] Google Now won't launch music app

When I try to use Google Now voice to listen to music i.e. "Ok, Google, play ..." it tries to launch the music player but it just flashes on the screen then it goes back to Google Now or if I open Google Now from the music app it goes back to that but doesn't play the song.
If I tell it to play a song I don't have or mess up a title it opens the app's search with no results.
Anybody else have this issue?
Any fix?
Any troubleshooting/debugging tips?
I also tried Play Music but it gives me the instant mix error and I deleted the system app and reinstalled it as a user app so I can't remove the updates.
I have tried searching for this issue but it is hard to word specifically enough

I would first try going to application manager and pressing the button that is to the left of the home button and click reset app preferences.
Do you mean clearing the data for the music app? I did that and it didn't help.

That is not what it does. It removes what programs you open your galaxy with. Like it's supposed to popup saying what you want to open the file in.
But if you are having trouble, I would either no-wipe your phone with odin or full-wipe it with odin.
Note that this resets everything so make sure that you backup to your sd card before you do this.

Automatically installed google apps after deleting them

Hi all,
A couple of days ago I rooted my M4. Thereafter I installed Titanium Backup to remove some apps I do not use, like Google Drive, Google Plus, Google Play Books etc.
After removing them, they are being installed without any question. Is it the app What's New that causes this? If so, is it save to remove this app?
Thanks in advance,
Sander
Google Store register them upgradeable before you remove them. You must first disable the auto-update. Then remove and reboot.
It's safe to remove What's New.

Is there a possibilty or app to do this?

There is an app called titanium backup but it requires root. It backups every part of the app you select, in fact, some people use it for piracy.
