I went from the Iphone 4 to the Note II today. The problem is that my Iphone was jailbroken. So when I went into the verizon store they were not able to transfer my contacts from the Iphone to my new Note II. Does anyone know how I might be able to get this done?
Thanks
Sent up an exchange server on the iPhone using Google. Sync contacts. Then sync contacts on phone with google.

The instructions for setting up gmail using exchange server can be found online.

If you use this app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/my-contacts-backup/id446784593?mt=8 then you are able to back them up to a VCF file and send it to your email all from the iPhone then just download the VCF on the note 2 and you're set. Don't know why they couldn't transfer it there though I transfer stuff from jailbroken iPhones a lot, actually just did today unless they don't use Cellebrite

same problem for me

To make it work (for me atleast)
1. remove the whole exchange account
2. Turn on auto-syncing across your phone.
3. add back your exchange account, but this time make sure on the initial account setup that you select an auto syncing interval (anything except never). I used every hour.
4. Wait a while and it should show up in calendar (it did for me)
I had the same issue and that fixed it, many thanks.

Thx man, solved the prob for my i9000 too !!
i'm new to rooting, however i managed to get my phone rooted and got cm7 up and running on my own, i'm having one small issue, when i goto contacts i have only like 8 contacts there, however i should have 137 contacts, now they are in the phone as i can search for them and find them, however they do not display in the list.
i go to
contacts
settings
display options
i'v turned off contacts with phone only
then selected my gmail account and checked all
then my cloud and checked all
still only shows 8 contacts
when i log into the cloud via my pc, it shows 137 contacts, also if i search on my phone it locates contacts not visiable in the list...
anyone experience similar bugs??

not really a bug, i don't think, more likely an issue with how the contacts were saved to Google or sync'd to the dx2

clarification
so has anyone been able to import their contacts properly?
just want to know if i should spend hours that i dont have, working on something that cant be done??
i can workaround it, using search
but it would be nice to have the list in one peice..
are there any know contact apps that can be installed that MAY override my current list or use in lieu of..
phone is a DX2 (MB870) running CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC1 X2 [BETA] ?
Most people have no issues with contacts, but it happens.
at google.com/contacts are all contacts under "My Contacts" or other group?
sometimes rebooting phone may fix
exporting contacts to sd card and re-importing them
export contacts from google.com/contacts (more>export) as a .vcf file, place on sd card and re-import them
Hi all,
I've been trying to remove as much proprietary software as possible from my Nexus 7 2013 LTE (deb). I re-flashed CM11 and didn't install Gapps.
I usually use Hangouts; I was hoping to use ChatSecure to connect using my Google account instead but it won't let me log in (if I click add Google account I get a popup with "Account type" that is otherwise empty).
Is there some dependency that ChatSecure needs to be able to use a Google account? Does anyone know how to use a google account with CatSecure without Gapps?
Thanks,
Feathers
Chatsecure and google chat
I know I'm reviving an old thread. I also have the same problem and googling has not yielded satisfactory results.
Anyone else experience the same problem? I have version 13.1.2 of chatsecure from F-Droid installed on CM11. Its the same problem, I tap account type, and a blank popup with header Account Type appears.
Regards
Paul

Ah, that is a bit of a fail. It seems the google account has to already be set up on the device. This means that if we want to operate our Android device without linking anything to Google Chatsecure wont be of any use. I have in stead opted to use Xabber. Pity, as there are many reasons to prefer Chatsecure.

Apologies, another update. ChatSecure can be used with Google Talk even if the google account is not registered on the android device.
I added the Google Talk account as an XMPP account, port 5222 on talk.google.com. So both Xabber and ChatSecure should work without any issues.

good app. I use it instead of fb messenger too.
Hi, I think I overdone on cleanup on my global Redmi Note 4 MTK (nikel) where I accidentally removed stock Mail and Calendar apps. Does anyone else have them handy? Currently running 10.2.1.0. MBFMIXM.
thanks!
I think that from MIUI 10, mail app is no longer included (don't know why as i like it) [emoji53]
I found .apk file, downloaded it and using it still..
In the link below, i found bunch of Xiaomi apps, including calendar and mail app [emoji846]
Hope this will help you [emoji846]

thanks davorterzin. However, what i found was that the mail app i get form apkmirror.com can sync, but calendar i download from apkmirror.com cannot sync. this is true for both gmail and outlook (the two i use the most often). am i missing something?
To be completely honest, i don't know [emoji53]
I have calendar app and is syncing normaly with my mail app (schedule and meetings from outlook exchange is syncing properly, on gmail I don't have anything).
Did you check if ot is something "blocked" or disabled (for calendar) as it is treating it as a "third party app"? [emoji53]

thanks davorterzin. yes, i checked all other permissions but seems just the calendar is not behaving as it should - email syncs no problem. anyway, i'll stick with using Outlook for Android for now, unless i've time to reflash the entire thing and start from fresh...
