Is this feature available for the Note 2? My Note 10.1 with Jellybean has it, but my Note 2 does not.
It's getting in the way on mine. Restore Spen with TiBu and all my notes come back; that is until I try to open the folder. Then it syncs (with what IDK) and everything goes back to the default items list. Really need the feature disabled. PITA.

So my note is about a month old now, and after flashing the Sauron RC VI , I never really tried using the S Pen with S Memo, I tried today and it would not work within S memo, I can navigate with the pen, however whenever I open the application and try to write something on the screen it would not show up. I closed the memo and it was saved, and in the saved memo I see what I was trying to write, I try using the eraser and it wont work wither, it recognized if I touch the settings button inside the app, but nothing shows up while I'm trying to write something. I think its S memo problem or something, any clues?

same problem the pen withs in everything else but smemo
I had the same issue once I started flashing roms. I ended up doing a full wipe, factory reset and starting over. You could try to do a nandroid back up first, then full wipe, then restore the backup. Won't hurt.
Some roms don't support any spen apps.

Bumping an old thread. I have just noticed I have the same issue. Running a rooted Rogers ICS ROM. S-pen will do a screenshot, will open up s-memo, works perfectly when editing photos, and works in any 3rd party app. However no writing shows up in s-memo or s-note. The phone recognizes that I am writing something but nothing shows.
This thread is the ONLY mention of this issue and no solution was ever mentioned. Any ideas?

If you remove the pen button, there is a screw under there that adjusts sensitively.
No screen protector at all. Button is not the issue. Ink just does not show up when drawing in s memo, s memo lite, and s note only. But pen writing is detected. However if I write something in s memo lite and save it, then open up s memo the saved memo can now be seen. Magically the writing appears.
Figured it out myself. I had recently modified the build.prop to change all I717R to I717. Must have affected the s-pen lib files which were tied to a I717R device. Changing everything back to I717R restored my s-pen functions 100%.

I just installed CM10 on my note 2..
therefore there is no more SNote..
is there any apps that i can use in place of SNote?..
tried Evernote but somehow i couldn't draw..
Use "amazing note" from the play store. It has almost all the things in Snote

the ASUS SuperNote works well on the GN2. ASUS includes it on the Transformer tablets. Somewhere on XDA, someone posted the APK. The Spen worked on it, but didn't have all the bells and whistles for it like SNote. Worth a try.

I've tried at least a dozen note apps and snote is always my favorite. It's simple yet packs great features that can't be matched.
- has a mini note mode for taking notes while in another app.
- had built in cloud backup.
- can sync with evernote.
- has shape recognition.
- compatible with multi window feature.
- can record and play back your note (great for drawings).
- has multiple templates built in.
- allows the insertion of just about anything. .. photos, videos, clip art, etc.
- scrolls when you reach the end of the page (without having to use your fingers).
- has multiple widgets.
- can be activated in the phone app or automatically when the spen leaves the silo.
- and more!
This is the first device I've used where the stock apps are better than third party apps (keyboard, camera app, snotes)

I think the OP was looking for alternatives to S-Note as he can't run S-Note, rather than an explanation of why S-Note (that he can't use) is so great

True, but he's only missing it because of the rom he's using, not because his device can't run it. Therefore, they are better off getting snote back instead of looking for inferior alternatives
Edit: damn, I just realized that snote needs the touch wiz framework to operate, so there is no way to use it on CM10... That's a bummer
Yeah exactly. I haven't found an alternative to Snote that does it all in one since switching to CM10, using a combination of 2-3 apps instead.

I just got my Galaxy Note 2 replaced under insurance.
I am trying to get functionality back that I had before.
I used to be able to say something like:
"Remind me to call so-and-so tomorrow at 1pm".
And it would work flawlessly and alert me at that time.
Can someone please explain how I get this functionality back.
Does it have something to do with Samsung's calendar app? It works find for alarms, but it also used to utilize the calendar.

nevermind... I just had to update Google Search. Works now.
When I open a photo in gallery and touch 2 htc ones back to back my phone gives me the option to touch to beam and my wifes phone says it is accepting the beam however it does not actually do anything and the beam eventually fails. I called HTC and they say that there phones do not have the function to beam photos although the phones clearly do it just fails, I thought this was a feature of jelly bean? Sounds like they're making excuses....I can beam contacts, If i have an app open and she doesn't have it it goes to the play store link, i can beam browser pages, I can beam things like settings pages or places within the user interface but i cant send photos.....I know there are third party apps I can use but i shouldn't have to.
Anyone else having this issue contact HTC (8664498358) and let them know this is not ok. they answer immediately and are very nice and willing to take feedback, almost to the point to sound like the phone was released with unfinished software....sad to say...the last lady I spoke to said they are still taking feedback and working on problems....wow...She should have kept her mouth shut about that....This phone shouldn't have problems...

Hi everyone.
I'm at the point of losing my mind with this bloody app helium..
When I first used the app for my nexus 7 too galaxy nexus it was fantastic and did everything I expected it to do,
so much so I bought it for like £2.
I currently have 3 devices now, Nexus 7 tablet, Galaxy nexus phone and P880 LG...
im gonna be selling the Gnexus and moving onto the p880.
The problem now is that two bugger apps hillclimbracing and fail hard wont seem to restore from either
dropbox, google drive or by finding it from the wifi list and copying it across the network.
The app says "back up complete" however they wont restore to the other device, it just fails (I have also checked and made sure that the apps are not running in the background before I try to overwrite them)
the p880 and Gn are both rooted and running MIUI and the Nexus7 is rooted and using stock rom 4.4.2
all permissions are set to allow...
can anyone recommend another app that might just do the job without the head ache?
one thing I don't get with helium is when you go to restore and app and its not installed
its wanting to connect to play to download it first, then over write it?
I was also wondering if games like this have copy protection on them but I don't see why
when they are free?
