Hello,
I have checked this topic → http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/53824 ← and found my SI in the list but I can't update/upgrade.
I tried (SUS) and (PC Companion) both says that my device is up to date. but on the update site of Xperia go it says that the latest available software is: 6.1.1.B.1.10
and my device is 6.0.B.3.184 and I tried the (OTA) and it says that it is up to date too I tried to update it online from the website → http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-go/ ← but it said that I have latest version but I dont.
Is there anyway to do this?
My SI is: 1264-6144 it is in the list, and I dont want to unlock the bootloader so please, if there is a way to do this let me know
Thanks in advance,
JC

The update releases depends on what country on you, maybe in your country the update is not yet release.

A new update from SE is avaible for Xperia x8
it's version is 2.1.A.0.390.
It isn't avaible for Poland so I can't check what it gives to us.
Tell me what to do if this is multitouch update to upgreade my x8
Oy!
Not available in Norway either. Think we were among the first to recieve previous update, so I'm a bit puzzled.
According to version number, it's the same as mentioned in the multitouch thread.
Any guestimates on its rootability?
Anyone have Cust code that have this yet?

If I only could get SI number with avaible update I could get it...
Can you give m SI code for the latest update 2.0.2? Cause I'm in Bulgaria and here we still don't have 2.0.2. I dont want chinese firmware. Nordic SI code will be perfect.
In chineese you can change language -.-
But still I want nordic FW. The updates there comes first, right?
Thought so, but I'm smack in the middle of "nordic", and no update so far.
Maybe this is caused by me running... i think it's the russian firmware?
I have no idea, but does the russian Si code is updated to 2.0.2?
Also not available here in Greece. Waiting...
Does anything change in location codes for each version?
If my memory serve me, I did post my localization code for nordic firmware around the time of 2.1 update. I'll dig a bit.
Edit: Forgive my nubness, but I believe this to be my "customization code" from the time of 2.1 updates: 1242-7327_R3B
No idea if thats what you're looking for.
no notification on the SE Update site?
is this update going to delete everything (apps, sms) from my phone again?
I'm from Russia, but we dont have this update too...
update not yet available for me too..
its been certified..

Why do I think your numbers is wrong. I see that you missed something out of numbers? Numbers should be eight digit, like XXXX-XXXX for example.
Your numbers maybe is 1293-7740, Saudi Arabia.
The update on Android 6.0.1 with compilation 26.3.B.0.131 is available and should have received it.
Via computer or over your phone check for updates?

Yes ! you are correct that's the correct number.I'am sorry I have made a mistake.
The CDA is correct but the build number is wrong as the Saudi Arabia one ends with R6C where as my no. ends with R6A.
Will it be compatible with mine?
I can send you a screenshot of my service menu if you give me your email address
BTW I'am really grateful to you!
@Thisura, That your current software ends with other initials, does not mean that the new can not be with others initials. This shows the new revision of software so that it is not a problem.
I asked if and how you try to update? Via PC or over the phone. Still no notice of the update is available if you attach your phone to the computer with Pc Companion program?

Hi!,
Before flashing using the Xperifirm, I just did a software repair on the PC Companion and voila! the Marshmallow update was installed on it without the lollipop one!
Again, many thanks for your response and I think the users who haven't received the Marshmallow just try this method i'am sure it will work for you as well!
I purchased an Xperia XZ1 in May, 2018. After use of couple of days, i noticed that i am unable to get latest updates (even my android security patch is of August 5, 2017 which should be of May/June'18 as per official XZ1 updates). Thereafter, I enquired on official Sony Mobile forum where i got to know that my unit is not a retail unit but meant for "commercial and journalism" purpose . Now after gathering such knowledge which is still not confirmed and i am worried about future updates, could anyone here help me regarding this issue so that I would get the official updates on my phone which is still showing that my phone has the latest software.

You should be able to flash the latest through flashtool if it does not help to connect it to Sony companion
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Actually, I first tried PC Companion and it is showing that my phone has the latest software. Same is shown in the phone's System Update. What to do now...
Download firmware through Xperifirm and flash through Flashtool
What's your device model?
is your bootloader unlocked?

Model No. is G8342 and the Bootloader is locked.
Could you please guide me through the whole process of flashing the right firmware as I am new to all this and I think I have to do this.
Happened with me too, apparently some sellers online/local markets are selling storefront/demo devices after repackaging them and these do not get updates from sony officially but function fine, to confirm this you can check customization version of your phone and match it at https://xpericheck.com/device/G8342
If it's 1309-7037 (Commercial and Journalists) or 1311-2293 (StoreFront) then it is definitely demo unit :/
To check customization version:
Open the dialer
Enter *#*#7378423#*#* and press dial
Tap on Service info
Tap on Software info
Look for Customization Version
I'd suggest to try returning device if possible..

Its the Commercial & Journalists' unit. Im afraid returning the device is not possibe now. I just want to confirm if I flash any other stock rom, would that make my phone have latest official updates as and when available?
Kindly my phone was the same when i have got it last month but I have flashed the mea ftf file through Xperia flashtool and now I am getting new update which is not shown at any website yet I think it is july security patch.
Update: New software version 47.1.A.12.235 now installed with july security patch.
As I understand it, I don't need to unlock the bootloader in order to flash different official firmware versions to my phone. I'm leaving the bootloader locked until I really have a need to unlock it, because of the long-shot hope for a root exploit that will let me preserve my TA partition. As part of that, I really don't want to be stuck on a recent firmware version with all the old security holes patched. Therefore I want to get ahold of my current firmware or earlier before I flash anything. Somebody stop me here if I've misunderstood and anything I've said so far is impossible.
I have the dual-sim variant, G8342, running firmware 47.1.A.2.324.
Question 1: Is there a source somewhere of archived XZ1 firmware versions that includes 47.1.A.324 or earlier? I have searched the forum and google, but most xperia firmware backup sites have little or no files for the XZ1, and the couple of sources I've found are ancient with broken links. The post on these forums with stock firmware downloads only includes much newer versions.
Question 2: Is there a way I can extract a copy of my current firmware from my phone, without unlocking the bootloader? I find tutorials that work for "any xperia", but they're all quite old and talk about Sony PC Companion instead of Xperia Companion, and they all involve clicking "Your software is up to date"--and my software is not up to date, and updating it before backing it up would defeat the entire purpose of backing it up.
I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could clarify this for me so I can flash new firmware without losing the ability to go back.
Hi there, sorry i can't help you with your questions. I have one more question actually. are you sure i don't have to unlock bootloader if i flash official stock firmware??
Opposite to you, i'm stuck with a really old build from 2017. my phone is xz1 and its build version is 47.1.A.2.374. android security patch is from october 2017 and i desperately want to update the newest firmware yet i'm always told that my firmware is lastest.
sooo, am i able to flash it with the flashtool or newflasher?/
thank you

Seems highly unlikely that you haven't received an update since 2017 but then stranger things have happen.. New phone, carrier branded hmm..
Have you tried to update with Sony Companion, use the software update on the phone its self..
Oh and yes you can use the other methods you have mentioned..

Thanks a ton, lionelbac! For anyone else who comes across this thread, there's now also a download of 47.1.A.2.281_CE1 available in j4nn's magnificent TA partition backup thread, since that firmware is necessary for his exploit to work: https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz1-compact/development/devonly-exploits-temp-root-to-backup-t3795510
