My boss uses watchdog on his daughters phone, although it seems to block the app completely instead of certain videos or websites
And they can be easily removed via adb. All of them can unfortunately
Sorry I don't have a decent suggestion

Is there a Music player like old ipod

Just wondering is there a music player or a skin for a music player
That is like a old clickwheel iPod that you can use in the same way.

Iam not a dev but hope someone can come up with it. Wish I could do apps
Maybe a skin for player pro or something

There was an app like this a while back and worked pretty good
I forget if it was on android or windows mobile though
Think apple found out and made them get rid of it...no joke
edit
it was for windows mobile
Yeah I still have that on my windows mobile....It would be amazing if somebody could make an app like that!!!!
There was an app on iOS called iClassic (jailbroken)
Anyone found a app yet

Cool idea, the question is, would the dev be sued by apple?
We all know how sue happy apple is...
Certainly needs to be dealt with before one invests time in such a project.

+1. Especially if you load all of "your" pics to their site.

Get off the internet entirely then. This is inevitable and bound to eventually happen. You can avoid android, google, gmail, but there will always be another site you use that do the exact same thing your trying to avoid. (Facebook? bing? Yahoo? etc... )
Your fighting an already lost war.
apple has been caught doing worse to their consumers, WP7 has complete "crap" you are agreeing to when you first start your phone up, but obviously nobody reads all of it. now google yaaaaay. looks like blackberry will be the only protected OS, along with whatever Nokia is working on. cant wait for BB10
Maybe I am missing something here but I fail to see why this is a bad thing. Sure they collect and store your information but its to better serve you as the user across all of their services.

So Big Brother watching over is ok with some I guess. It's not "bad," it's invasive. Who's to say Google won't start selling my search profile to marketing teams to start spamming? If it's to help serve us, why isn't it optional? Who really thinks Google isn't good enough as it is? There is no reason for this. Facebook tried something similar yrs ago when I was on that site, but everyone revolted so they changed their mind.

Well mind you, people can't see your information since all of them are tied together using a program that will pick your likes and output it to you. Unless they made an internal program within google company to sift through all those data just to grab some dirt on a politician or something...... Are you a politician? IF not, then you got nothing to worry about....

Tried? They do that now! Have been.
I am not a lawyer but I'm still not seeing how merging privacy policies gives Google more data. I would think they had the data before, it's one company.
Personally I was a freaked out more by the Google DART cookie setup a few years back. When Google basically said we are going to have this cookie on your computer tracking what you do. Since so many sites use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, etc. that means they know a lot about what you do even outside of Google sites. Since you can't really "log-out" of Google services on your Android phone I've always wondered how much they track.
Google ad opt out add on, moved email to hushmail and deleted contacts. I win.. unless they truly don't delete stuff. If not that should be illegal.

I'm pissed of at this kid as much as u guys are for his antic posts and money laundering schemes , but I think this post is a genuine one. No this thread is just as ridiculous as the rest of the ones he has made

If anyone else with a different history had posted this, would you guys have still raked them over the coals? The topic interests me. It seems like most of you are letting your dislike for the OP cloud your judgement. It's a valid thread.
Personally, I don't use battery saver mode and I get through a day just fine. I have been tempted to try it out, though, just to see what difference it makes. Can anyone tell me what affect it has on performance? Do you still receive emails right away when it's on?
One of the things I like about the HTC One is how buttery smooth it is and I'd hate to sacrifice performance for battery life.
Quit picking on the kid! Really folks, this forum is really quite boring due to the fact that HTC did such a wonderful job on this phone. There's just not much to improve upon on which is OK for me! Time for a new hobby...

Have you seen their stock and internal turmoil lately? they NEED to show that devotion for customer retention, otherwise they will truly kick the bucket.
I have a suggestion for HTC or build in more functionality to Sense or scrap it and go straight to plane native Android UI and let people customize it how they wan't I think that its one of the things that is holding this phone (and all their future phones back)

I highly disagree. I just think HTC would allow S-OFF via HTC Dev like they do bootloader. I just converted my TMO HTC One to GPE HTC One just so I can get the latest and greatest Kit Kit when it comes out. And guess what about 90 days from now I will be converting back to TMO HTC One Stock Kit Kat.
I personally like how Sense is setup, it is fluid and minimalistic. It now has the ability to turn off Blink Feed so it is even better. I just wish HTC would give users the option to interchangeable select which OS they want without having to go through pains of making sure you can obtain a S-OFF phone.

I can say that in the middle of our disagreement I can agree with you about Sense, because that's one of the big reasons I pick HTC over any other provider. Now I do know this: everyone, everywhere says the same thing over and over "our phones are as powerful as that computer sitting on your desk" and the sad part is that it's true! But I feel that power hasn't been harnessed yet; there are so much more I feel that are phones should do and currently don't (txt and browse the web at the same time, of for that fact do anything in combination at the same time, and so much more)
And before I get slapped with the statement "Sammy does that", I know... I just feel that with the hardware we have today (which is pretty much the same across all phones, just minor difference like amounts of memory vs screen size and so on...) it wouldn't be a purchasing factor between manufactures but a standard thing in Android....

I'm still in love with my HTC One and I have no idea why it didn't have more of an impact when released.
Apparently HTC is struggling with all it's other phones, they might as well perfect one phone like they did with the One.

You're always gonna get some errors with a unofficial release. I too was running kitkat on my HTC One. The problem is the playstore. A lot of apps aren't available yet. But we don't have much longer to wait, HTC gave there software for the GPe HTC One to Google. Just have to wait for a release and a rom to be created by the great developers.
