No problem for me as well. Try to see if there are any effects if the text prediction is activated/deactivated. Other than that it should be working fine, uninstall and reinstall again? I like this latest version better than the last, everything is so much simpler and clean with no apparent lag at all.:laugh:

Hey everyone. Whatsapp keeps force closing on me when I try to share an image from the gallery application. From within whatsapp it's fine. But only while sharing from the gallery application.
I wrote Whatsapp over a week ago and as usual they don't answer. So I'm not sure. I doubt it's the phone because I've tried 3 different ROMs and I've had the same issue with all of the roms. So I don't know what to do. It's not that big of a deal, but it is kind of a bother. Sometimes I just get a black screen and I have to back out completely and just go into whatsapp itself to do it.
Any ideas?

Solved: Whatsapp wrote me back today and the woman pointed me to the updated version they had on their website which totally fixed my issues! Thanks whatsapp hehe.
It works for me just fine...dont know why you have the issue..
infact i never had this issue in the various stock ROM's i have used in the past
I am on whatsapp version 2.7.431
If you are rooted try fix permissions , ROM manager has it... CWM recovery has it..might be few other ways too...
also check the settings in whatsapp, if the system status is showing working OK...
check if it works when you are on wifi...

I'm not rooted, that's the thing. All the roms have been stock (either an updated or not updated OS). Everything else on my phone works except this! It's strange. If I am not rooted can I still check permissions or anything else that you said? I'm also not interested in rooting. Thanks for the help

actually dialer FC with showing COntracts stopped working, but actually the contacts is workign fine. the real problem is with dialer only. looks like it has problem in reading the call log and also with T9 contacts.
urgently need a solution for this otherwise we canot continue using this rom.

I am having the exact same problem and would like a fix without reindralling rom. I have tried clearing dsta for all relating to dialer, phone and contacts, but no help. As soon as i hit phone, dialer crashes and after 10 seconds it says that contacts has stopped working.
Also when first installed the android keyboard crashed all the time and had to switch to smart keyboard.

The first time I juz try to ti- backup and flash the rom again. But juz now I face the same problem again, don't wanna flash the rom everything to fix it. Any solution to it?? Thx. I've tried to wipe all cache and even clear data of the application contacts, however is useless...
Hope there will be some fix for it as I really prefer 1.1 instead of 1.2 onwards...

Have you tried upgrading to v1.4? when i installed, triple wipe i did the main rom, then gapps, rebooted recovery, installed siyahkernel and it all works for me

It's known problem with RR 1.1 & T9 dialer - if you used the search tool you would know (I had the same exact problem)... Anyway, the problem occurs when you reject a call, once it's F-ed there's no going back (tried reinstalling the apk, TB-it - NOTHING). If you dont want to reflash you can use exDialer from the market, that's what I did then OR upgrade to 1.4, you wont regret - hope this helped (Excuse my bad english)

Thanks for answering! Perhaps i will reflash the rom and won't reject calls again haha!
I've tried 1.3 before but there are several things that i don't like, such as the toggles style of notification bar, the fm radio is removed, camera can't save pics in sd card, can't chg the font style, etc. Thaz why i prefer to stay at 1.1 ...

Glad I helped . Anyway you can use the other "afterbootxxxxxxx.zip" file without T9, that way you can be rude and rejecting calls without FC's afterwards but you'll lose T9 func.
Oh juz saw someone posted in gs2root.com, say when having the contacts fc, can solved by clearing data of "contacts storage", only drawback is lost all the call logs ... but I m not sure is it refering same issue ... wanna know does it work?? (I haven't tried it yet)
Ok, so, I was having the same problem. I tried opening the dialer app information (holding the app icon) and then i cleared the data, it's working perfectly, no drawbacks that I could notice

It doesn't work, perhaps your case is not the same. Juz tried and need to restore from backup again ... lol ...
After upgrading my Whatsapp to Version 2.8.5310, I've this whole new list of Emoji-Smilies, which look wonderful, but the moment I select one of them, the application force-closes. I already tried clearing-data and reinstalling Whatsapp, but to no avail.
I'm clueless as to why its happening since the Emoji Emoticons work pretty well with Go SMS for me

Solution : The problem was apparently with Swift Key . All I had to do was switch over to a different Keyboard.

had the same problem after updating Whatsapp..
I found an entry on the support side from swift key that it might be related to their software.
So I uninstalled both swift key and whats app, did a reboot installed whats app again and voila.. no more crashes.

I've got the same bug on my Xperia Play
so is this a bug in SwiftKey or Whatsapp?
I use the Xperia keyboard but SwiftKey is much better that's why I hope they will do an update
The bug is with SwiftKey. And yes, I'm waiting for an upgrade too. For now, at the end of the sentence, I minimize the keyboard and then select the smiley

dear whatsapp service after 3 or 4 updates you do not install will stop supporting your older app with the service, so if you do not update it will stop working as a messenger, the new whatsapp app has a far better ui, very much eye catcher, is much faster and much bug free and richer in features

thats true but i understand his problem cause it gets to me all the time..im using the app on a non gsm tf300t and the newer app doesnt work..so everytime i start it i get that annoying notification..i definitely need help with that.I know its an old thread and all but i still have this problem.

I was installed whatsapp plus 6.35d now if i try to update update new version installed succesfully 6.43 with double blue tick version but in setting my version is still 6.35d. I uninstalled clean dalvik and cache reboot nothing helps

there is no message notification appears until i open whatsapp and send a message to someone, then all messages appears all at once
-i did factory reset
- i flashed rom with WindowsDeviceRecoveryToolInstaller
- updated everything
- set whatsapp on battery settings to allways active on background
- even i installed interopTools (i donno why)
result is the same, no new messages comming til i send some one a message
anyone?!

so why i have problems :| i did fresh install of its rom, updated to latest version then reset factory then updated apps and installed whatsapp and i have same issue, my bro have the same issue too.
did you change something in settings? whats is your phone model?

I did crisp introduce of its rom, refreshed to most recent form at that point reset processing plant at that point refreshed applications and introduced whats application and I have same issue, my brother have a similar issue as well.
