Hi,
From the title does this rom run also on the American version of HTC HD2?
Thanx
yes, the only difference between the hd2 versions is the size of teh rom memory, , if it will fit on a regular hd2, it will easily fit on a tmous.

Hi...
Anyone knows what is the deal with TomTom on the Qtek 8500? I have gotten one of those cracked versions available practically everywhere, to see what it looks like, but hey I get the screen wich is smaller then the physical screen plus that everything is blurred...
Anyone any experience ? The version I have downloaded was for the Windows Mobile smartphones, at least that is what it said, Which is by the way identical to the one wich is made for Symbian...
You need at least v5.2 for it to work with the QVGA display. You can download the v5.21 upgrade from tomtom.com. But of course this will overwrite any "patched" version you have...
Thanx mate, going to try that, although the version I am installing it says is 5.20...
Has anyone got a cracked version of TT 5 Mobile for me v5.20 for WM5 based smartphones
Thanx
I have a HTC TyTN II running what seems to be a Diamond Series ROM by Laurentius26 - It is a L26 Diamond Series with the following ID numbers:
R 1.58.25.18
G 25.69.30.05H
D 3.55.00.00
I also have a HTC TyTN that I would like to flash with a ROM as similar as possible.
The main features I am after is having HTC Home plugin, with the latest Windows Mobile Office. I'd like Total Commander too, if possible, most of the rest of the stuff I am after is cosmetic - the diamond skins and themes from the L26 ROM mentioned above - and I'd rather have all these things as part of the ROM so I don't have to reinstall them if I ever purge the device...
I have spent almost a day all up trying to find a matching ROM, but have had no luck and I was wondering if someone with more experience could help me locate one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
hello everybody,,
i want to buy htc hd2 but confuse about this:
htc hd2 vs t--mobile htc hd2.
which one should I buy? t-mobile must be better because 1 gb rom, but what concern me is the tip n trick for international hd2 more compatible.
the important for me is later there won't be any trouble using it or flash rom or etc..
thanks all...
Welcome to forums
Only difference is the 1Gb, other than that I think original Europe model is always nicer.
Good luck,
it depends, if your wanting to use it on tmobile, get the tmobile one, it has 1gb rom and two colored buttons
thanks for th reply,,
I just hope I am not choose wrong hd2.
if choose t-mobile maybe later the 1gb rom can be used to boot android, or any other use.
I just bought my HD2 , and it says on box T-Mobile (white box) , do I have 1GB ROM or not? Cuz its EU version , with white hardware keyz (white light in background I mean) ?
Are your two phone shaped hardware buttons colored? Green on the left and Red on the right.
I think your ROM size can be found under Settings > Hardware, where it says Flash Size. Anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about that.
Nop , not coloured.
Hi,
I am considering of buying a HD2, and I know the differences between T-mobile version HD2 and HTC version HD2.
I just woundering, what if the ROM of WP7 is larger then 512MB? Does that mean the HTC version HD2 cannot be upgraded to WP7 but the T-mobile version can (hypothetically, both of them can meet other require of WP7)? Or, the size of WP7 Rom is smaller than 512MB for sure, so either of them can be upgraded?

The HD2 is almost a year old. Do you really want to buy a year old phone now?
Why dont you wait untill true WP7 phones hit the market? Or buy a newer android phone....
Neither phone meets the official requirements of WP7. There will be NO official update. Most probably someone here at XDA will get a non official version working, but allot like the android development it will take months (At best) to perfect.
Just hang on a bit, and buy a native WP7 phone.
Got it.
Thank you for your advice!

its very unlikely to be anywhere near that size. The leaked WP7 rom for the mondrian is around the same size as a normal winmo 6.5 rom, (without all the branding) , 150 meg or so.
Wp7 hd2 illegal

I know it voids your warranty, but is it actually illegal to put it on a phone you own?

HD2 was one year old but it's hardware is very advance in todays mobile world (576MB RAM & 1GB ROM in T-MOBILE HD2 or 448MB RAM & 512MB ROM in International Version) till todays no any phone compared with HD2... also one more thing, this phone capable for porting many operating system like android, wp7, ubuntu, etc... so it is great phone till today.
Im looking to buy an HD2, however im not sure if i should purchase the T-Mob version or the Intl. version. I'm well aware of the hardware differences but im not which version has the most mod support (for example Cotulla's magldr will prolly first be released for the intl hd2). So yeah, which version would you buy considering both hardware and modding capabilities?
where are you from ?
3G isnt an issue, i don't use it. But to answer your question, Mexico; soon moving to the US
All versions can be modded pretty equally... they're the same hardware except for rom size. Magldr should work on all versions. I'd get the T-Mobile us version for the bigger rom size, and you can probably get it the cheapest. The only thing you have to be careful about is not flashing the wrong radio to it, as some of the older radios will brick it.
