Adding languages to Sensation/2011 qHD S3 devices Sense 3.6 IME - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I have an issue to ask you guys about because I literally cannot find a way to do this.
So I have an HTC Vivid (yes I know, it's not a Sensation but the Vivid forum is DEAD and this is not Vivid specific), and all the custom ROMs do not have the proper handwriting traditional Chinese keyboard that is in many of the ROMs on this forum (Sense ones, at least.)
So does anyone know the specifics involved in adding the language specified to the HTC_IME keyboard on the Vivid? I know there is the HTC_IME.apk, but I think there are some associated dependencies and libraries that are responsible for adding the languages present in the Touch Input settings.

HTC IME Touch Input

I just installed one of the new Froyo roms, and the first thing I am missing is the HTC IME Touch Input keyboard. I searched and found some apk's but none of them would actually work after I selected them as my keyboard. Does anyone know a working IME keyboard apk for our phones? Usable on Froyo of course.

Yeah, sorry, feel free to move mods. I sent you a PM r0man.
In case anyone was wondering, the version r0man suggested did indeed work! Thanks man.

[solved] Needing a new keyboard

Hey guys,
Since htcime isnt longer compatible with jellybean, i need a new keyboard.
i dont like suggestions/autocorrections etc. i just need a qwertz (not qwerty) keyboard, with all turkish and german letters on long press(şçğğäöüß).
htc ime was perfect for me but i cant use it any longer on jellybean.
i have tried a lot of keyboards but could find one like the sense ime.
Themes arent really important but ics theme would be nice.
Edit : i have really tried each Keyboard on the market. But here on xda i found the best Keyboard: xperia Keyboard, just flashed and it is better than HTC ime

[Q] Vanilla Android interface on ShenduOS/MIUI ROMs

For many lesser-known devices, especially Chinese ones (Huawei etc.) Chinese developers like ShenduOS and MIUI create ROMs that work better or are more up-to-date than community builds of Cyanogenmod and other more vanilla/stock custom ROMs.
However, it seems to be quite difficult to remove the customised interface, which is developed primarily for native Chinese users, and is still unpleasant to use even after the system language is changed, from these ROMs.
Using ShenduOS on the Huawei Honour (U8860) as an example, the following elements are significantly different from stock Android:
-Keyboard (this can be fixed by installing an available stock Android keyboard apk from the appropriate Android version)
-Home/Launcher (easily fixed with either a stock launcher or something like ADW)
-Colour scheme of menus (is black-on-white by default, even in Android versions where a black menu background was the default. I imagine this is caused by the Shendu Theme app, but I would rather find a way to remove the Shendu themes completely than simply install a theme which looks stock)
-Settings app (Perhaps the most annoying part of the interface. When the language is changed, titles of sections in the app become poorly-translated English words that mean very little. Attempts to flash a Settings.apk from a CM10 dev build for the same device broke the OS)
-Notification bar and pulldown tray
I think that most of these differences are caused by Shendu's versions of the apk's included in system/app, however I have no idea how to go about replacing some of these apks or which ones are causing which interface problem.
This is probably similar to removing HTC Sense/Samsung Touchwiz from Android builds, so if anyone has experience in creating ROMs with stock Android interfaces from those with customised interfaces, your help would be appreciated

Modify Latin Ime APK please.

Hi i owned an atrix on neutrino rom which used a very nice and spaced out Win 7 style keyboard.
I have the latin im apk for it but as im on jellybam and the S2 isnt qhd i can forsee probllems with compatibility.
Any hope on someone compiling it and resizing it to work on this phone/rom please.
Much apprecciated, the stock on is not the best as i had grown accustomed to this light and fast one and installing another keyboard seems out of the options.

[Q] Sense IME on AOSP?

I am wondering if anyone has been able to make the Sense IME (keyboard) available on AOSP ROMs. I am aware that there are ROMs out there that are Sense/AOSP smashed together. But that's not what I am looking for. I do not have the HTC One, sadly. But I love the looks and I am looking forward into getting one. But for now, I want to know if anyone would be willing to extract the Sense 5 IME and plant it into a pure AOSP ROM. I am afraid of framework incompatibilities and other things that might make it not work. Thanks in advance!
