[Q] Need help, can't get back to LJB - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

I have no idea what is happening. The phone is unlocked and installed CWM when I was in China one week ago since I need a different rom so that I can use Chinese service provider's internet. I went back to America yesterday and found verizon wouldn't work then I try to figure that out by myself.
During that time, I flashed VRALI3 baseband with CWM. Verizon's signal came back again when I flashed the stock rom but VRALI3 stays on my phone. That was all I have done to my phone so far. I couldn't find anything about VRALI3 on google and I need help with this. Thank you!!![[[[[[[[[[[Android Version 4.1.1,Baseband Version I605VRALI3, Build: JRO03C.I605VRALJB]]]]]]]]]]]]

[Q] Need Guidance on reseting to update

Hey guys,
I've been mucking around with my galaxy moving between some builds but ultimately have decided to go back to stock for now and wait for 4.0.3 to come out through my carrier.
Anyway, I restored from a CWM recovery image I had and out of curiousity went to update my phone as it's only at 2.3.3. Unfortunately it won't let me update OTA and won't let me update on Keis.
Now i've seen a few threads that say it should be updatable, a few that don't and a few that say both. I just need an information on what I need to do to be able to get the update to my phone and also to prepare it for the eventual ICS update.
Thanks in advance.

Restore Stock Carier from ODIN
Try restoring your carrier's stock ROM using ODIN.
The OTA update is carrier specific and might not work if you're not using the specific ROM provided by your carrier.
You can find a list of (some) official ROMs here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278
Or you can google for it if it's not on the list.

[Q] uk stock ics firmware for t moblie

hi all
a mate at work has (had) brick his phone
after he try'd root it and then install ics
after booting the phone it would load the samsung screen and just say there .
after many try's today iv manage to install a EU FW
baseband 19100xxlpq
KV 3.0.15-19100xxlpq
and got it to work ...
but after looking at the "about phone" thats when iv notice it was EU FW that iv installed ..
so what im asking is will this FW work and be ok from now on ?
or should try and install the correct FW?
the phone is on t-moblie
will work fine, if anything youve improved it by getting rid of all the carrier bloatware. Though if he got it from t-mobile themselves you would probably have to flash their firmware onto it if it had to go back for warranty issues. The firmwares can be found in intratechs firmware thread in development section.
Questions should be in the Questions section by the way

[Q] how to install ICS old bootloader

Hello to everybody.
First of all I need to tell that this is my first post in this huge community, so as you could understand I am so totally noob, besides I am from Latin America so excuse me for my bad english.
I have a S3 I9300 (bought on december 2012) and I am feeling worry about the sudden death issue, according with what I've read one of the possible causes of this issue might be the bootloader of the jelly bean, so they recommend to install old bootloader the one which came with the ICS 4.0.4, but doing this may brick my device.
So my question is does worth the risk to install this old bootloader? another thing is that I have the red exclamation mark when the phone is booting (I am currently using Sotmax v12 rom with Yank555 2.8f kernel).
And in case the answer is yes do someone has tutorials or video of how this should be done?
Thanks in advance for your help
See the post how to flash old bootloader right next to this post .

Thank you for your response, I've read the thread you suggest and I still do not understand some aspects like:
1.- Do I need to be on 4.0.4 Stock to flash the bootloader?
2.- In order to flash the bootloader just need to place the ICS old bootloader XXALEF provided in the thread in the bootloader section in Odin 3? or is needed to do another procedure first? do I lost root?
I am sorry to bother you, but I want to be sure about what I am going to do before try to do it.
Thanks
I think do what you see in the other thread.
The trick is look for a country that has not gotten uodated to JB 4.1.2. Stuck at 4.1.1. DL the last 4.04 (ICS) of that country. Flash it via Odin. Then upon first boot (dont root in the mean time) let it update to 4.1.1 via the phone's OTA Software Update. This is the key part when a JB 4.1.1 Bootloader will be installed that will break the XXELLA bootloader's protection.
After that OTA update is finished (285 MB file) then you can flash that XXALEF ICS Bootloader through PC Odin.
Then do root or wahteva you want.
This is described in Dr Love's thread. I'd done this way.
Another way is this one.

Thank you so much for your response. I will try the second method and see what happens.
Sorry for my persistence.
Now I understand almost every step on the procedure to downgrade the old bootloader, but one still question still remains do I need to be on 4.0.4 stock to downgrade or it does not matter what firmware I am using?
Thanks for your help

Firmware Question

I have a firmware question that I can't seem to find the answer to by searching. I am running arhd 11 on an att HTC one. Should I upgrade the firmware on my phone? Will there be any benefits to this since I am on att and not international? Also how do I go about updating the firmware and does it wipe the device? If I should upgrade, what it's the version I should download? Longtime Samsung user so please excuse the noobness.
If alls running well, then plz avoid ... however, in ARHD thread many AT&T users have updated the firmware without any side-effects
Best to post Q in that thread itself

It is currently not mandatory to flash the new firmware for ARHD, but it does provide a noticeable increase performance depending on the current firmware version you are running, I was running 1.26 on my AT&T m7 and the screen and touch buttons have been much more responsive now that I am running the new 2.24. Flashing the new firmware will also update the baseband, providing you with the latest radio (but performance of this will vary from region to region.
If you go to this link, it will give you some great instructions on the update process.

BTW, you will need to be s-off and change your cid to 11111111. As long as you take your time and follow the directions completely you will be fine. If you do update make sure you flash the firmware TWICE when it says to, and make sure you re-flash your custom recovery because it will get replaced during the updating process. This process will not delete your sd card and you will be able to run your current ARHD, but it is recommended to do a clean install after. And you might as well since 12.0 is out.
hope this helps
I'm getting a failed not allowed error when trying to 'fastboot flash zip'
I successfully have s-off and changed CID but can't get firmware to flash
Edit: not sure what happened but I was able to push the zip successfully. Maybe from adding the path of the file instead of just the zip file? Anyway, it worked.

IF the rom is tweaked right theres no real reason to update the firmware to euro build,Id wait till att variant or the dev variant gets the update and then worry about it.

Rogers 925W8 Bootloader and Modem

Ever since I have updated my phone, I have not been able to use the LTE. I already know there was a problem about this more detailed being delayed text messages and it was solved via an update. But being my phone is rooted and have a custom rom, I am not able to update what I need and I haven't been able to find it.
Here is my phone stats.
5.1.1
Xtrestolitel Deo Mod 2.4 925FXX COI9
Bootloader 925W8 BOI6
PDA 925FXX COI9
CSC 925FOAX3COI9
Baseband 925W8 BOI6
Can someone point me in the correct direction for the latest bootloader and baseband and/or what ever I need that is latest for the W8 Rogers model? I have been looking for a long time and haven't been able to find it other than from the place of where we do not speak or post links of.
Thanks in advance.
