I'm taking pictures with my Note2 at 3264X2448 (8M) resolution, but when I upload them via the Gallery to Picasa, they keep coming in at 800X600. I want to upload them at full size. I can't find a setting anywhere to change this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
It seems like no one else is having this issue, or no one else is using Picasa. I scoured the web and couldn't find anyone else with this problem for any devices, so I'm not sure what the deal is.
What online photo storage services are people using?

Remeber those beatiful pics that HTC showed on the contacts screen for touch flo 3D? Well i have yet to find what kind of size and type of file the phone uses to have a decent picture load up. I tried using the 1600 x 1200 (as these are the std sizes for the sample pics that come with the phone) as these loaded up fine but then i uploaded it and it still looks horrible!
All my contac pics look like crap so I wonder who else has this problem or better yet a solution for it.
Thanks!
I added a pic of what I was talking about (from HTC's stock pics where the lady looks HD like)
??
in the contact screen ..there should be a menu tab....there's a tab that says " change Picture " tap it and change picture...Picture should be crisper..
Peace
Mike
Sir... you are a miracle worker, they look sharp!
Thanks!
Also seems to happen if you have an exchange server sync your pictures back in.
My works exchange server resized the image to be very small, unless I changed the picture manually back to the image I wanted after a flash, it used the 'resized' version.
So same solution as posted above, just wanted to throw out this possible situation that has the same solution in case someone searches and finds this
Thanks for the info mike19722. Always wondered why it looked so crappy.
Can somebody do me a favor, and upload the first 2 sample photos, the stock HTC images in the Camera Shots gallery, located at /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/100MEDIA?
I was trying to move the sample pics to another location (but still keep them), so I can just have the photos I take in the Camera Shots gallery. Genius that I am, I managed to delete the first 2 sample photos instead of move them.
Not a huge deal of course, but I'm a bit of a completionist. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can do this. Thanks in advance.
samples 01 and 02?
sent you a pm.
Thanks a bunch!
The latest update of google plus mentions high resolution instant upload, but I am not seeing this functionality ... am I missing something? Also with previously uploaded photos, they remain at low resolution ... will I have to remove them and allow my phone to re-upload the images?
Cheers

I've had the OG evo, 3d and now lte.
How do I send videos through text messages? It's a short video, under 20 seconds. I trimmed it to be short(video of my 3 month old laughing). I watch my father in-law with his iPhone, take a video and then text it. Just like our phone can compresses pictures, the iPhone compresses his videos.
My video is 9mb now, if can compress and send via sms.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

New to the EVO LTE
I hate to dig up and old post, but people were less than friendly in the E4GT forum at times and I wanted to provide people with the idea that I do research a little before I post:
I need to get videos from a friend who has the same device as me, EVO LTE no rooted, from phone to phone. We only see each other during Jiu Jitsu and these are videos of my last tournament so I would like to have them.
We have tried:
Bluetooth (My device wasn't found, I have been on MeanROM he is stock)
Email (Videos are too big)
MMS (same issue as email)
Facebook (he could post them to his wall, but then I would have to get them off of there)
NFC (I am no dummy, but I couldn't figure out how to work it, plus the file is most likely too large)
Any help would be appreciated or other troubleshooting would help also. I am really just looking to brainstorm if there is no direct answer.
Maybe upload to Dropbox, SkyDrive, SugarSync or some other type of cloud type service or maybe one of the free web based servers like Mediafire, Hotfile, Rapidshare, etc... Just a matter of how large the files are.

Yea that was my last option, he is so unsavy technically. But I have an account I thought if I just logged in from his phone then upload the particular videos, I was just concerned about auto-loading some of his other files.

The sms/mms app compresses automatically. When i send something too large i get the animated circle and a message that says compressing.

Only short videos that are taken from the MMS setting will send either way, so pretty much these listed above are the only options....
I have a problem that i have looked and looked and can't find any answer for it so hoping some experts here might have the answer.
I need to recover a photo of my dog which although is set as profile photo the original on my sd card is deleted and i would like to recover it before i reset the phone back to factory.
My understanding of this is that the photo is stored in the database of android contacts which is why it doesn't show up in gallery or any other file finding or photo finding apps. I would love to extract it as the dog has passed away and it's one of my favourites of him.
Please can you tell me how to extract the photo or if i am wrong regarding the location can anyone help me find it and remove it?
Yours in Hope:good:
I'll be in your Google account if you are synced... I'm not sure... Haven't tried.. Ever... But just go to g+ check your photos there... It might be there...!

Back when google was trying to push their naming convention of splitting 1 word into 2 i ended up with 2 google+ accounts but the photo is not on either. I ended up with scotchmizzed and Scotch Mizzed which i hate but they make it so difficult to combine, just not worth the hassle.
I just know it's on this device and would love to get it off.. Thanks anyway:good:
It should be in the Google contacts (if you are synced).
If you can't find it anywhere, you can always take a screenshot of the screen and then edit the image to get only the picture.
This is what I've had to do and with a bit of cropping it's not bad but was wanting to know if I could access the original in the hope it was maybe a better quality. Thanks very much for the reply anyway.
