Hi,
I wanted to check whether an unlocked AT&T HTC Titan 2 would connect to HSDPA in the UK e.g. O2.
Is it only a matter of connection setup or are there any radio bands missing from the Titan 2?
hi
i'm in France with an unlocked titan LL titan ll ,no data connection
I have a Samsung focus s us and it works fine in germany. U just have to set up the apn but htc has network setup or something like that. It's download in the htc hub. That should make it work.

K just wondering for those living in Montreal you getting lte on your phone?
Sent from my SGH-I717M using xda premium
Just got mine on launch date and never got to see the LTE logo on my device! Do you think there is any fees to get LTE coverage?
No. I think Rogers however now the data plan either comes with LTE or not. Kinda words, but I digress, I'm not getting LTE because I'm just a little off from where the LTE actually starts. (I'm in Roxboro close to DDO) and if you check the coverage map you'll see it just barely reaches my area. Thankfully they're gonna have LTE COMING soon to the west island. J'espere....

That's wierd! I'm in downtown montreal and never saw the LTE logo, i think i'm gonna call customer service to see whats the catch! According to the map coverage i should get the LTE signals.
I just got my Rogers note and I'm not getting lte apparently dans laval tu peux le acquérir.

Btw j'ai déjà appelé..... and they were so bad bell. Alors demain je vais retournera l'un sur bell et garder l'un de rogers.
Do you guys have LTE sim cards? I'm not sure if the same applies to bell, but I was told that telus required new sim cards that are compatible with the LTE network.
Yep both my Rogers and bell galaxy notes have lte sims
Sent from my SGH-I717M using xda premium
As a matter of fact, you need to have an LTE sim card, thing that no one at the bell store took the time to tell me! Is there any big difference on speed? Because with HSPA+ i'm getting an average speed of 8mbps wich is good for me!
Just change my sim card for an LTE one and now i'm getting LTE coverage and a 23.3mbps download speed
The LTE coverage is not that big so far. Im in quebec and manage to get it working for a couple of meters (22mbps)
You need 2 things to get it working, a lte sim card and a compatible plan. So that may be why some people dont get LTE
Code:
As a reminder, a client is provisioned for 4G LTE (4G LTE enabled) if they have both:
a 4G LTE SIM, and
a 4G LTE compatible rate plan or feature
Appeller le SAC
Has any Bell member here bought the AT&T i717, unlocked it and used it on LTE?
Hi i was wondering if there is a way i can get a Caller id app free so if someone *67 me the phone will find out the number i know there is a lot of paid apps but i dont want to pay

One of the GSM carriers here in my country has a DC-HSPA+ 42.2Mb network in Santo Domingo and other important cities, but I went to Santo domingo were they are supposed to have this network, but my cellphone never get connected to DC-HSPA+.
So, does the Verizon galaxy S4 has DC-HSPA+ indeed?
Or
Can the carrier block some device to connect to that network or can the carrier only allow devices with their firmware to connect to that network?

You are completely wrong. Verizon galaxy S4 is GSM/LTE/CDMA.
I am currently using it on GSM.

They don't otherwise everyone would get the Google play edition phones for Verizon.

Again you are wrong. Verizon galaxy S4 SCH-I545 works on GSM too.
As you can see in the attached image. There is H+. HSPA is for GSM only. You can also see the "Network Signal Info" widget it is connected to Claro H+ 21.6Mb.

I can't see because it is horribly blurry and Verizon does not use gsm. at&t does but I'm not gonna argue you with you when I tried to help. Hope you brick your phone.

I am not saying Verizon is a GSM carrier, I am saying that the Verizon Galaxy S4 is GSM/LTE/CDMA. as many others Verizon cellphones.

A. There is a difference between having gsm and having all the bands for it. The Verizon s4 has gsm so that when you travel abroad you can still use it. This it's not meant to operate on higher tech gsm just regular hpda and gsm voice.
B. Why would you buy the s4 for a United states carrier if you don't plan on using it in the United states
C. If you are just going to tell anyone that is trying to help you wrong you aren't going to get anyone to help you

A-according to specs over the internet and a Samsumg costumer support agent it supports DC-HSPA+
B-because since this model support GSM, you can use it on any GSM carrier around the world. And it could be a gift from a relative or a friend.
C-sorry but he keeps saying this model doesn't support GSM, so since I know it does support GSM, I have to tell him, he was wrong. I was not telling him in a bad way, just clarifying.
What about if someone is telling you that something works THIS way, but you know that "something" work THAT way... wouldn't you tell him he is wrong?

Give it up, you can't help someone who asks a question but believes he already knows the answer and refuses to listen to others he asked for help from.

Why did you say that?
If its for the GSM, I was just clarifying.
The other points, well, Maybe he is right. And this phone has no DC-HSPA+ support. So since internet and samsung stated that this model have DC-HSPA+ I thought it could be something related to the carrier.

Yes the Verizon phones after Note 2 all are factory unlocked which means you can go to verizon and use it on att.. which makes no sence but if you leave VZW for AT&T or T-Mobile you are all good.
So yes Verizon phones are also GSM.

So isn't there an app or computer program that could tell you your device technologies and frecuency bands enabled on it?

Everyone should calm down. As evident with most forum threads from people who are not researching beforehand, people are not getting answers from Google. Is it because they want a person to communicate and verify answers they researched? Likely not. Is it because people are inherently lazy? Probably. Is it because a lot of people don't know how to specify search criteria and often give up if they do not find results on the first page of Google? More than likely.
Anyways, while informative somewhat, I think this thread should be locked so no more harsh attitudes can be thrown about. Just my two cents.
Hi all,
I'm facing a strange problem.
With my Xperia Z Ultra, when I insert a virgin mobile France SIM card, the phone goes in an infinite reboot loop... Can't do anything. It's the second SIM card from this carrier that does it.
With a T-Mobile US SIM card, it doesn't do it. But of course, I can't and don't want to use the T-Mobile SIM card in France.
Any thoughts? Our do I have a faulty unit and need to send it back to Hong Kong?
Thanks for your help

I had the same problem last week in Hungary with my Italian sim, 2 days before I was in Slovacchia without problems.
Came back at home in Italy everything works fine
Sorry but I really don't know why
It s look like a roaming problem
Apn maybe?

Hi danilos2k,
I confirm it seems to be linked with roaming.
I've tried with 3 different sim cards from different carriers and only the ones from MVNO (Virgin mobile and Free mobile when roaming on Orange network in France) have this strange behavior.
Does anybody else has found this strange bug?

Good news,
The recent update for HK phones seems to have solved the problem.
I can use my phone with my Virgin Mobile France sim card and it doesn't rebbot anymore...
I'm a happy camper!!!

You may be able to try some of the modems available for the I9000. There is no way to know how well they will work but a few people from Europe have had a little success.
