Bet no one can fix this!! - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a motorola atrix. I was have been rooted and running different roms forever now. I recently jumped roms and this problem began. It started with apps that I downloaded disappearing after a reboot. After that I tried deleting stuff from the internal sd card and it would say it was deleted then come back after reboot. I tried formatting on windows and the same thing happens. Now I am unable to flash any new roms because it says they flash fine and then it boots the original rom. I tried using moto fastboot to erase every partition and reinstall original stock and same thing still boots up the other rom. I even tried using rsdlite if you are familiar and the same rom keeps booting up. I am stumped and i've searched everywhere.

Did you try unrooting it then rerooting it? or reflashing the system files from adb?
Don't know much about the Atrix, but fixed the bootloader on my Xoom that way from fastboot..

Boot looping G-Tablet

I tried installing CM7 before, and screwed up the recovery but managed to fix it using NVflash. I then updated to 1.1 3588 or whatever, then flashed CM7, worked fine.
Saw Vegan ROM so I wanted to try it, and flashed it. I then wanted to check out the new market but the Market kept Force closing. So I tried using CWM to restore the previous Vegan rom but I got a boot loop.
So I nvflashed and tried over from the very beginning but now I can't even get the stock firmware to load. And now I can't even connect in APX mode.
NV Flash says USB device not found.
What do I do...

So, you can get ot APX mode on the Gtablet, right? You might need to reinstall the drivers on your PC. This happened to me before. Try reinstalling the drivers and see if it detects it.
Okay I'll try that, thank you!
I don't think I'm going to attempt getting the newer market if I manage to fix this lmao
Update: I got stock firmware loaded and it turns on now thank god. But when I go to update the tablet to bootloader 1.1 3588, it downloads then reboots, but when it reboots it just shows an android guy with an exclamation mark in a triangle.
Anyone know what this means?
Edit:: Apparently you need an SDcard inserted. Maybe that was my issue this entire time :S
I'm stuck in a boot loop at the Vegan-Tab GingerEdition screen. I think I'll just leave it for a while? It's been playing the same animation for the past couple minutes.
Or is there something wrong with my installation?
Okay last update, finally fixed the tablet.
For anyone else having the same issues here's what I did to fix it.
I put in an SDCARD so that I could fix my nvflash of stock boot loop error. Finally loaded that ROM, rebooted and got bootloader 1.1 and moved vegan zip to my sdcard. I rebooted, installed vegan ROM, then as I was restarting my tablet I removed my sdcard and it works perfectly.
Of course I tried a bunch of random stuff in between, but I think that's what did it for me.
Thanks for your help TJ
Okay so I wanted to try Brilliant Corners 1.3 ROM so I decided to flash back to stock TNT, update to 1.1 3588 then flash 1.2.
But when I flashed stock TNT it now gets stuck in a bootloop and I have no access to boot into recovery. Just shows a triangle with an exclamation mark. I tried with and without a memory card inserted. Anyone got any clues what I should try flashing now?
Edit: reflashing CWM finally worked. Repartitioned the SDcard now trying to reflash stock TNT
It's curious to me why sometimes I have to flash 3 or 4 times before it will work?

Here is a new one for me - Random Reset's

So here is one for ya.
I can't access my SD Card at all with this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=25816870#post25816870 rom installed. I click to mount SD card and nothing happens. In recovery I can access the SD card backups etc
I find it strange. Although I do have to ask, I have been having this weird problem. I have Clean Rom 4.3 Installed (ICS) and I have been getting some random reset's and slow this or that. So I saw 4.5 was out - It literally reset everyime your open something and I mean anything Bam reset. However I installed the above rooted bleh bleh stock os (I do not have s-off so I used the PH img) I made sure I had no other boot images on there. Installed setup got everything ready. I have gotten 3 resets in 11 mins so far so now I backed up to Clean rom 4.3 and I have no idea what to do.
I also did the following:
Flashed back to STOCK o.s.
Then Downloaded the above linked rom, cleared data (everything) installed software patch and rom reset back up and same problem. I have been flasing rom's on this phone for a while now and this is the first time no matter what that I get these crashes and resets. Did I miss something?
You really should s-off that puppy. It is pretty easy, and will get you out of messes.

I assume you're always wiping data and cache.
Have to tried Fix Permissions? I don't know if this rom has it in it's settings, but using others I've corrected some weirdness by wiping the cache and then running fix permissions.
Were you seeing the same thing with the stock rom? Or just using clean rom? Might try a different rom for a bit to see if the issues follow you there.
S-OFF isn't going to help you with this. It's perfectly fine to flash your boot image outside of Aman-Ra. I do it all the time.
Are you wiping everything between flashes?
I recommend using this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562176&highlight=clean
Flash it first and it wipes the needed partitions clean.
If you're still on the GB firmware, you need to flash the old firmware patch after the rom install also to get SD card access.
If none of the above helps and you're still on the GB firmware, set the phone back to stock using the GB RUU, otherwise you will have to s-off it so you can do the same.
Yep full wipes between flashes. I didn't keep the stock Rom for more than about 20 mins.
I didn't see a way with the debloated stock New leak to fix permissions. But with the 4.5 clean Rom I did that and it made no difference.

Thunderbolt will not boot to Rom or recovery.

Well I was running the leaked sense ics build and it was causing my phone to overheat so I decided I would switch back to cm7 for a while, when I when I tried to reboot to recovery it just booted showed a black screen then rebooted back to the rom. So I tried to reinstall the recovery from both rom manger and the bootloader nothing worked. I then noticed that it was hard to get my sd card out and that it was slow to load upon boot, odd but it was still readable by the system and I could get to my files on it. I treid a few other sd cards with the same results. It was then I decided it would be a smart idea to try and flash a ruu to try to just return to stock (but leave the bootloader unlocked). I ended up flashing PG05IMG_no_hboot_2.11.605.19.zip from [HOW TO]return to stock (gingerbread) from revolutionary or normal hboot(11/2/11) - xda-developers Which then lead to my phone not booting to rom or recovery all I can get to is the (still unlocked at least) bootloader.
Any ideas on where to proceed? I attempted to run a ruu exe so I can restore it from a computer in case the problem with sd is why it is failing to flash properly but the one I tried 2.11.605.0_Radio_0.01.78.0802w_3_NV_8K_1.41_9K_1.6 4_release_210841.exe required the phone to be booted to the rom to confirm the current build before flashing a new one. Anyone know of a way around that maybe? Or anything?

It may not work but I've had some luck with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703455 in rooting and unrooting, it may be able to see it and do its thing. I know you said you tried different cards but it might be worth looking into reformatting your card in Windows (FAT32) and trying it with a good radio by itself to get it to boot. Then pull or rename the radio zip off the card and then reinstall the ROM or RUU.

[Q] bricked my phone trying to install olympus cyanogenmod 9, help?

hey guys, first post here: i just bought the atrix 4g, got it in the mail today, used the 1-click rooter to unlock the bootloader, then to root. then i installed cyanogenmod 9- i followed instructions appropriately, but the phone hangs at the motorola logo screen at boot-up and does nothing more. i tried re-flashing, fixing permissions, clearing dalvik cache, nothing works.
edit- i installed cyanogenmod9 through clockworkmod, by installing zip from internal
i was going to re-flash stock rom, but i cant get internal storage to mount from clockworkmod (no sd card), so i cant get the stock file over to the phone to flash, so im bricked.
any thoughts/advices? thanks in advance, after not having a phone for near a week, id kinda like to make a call

Did you try using fastboot to erase system, data, cache, and osh partitions?

You bricked your phone, not cyanogenmod ...
Restore a backup, your phone should work.
hm, can anyone tell me, why i cant get internal storage to mount from clockworkmod? is this a common problem?
i dont understand what went wrong for me, when i followed the same steps that many others did.

Your phone is not a paperweight, just not boot the operating system
You did a backup with CWM? restore a backup as Emerson says
You can borrow a sd card copy there CM7 and install from the sdcard
You can also use RDS to install a stock rom
Never install a rom without having an one that you know works 100%
AND ALWAYS READ ALL FAULTS AND SOLUTIONS BEFORE INSTALLING A CUSTOM ROM
ok guys, i went and bought an sd card, clockworkmod mouted it fine, i found and copied over to the sd card android 2.34 for atrix, it flashed fine and my phone is back up.
can you gentleman tell me, whats a good solid rom to flash? cyanogen mod 9 obviously didnt work for me. id like to get started setting up the phone, so i need a good rom to begin with.
thanks to everyone in advance
Go with montouri's version of cm7.2 ,mrom-Olympus you can find it in the developer section. Its my daily driver. Its the most stable and has the best battery life out of all the roms that I've tried
motoxrcr1 thanks for the recommendation, running m-rom now and it runs smooth.
the first time i tried to install it, it hung at the boot logo, then i got to thinking maybe i better try updating clockworkmod, turned out that clockworkmod 4.0X that was installed by the 1-click rooter, is rather old, so i found and updated to 5.XX. tried re-flashing m-rom again, and it worked fine that time.
older clockworkmod, that's probably what caused my original problem with cyanogenmod 9..
does mrom support overclocking? not that i guess i need it, but just to know for future reference
thanks!
the trouble i caused myself, was all due to flashing the rom from an older version of clockworkmod.. after updating to a newer version 5.xx, it flashed fine

Android DNA booting into recovery

Ok, I had carbon rom on my DNA (Verizon). It was getting buggy on me so I decided to return to ViperDNA. However TWRP continuosly failed to flash the file. No matter what I tried. Eventually I formatted my phone thinking that would help me install it. Well no luck. Now however I still cannot flash any of the roms I have tried and my phone boots straight into recovery. Any ideas on how to fix my phone?
EDIT:
Well, I cannot seem to figure out how to delete this post. However I ended up downloading CM 10.2 through my pc and put it on a usb. Then flashed it from the usb and it worked. I must have had corrupted files
