I absolutely love CM10! It's perfect and just about everything here works perfectly....except the external SD. Just curious, why doesn't it work through the ROM like it would on the stock ROM? I remember having an OG EVO 4G and it worked fine with it in CM9 and all other versions, is it because of MTP?

Sorry I didn't get exactly what you said, explain?
I was more so just wondering why it doesn't function correctly on this, like I have to download Multi-Mount on the Play Store everytime I want to use it

Ok gotta question for all ya geniuses here...
Can I back up apps and data from my rooted samsung infuse through tibu and then take sd card out and stick in prime and restore through tibu to mirror what I have on the ole 4g?
Sorry if this makes no sense but seems logical to me.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
Yes you can but this is what I had to do to get it to work. I had to install tibu and then copy all the files and drop them in the newly created tibu folder that was installed after the app was installed. I haven't had any problems installing the ones that I have installed.

Ok great. Will try this when I get home. Maybe just plug both into my laptop simultaneously and transfer through win exp. No need to remove sd cards. Lol. Makes sense.
Thanks

This a senseless version of the Evo3D port created by Dexter_nib. All credit for the port belongs to Dexter. Thanks for your amazing work!
I removed a ton of Sense stuff and added a number of stock apps (Launcher2, Clock, Calendar, Email, Music, Keyboard). This has screen density set to 160 so it identifies as a tablet.
Only real fc is keyboard settings but it works if you access via keyboard shortcut. Stripped out tons of sense stuff. Only thing not working is pen and camera. Probably other issues so please post and I will work on trying to fix things.
I will add some more info tomorrow.

Works good. FC in language/input settings as mentioned in op. No pointer when paired to my mouse. Directional keys and keyboard works when paired. Other than that I like it.

What works and what doesn't work?
The only things not working are pen and camera. The settings FC's for Language but as noted in the OP you can access via keyboard shortcut.
Everything else is working.

Right! media scanning works and SD loads but you cant mount it to a computer. I have been pulling it out to add files or mounting via recovery.

add the mass storage tool i use in the OneXXL rom, and its back working when you open the UMS tool and enable, and your sdcard is shared to pc.
works great on onexxl both with system function and afterwards on my rom, and should work on this one too.
Apex and Nova, launchers from the market are much better ICS launchers than Launcher2 if they will work with this.

Here is a USB mass storage app that should work to initiate SD card mounting. Thank Dexter for the idea.

this can actually help, but i believe the kernel also needs changing, so its located at /mnt/sdcard and "bind" to the /mnt/sdcard/ext_sd location.
since settings app is using a fstat on the filesystem which fails when it is on a mountpoint, it seems. i am not even sure bind will solve it, but i think so.

How many apps do you have? There's a few gigs reserved for apps, isn't there?
Try clearing the Market's data in the manage apps menu, and try again. If that doesn't work, uninstall the apps you don't use!

How the hell did you fill up 2gb worth of app storage already? Damn
Impressive that you filled it up already. I think I have 70 apps and I still have 1.35gb left.

Unless specified other in the phone storage options :
Your pictures should go to the /sdcard/dcim
Your micro SD card files are located in the folder: /sdcard/ext_sd/

I found a solution and made a thread here. I haven't tested it on our device yet but I believe it should work.
It looks promising though and it does address these issues.
You can go into settings>apps, and move some of the apps (internal storage), to phone storage (sd1 10gb). Basically I have around 12 GB to work with if I move stuff around.

I always assumed this was impossible because one of the partitions of the internal flash storage is already called (amusingly) 'sd_card' and *this* is where apps are stored when on the 'sd_card'. However, there was mention in a review article about overcoming the SGSIV's limited built-in storage by simply storing apps on the sd_card which in this case would be the external one. Assuming the SGSIV has the same partitioning as the LGOG, I started to wonder....
Does anyone know about this? thanks.

My miscellaneous data is at 7gb and I have about 2.5 gb available... Does this seem about right? I do use titanium backup ( so all apps plus data are backed up) and a stock rom saved also.
Should I even be concerned with available storage..

When you changed Android version your file location of all your storage changed. So now you have a copy of your entire storage in another location. I recommend deleting things you don't need or deleting the copy in a root file Explorer.

2.5 is about right with the backups and music on there. Download DiskUsage on the Play store. It really gives a good perspective of where your stuff is.
