Hey guys.
I have SE live with walkman, bootloader unlocked, i flashed kernel with root and cwm (mesa/EXtended Stock Kernel v2)
when i try to flash a rom i have an error ''cant mount sdcard''. i have no idea what can be wrong with my phone. i tried everythng, downgrade cwm, flashing other kernels - still nothing.
If anyone here know what it is, please answer. I spend whole week for search solution..
greets,
I think the best you can do is to go back to Stock, rom and kernel, try cwm there, if there is any problem with sdcard, format it and try again. I hope this can Help you

question is there is cmw or other recovery on stock kernel?
Yes!
Yeah you must install it after flashing stock tft, you can do it with an app from Play store called X-parts or you can do it manually look for it in the forum

You must have root to install CWM

Well, I have a SE Xperia Mini ST-15. I've just downloaded X-Parts app and installed CWM Recovery 5.0.2.7 (My phone is in GB 2.3.3)
I have some problems with SD partition softwares in my PC, so I tried to partition my SD using CWM, but then I realized that this CWM version doesn't have that option in the "advanced" menu.
And my question is... Do I have to unlock my bootloader and install the original CWM to get access to that option? Or why isn't that option there?
(Just a noob looking for help and knowledge, thank you )
Sorry, can't really answer you, but also have a X10 mini pro with installed x-parts and lots of problems
Tried to install the CWM upgrade to be able to flash edified files but then it makes stop the CWM to boot at all! Without the upgrade edified files are not flashed, so I can't fix my keyboard layout.... :crying: could any x-parts developer help?
You should ask this question in your appropriate device thread if it has one.. Than you will get more help
we should polite enough to press thanks for everyone helped uS..

You don't need to unlock Bootloader for installing recovery, but need to be rooted. Just try the below link. let me know the result

Hmm, I am quite new to this, so maybe that's why I don't know how the partition should help? And then should I install the older version of CWM on it? Why older? I thought I need newer to support edified files?

Did you install it with the given instruction on the post to the letter, and did you install Facebook in aroma installer when doing it? i know that causes the bootloop, anyway reroot your current ics firmware, then try again.

are you using correct kernel for ur new rom, this may be the cause of bootloop

I didn't flash any kernel because it wasn't asked in the installation instructions. I thought it was included in the zip file.
i tried ir again and i got another bootload
You must see instructions, if there is a kernel/boot.img to flash, you have to flash it. But that only works if your bootloader is unlocked. Maybe try another rom than realics
It happened the same to me ... The problem Is with kernel.. You should flash recommended kernel for the given Rom ... Bootloop will be the thing of past ...
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
Real ICS does supports locked bootloader, just make sure that in aroma installer u selec the the lock bl option and the right phone model and it should work. u can also try unlocking your bl and flash to custom kernel
You have to flash correct kernel attach to the ROM

Hey people,
Rooted using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1501719 OR
http://www.thespicygadgematics.com/2012/05/root-unroot-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-i9100.html
Worked fine, I have superuser and I have downloaded and done other things that need rooting (unlock)
But when I reboot into recovery I am in stock recovery not CWM.. did I do something wrong?
Thanks
James

your link says you have two files. cwm and busybox. did you install both?
even if you have stock recovery, its not an issue as long as you're rooted. If you're going to install a custom kernel, you'll get a custom version of CWM anyways.
Hi everyone, I've searched over the forum but did not find any thread... Can any one explain how to flash cwm recovery into a SK17i xperia mini pro?
I've downloaded ROM MANAGER from store but it says "unsupported device" or something like that when I click on "flash cwm". Should I keep trying with rom manager even if it says that? I think maybe it is not safe...
What is the better way to flash cwm? Actually, I dont know anyothers ways...
Thanks for the answers and sorry for my english.
Edit: what about x-parts app? I think it can flash cwm too, but it says something like "if you delete system partition cwm will dissappear". I really dont know what it means, maybe is a standard warning message, but I'm a total noob.
The reason why I want cmw recovery is to make a backup of my current rom (stock .62) in order to be able to change roms and make experiments without risk.

You can install recovery from x-parts since it supports our phone but rom manager doesn't support....and the other thing means that if u wipe /system partition....ur recovery will be gone but if u install a rom which has recovery in the /system partition then cwm won't be lost...and don't worry, it's completely safe to install cwm via x-parts...

Welcome on the forum :good:
You have to reflash the stock gingerbread rom using flashtool. If you don't know how to do that, please use the search function
In the thread of the rom it tells you not to reboot on locked bootloader, you have to flash the clockworkmodfix.zip first. And did you do the necessary wipes before?
Which kernel were you on ? make sure you flash the correct kernel or the kernel given in the rom thread man
for now try returing back to stock as the above user said
