strange wifi problem with my xperia p . wifi does not download data after a few seconds when connected. you have to restart phone wifi to reconnect but again it works for few seconds only. i have flashed cm9 , stock sony firmware, pc companion update but problem exists everywhere.
but after that i installed previous GB firmware v.6.0.B.184 and now wifi works fine . please someone help me to solve this issue and if someone else has it then reply .. please help.

On stock rom I'm having such issue, I fixed it by changing the Wi-Fi channel from the router.
On CM9 I didn't have such issue even with the old wi-fi channel.
Such problem is most common in ICS roms (that's what I've seen in many forums)
Also next time please post in the right section
I have the same problem also it's a software bug in ics I think in the router e have to disable the b thing but I can't since I live in dorm but works fine at Starbucks have got my Xperia p replaced like twice for the sane issue but the problem still exists!!

please suggest some settings for xperia p ... i tried to change channel but channel 6 and 8 did same. please help
i figured out the solution for the problem. i disabled the n mode of the router, configured it to work on only g mode and now it works fine.

I've made a ftf file via downloaded blob_fs contents + LT15 loader.
It's official 4.0.2.A.0.42 ROM (Android 2.3.4).
It's working, no errors reported.

i'm not sure if it is ok with the lt15i loader, it should be the mt15i loader
Can't found mt15i loader. Users says it's compatible for mt15i. Probably it's compatible to Neo.
If any user tried it, please post a reply here

I've signal problems in home, because so many radio devices located in room.
Today I've tried 13th channel solution for better signal quality. When I select 13th or 12th channel, my neo not show my network in list Sorry..
can i use stock rom after i root my phone? can anyone help me. . .please. . .

Did you flash a rom meant for the NA region? There channels 12 and 13 aren't allowed, so this wouldn't be an issue but working by design.
My german Neo with the stock 4.0.2.A.0.42 rom has no problems connecting to channels 12 and 13.

That should be nothing about NEO I think
Can you try to use WIFI Analyzer? that's a great tool about troubleshoot that kind of problem, it should be able to tell you if your router set to a jammed channel or not.

After your suggestion, I've researched little more.
First of all, I'm using freexperia cyanogenmod now. It's have regulatory domain option in advances wi-fi settings. On the generic rom has'nt this option.
Anyway. In here; we are able to select total channel number. Options are 1-11, 1-13 and 1-14. I've selected 1-13 and see my wi-fi router in list

EDIT: Tested Cobrato's rom CM7.1.0 - FXP044 for locked bootloaders on my old X10 and CAN associate with my router on 12 and 13 channels. Soon will install the rom on Neo...

hey there ,before upgrading to ICS Wifi connection was fine but after upgrade wireless keeps connect then disconnect even if the signal is good ,i tried another rom based on ICS but the same there ,so i'm asking if i need to flash another kernel or there is another solution ,and if i need kernel which kernel should i use to ensure adjusting wireless connection

..or dont use connectify and similar programs if you use it! just connect direct from router!
I had this this issue with both ICS and JB, no luck with them and my router (Intelbras, a Brazilian brand), it only works like a charm with GB-based firmwares. If you have the possibility, test with other routers and post the result. With some other routers, the problems just don't happen for me.
My device is a sk17i mini pro.
No don't. Its the problem with custom ics. Just head over to the wifi section in mobile. Modify the wifi network and set the ip address as static. Do that and it will work fine

sorry then,
mine had the same problem. it would say connecting, authenticating and then disconnect and loop
did some googling and found that we had to make it static. worked for me.

I had the same problem on my xperia ray, but i just flashed another kernel and solved my problem.
So you can try that, flash stock kernel and see how`s that working

i think it'll be the only solution ,but because my boot loader is locked i was trying the other solutions,thanks i'll give it a try

You have reflashed stock one (generic firmware from sony) and the problem still persist ?? Seem strange because wlan problem usually found on custom rom / kernel ,
Can your xperia neo connect to wifi hotspot too ?? If not i think it is hardware problem

Hi All,
I am new in this custom ROM field,I just installed Turbo Kernal with Cynogen Mod 10 in my Xperia neo L.
After reviewing the Device i found that my "WIFI Hotspot" is not working.
I Also tried "Lupus kernal" and pacmac ROM.
As it was working with stock Rom so it proves that my hardware is ok.
When i try to start my hotspot it stuck at " Wifi turning on..."
Please help.

For LUPUS kernel try to flash the wifi modules that provided in the thread to fix the wifi problem
And please read the full instruction before flash

After a reboot gsm connection return and I experience this problem regularly. I already tried other cyanogenmod versions (10 and newer ones) but all have the same problem. If anyone has an idea? It could be related with baseband or ?

hello first of all thanks to iiandskater for this lovely rom.i really love this rom,hence i was using cm10 for my sk17i ,after i see this rom i tried to install it on my sk17i,i followed the steps just like ur post,first i wiped all and afterwards i flashed jv 5.3 and then dev files for mango also then gapps and keyboard but afterwards i got one bug that my hardware keys are not working:crying:.so i saw from ur thread 1) first flash jv 5,3 then 2) addons 3)key board language packs 4)flashed dev for files for mango u provided and it worked for me :good: but all of the times i was not getting wifi even i downloaded the kernel that u provieded.i really appreciate your hardwork for making this rom ,hope i will get a solution and sorry for anything i mentioned here badly because its my first post:crying:

wifi means is it wifi hotspot or just wifi
anyways many custom rom has problems with wifi so it may not work properly please contact the dev of this rom
try any 3rd party apps for using wifi that may work

i saw it in the dev forum also but with other device and in that one they said to flash the proper kernel for getting wifi.
and iam using the exact kernel mentioned by dev itself
hope there will be other solutions out there

finally WIFI is working fine in my sk17i with jellyvanilla 5.3
i installed fxps cm10.2
and i thought of trying jv again
so i first flashed kernel provided in the zip
and then
done full wipe
system,cache,and system format

then installed jv from recovery
but first i was not able to boot in to recovery but afterwards i installed xparts from the market and then clicked boot in to recovery from that
but again i wasnt able to boot in to recovery then i saw post from devs forum it happens due to minor bug in fxps kernel so after clicking boot in to recovery just need to press menu button once and it worked perfect for me

and i flashed light gapps and xperia keyboard and booted again
and my wifi was working perfectly in my sk17i
but only one issue is my hardware keyboard is not working
so i flashed the dev files for mango too
and now my hardware keyboard also working and thanks iiandskater for this perfect rom for my sk17i
