CM 10 stable. - Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Pro

On German page computerbase they say cm 10 has reached stable status.
Anybody tested already for neo / neo V?
Send from my Neo V via Jelly Sandwich 7.4 and night elf 1.5 using Tapatalk 2

How bout a trip to Neo development section and trying it yourself?
Stable is a relative term.
If a cm10 for neo/v appears on get.cm it is certified stable.
Right now, for me cm10 is stable.
But not all functions work still, if it matches your requirements, it is stable.

[Q]Cyanogen mod for the neo v

I've read the posts in this forum and have seen that it is possible to root and unlock the bootloader on the neo v. Has anyone had any success in loading cyanogen mod on the phone? Also does anyone know if later CM releases will support the neo v? The answers to these questions will determine if i purchase the phone, thanks.
Well they are busy working on ICS 4.0 now but maybe they will add official support later..
That said, I asked mods to move this thread to General section.
There is a topic on HTCMania about CM7 on NeoV -> http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=292218 , but it's not working for me. I have latest firmware 4.0.2.a.0.42 and when I flash CM7, my phone doesn't want to boot. Users on XDA have successfully flashed roms from other phones as well -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1375582&page=2
If a method for fixing camera issues will be find, we will have (i guess) all the roms for Neo, Arc Ray, or Play flashable

[Q]

today i installed this on my Xperia x10 mini pro
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1415026
but after a couple of hour i found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636501
should i install the second's link mod? i mean it seems like an update or should i keep the one that i installed today?
thanks
MiniCM7 is based on Android 2.3 Gingerbread
MiniCM9 is based on Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich
You can't just upgrade from one to the other, you will need a different kernel as well.
MiniCM9 is still in early development so if you want to avoid issues or hickups stick with what you have now, If you like to experiment and experience the latest google has to offer, by all means try MiniCM9 but make sure you flash the nAa-ICS-03 kernel first and do a full wipe of your system.
actually i am pretty interested in the new android version i would prefer the CM9 but since it's new i will keep my CM7 and i will update to CM9 when i will have more experience and so on
thanks

if you decide to update, don't forget to install nAa-ics-03 kernel before: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636504

Why don't you go to the CM10 thread in the development section and read the last few pages?
All of the answers is there.
Short Answer: CM10 development is halted for the Xperia S until proper drivers are released from Sony

[Q] What is the best Rom, kernal etc for fastest running.

Ok, basically a long story cut short. My Xperia Neo is a bit of a mess. I upgraded to ICS but the phone lagged lots and just runs far too slow. I tried downgrading to Gingerbread but I have some weird version with chinese symbols etc. I'm one of these idiot newbs who thought they knew what they were doing but clearly don't.
I tried searching but got confused by all the different roms and kernals available. I was just wondering if someone could let me know what is the best Rom and Kernal for my phone is keep it running sweet.
Thanks lots in advance.

It depends on ur usage All roms on development thread r good
each rom has unique features and styles So depends on ur use
If you don't want any trouble, use any stock based rom.
Im currently checking these out..
JellySandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880321
IceCream Pureness http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737862
both seem good but cant decide which one i want
I'm on JellySandwich with Nightelf Kernel and it's just awesome.
Jellysandwich , Ice Cream Sandwich Pureness
I had both , and both of them on Night Elf Kernel.
I found ICSP very laggy (until I Flashed the JB Adreno Drivers) which made it smoother but is a pretty neat ROM overall (only thing is that I Don't Like those square icons) ,
JS is VERY smooth, with all those JB Adreno and Tegra 3 Scripts , It's really good , BUT the Aroma Installer is a bit confusing , so I've Installed and Reinstalled the ROM quite a very large number of times which made it quite buggering just like rite now, I'm using it (the last update 6.2.5) aaaand I don't have Gtalk , which I selected on the Aroma Installer, but I DONT have it , and I have XDA apk, which I Didn't selected!, and just a few things like that...
Which I Don't like about them both is that I Can't use the Music Info Download in either of them. which is pretty lame.
another Good option is the X-Gamer ROM which I liked a lot, the only thing it lacks is the ICS UI but it's a pretty good ROM.
Overall good gaming performance, and VERY stable.
battery Life was good too. but as I said is a GB ROM so ICS UI is just NOT there...
and about those Chinese things its just because You flashed and CN tft (it's like the official ROM but...for China)
you have to flash the Global .tft (search for it on google , like ... "Official Gingerbread Global Xperia Neo .tft " or something like that )
should arytgma
I'm right now on Ice Cream Pureness 13 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738055 and The Alliance kernel 1.5 by Night-Elf http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566871 and it seems pretty good to me :good:
Try by yourseft
All of custom rom in this forum is very good.
recommended: use GB for NEO/NEOV if you want stable, fast, good battery. Try T0x1c V8 or codename 9.1 rom.

[Q] Xperia Mini Pro: Latest update is a torture. Required Cutom Rom Suggestions

Hi,
I am not at all satisfied with the performance of the official latest update provided by Sony i.e., 4.1.B.0.587.
Posted many times on their support forum but no solution received yet.
It has several issues, naming few:
Hanging Issue (phone is on standby mode and suddenly starts ringing without any display on screen until you turn it off).
Battery Drainage (Major portion of the battery is consumed by Android OS).
Low on stability and performance. (very slow)
Current Version Details:
Model: Sony Xperia Mini Pro / SK17i
Android Version: 4.0.4
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 -perf (Why is Sony still using kernel 2.6.x when they should have switched to 3.x?)
Build Number: 4.1.B.0.587
I am looking forward for a custom ROM installation. Kindly suggest me the best ROM for my phone (I have also read on some forums that MIUI is better than CyanogenMod). Is that so???
It is the first time I am doing any custom installation on phone so will really appreciate if you can provide me the links of the forum from where I can get the details of how to proceed with the same.
Eagerly waiting for a prompt and positive response.
Thanks in advance.

Also should I wait for more stable JB?

Is your bootloader unlocked? Otherwise forget about cyanogenmod.
You could try my MIUI rom, it works on locked bootloader, too!
MIUI has lots of features, many are very great and usefull. There are great little things like being on lockscreen and holding homebutton acivates the flashlight.
MIUI is great, so just try it. How to install custom roms is in my signature, my MIUI rom, too :good:
And please read the sticked threads next time!

cm7 is based on vanilla gingerbread android source and it is fast. got more bugs than stock gingerbread rom.
ics miui is based on stock ics. its beautiful and got more feature than cm but its hunger on resource and sometime can be laggy too.
cm9 is based on vanilla ics android source and it is fast. but probably got more bugs than stock based rom.
aokp ics is based on vanilla ics android source too and same as source based rom, it is fast. got more feature than cm9 and inherit the same bugs as cm9.
paranoid android ics is the same, based on vanilla ics android source and it is fast too. got a feature exclusive to it which is ability to chose between phone ui, table ui or hybrid between both. imho not really suitable for our small screen phone.
cm10 is based on vanilla jellybean android source, got more bugs than cm9.
aokp jellybean is based on vanilla jellybean android source too, got more feature than cm10 and inherit same bugs as cm10.
paranoid android jellbean is same, based on vanilla jellybean android source. same as paranoid android ics, got the ability to chose between phone ui, tablet ui or hybrid. got the same bugs as cm10.
pacman jellybean is a hybrid between cm10, aokp and paranoid android. got all feature of those three, some sort of mash up rom. its based on vanilla jellybean android source too and inherit the same bugs as cm10.
that should sum it all up.
