Xperia P bootloop after flashing Ac!d Soundmod v7 - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hey everyone, i flashed today on my xperia p the ac!d soundmod V5, everything worked, after that i saw that there is a v7 preview release with some walkman engine, so i flashed both of them, cleared dalvik and partition cache, but after i reboot the phone it comes to the boot animation, after that the phone should start but it gives me to choose the home launcher and wether i click something on not after a few seconds i get again the boot animation and then the phone reboots :/
I can access CWM, i can use the phone also but just for a very short time, it is maybe 10-15 seconds :/
I don't have a nandroid backup and i don't want to loose everything again on my phone Is there any other way to get it working without reflashing the rom ?

Just flash the older version via cwm if u can
It should work

I can't because my phone won't get recognised as mass storage since i installed thebrainsrom, i can connect it just via fastboot, and that means i can't transfer the old ac!d

Cant u mount usb in cwm!??
If not
Try this
Flash Brains kernel
Boot in cwm
Mount usb
Put old acid files
Flash via cwm
Or if that doesnt work
Flash cm9.1 kernel
Come in recovery
Mount usb storage
Put old acid files
Fastboot flash older kernel wid cwm(brains kernel I prefer)
Flash acid old version
Hehehehe
No problm in trying? Right?

I've managed to get it working again without loosing anything, i installed the official .54 ftf over flash tool but without wiping data, after that flashed again the custom kernel and rom and everything perfect except that i lost root
EDIT: Got my root back also

[Q] Formatted System, (cleared everything )st18i

Ehh... I´m a noob...
I tried to install Iced Bean 2.1 on my Sony Xperia Ray st18i (4.1.b.0.587)
I pressen on x-Parts and went to Recoverymode (by pressing Vol. Down + Home)
After I got into this mode ( which was new to me ) I pressed on every clear button and
went to advanced and formatted everything except my sd... kinda stupid i know
but I done this because I though it have to be to be a full wipe or smth like this.
Then I quitted the mode and tried to turn on the phone to go to ROM manager and
use the backup from Iced Bean 2.1 but then I checked I formatted the system *facepalm*
All I can do is now turn on and stare on the SONY logo.
Could you guys help me pls ?

flash stock sony firmware via flashtool...if you dont know how, there are several tutorials in this forum
or unlock your bootloader and flash a kernel with build in recovery like vds kernel for example. than you can install the backup of iced bean via that recovery and you cant wipe that recovery
You may want to flash your phone back to stock rom if you desire..
All you need is ftf and flashtool
you can download stock rom ftf here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36177572&postcount=1
then follow tutorial how to flash it here : http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/35239
that's it, hope it works

Flashing a different kernel is a good idea too, but you need an unlocked bootloader. Then you flash it in fastboot mode

HELP! Sola in bootloop

Hi everybody, I've just rooted, installed CWM and flash experience v2.1 and everything worked.
Than I flashed AC!D, wiped, then flashed Cybeshot 4, wiped, then flashed cybershot 5. After that I rebooted and from that moment it is in bootloop. I've already, wiped and reflashed the ROM, but it continues to reboot and a couple of times also the AROMA installer got stuck.
I really need help. What can I do to fix it? I mean, there's no reason why it shouldn't work after the flash, right?
Wipe everything (data system etc etc) then flash some ics kernel.. Then flash official ics .54ftf... This should work:thumbup:

I've got a .10.ftf and a .54.ftf kernels. I've created a zip for each other, then selected install zip form sd card in CWM, but it says installation aborted. Why? What's wrong now?

I cannot flash via flashtool because I can only work in CWM and flashtool doesn't recognize the phone in that modality.
You mean to say flashtool doesn't recognise you're mobile?? In that case.. You are missing some flashtool drivers.. You'll find them in /flashtool/drivers/ whichever folder you've installed flashtool in... After this flashtool should recognise you're device... If it doesn't then try flashing any ics kernel through cwm.. You'll find them in dev thread.. N then flash ics Rom

Remember that I can access only the CWM screen, flashtool can recognize the mobile even in CWM mode?
However, I've already tried to flash the kernel via CWM, but it says installation aborted. I've zipped .10 and .54 kernel in two different zip and renamed them kernel.10.zip and kernel.54.zip.
What's wrong?
EDIT: ok, I've been able to use flashtool. I've flashed .10 kernel, then flashed .54 kernel, then reinstalled experience ROM, wiped and restarted. It continuos to bootloop. Now I try to flash a stock ICS ROM.

Omg in order to use flash tool, just shut down ur phone, and then press the power button and the volume down button. If the led becomes green then u can succesfully use flash tool... Man, do some research first!
And also, get the ftf file by extracting the zip....

Ok, now I've wiped and flashed only MT27_6.1.1.B.1.54_KERNEL.ftf file through flashtool. Restarted the phone and it continuos to bootloop. When the phone says preparing internal storage it restart the phone.
sorry for my noobage. Now I've flashed MT27i_6.1.1.B.1.54_Global.ftf (big file) and flashtool had a problem. It says "err severity=major err code="0009"" err dynamic: block verification failed".
Now the phone continuosly shows screen with "sony".
Now what can I do? Can't even enter in CWM mode.
Ok, I've solved the problem. The last firmware I flashed was for unlocked xperia sola, this is why I had problems. Now I've resolved the softbrick thanks to a guide of doctor_droid.
Now I have to reroot and reinstall CWM, right?
Also thanks to you guys for your patience.
Yes... N after you install cwm.. Please make a back up through cwm for god sake!! happy rooting!!
Another question: the first time that the bootloop started was when I flashed cybershot and ac!d without restarting.
Do you think that the bootloop started because I haven't resarted between the two flashes?
Nothing as such.. May be conflicts between cybershot n acid files!! It's better you restart everytime you flash.. N do wipe cache partition n dalvik
Oh gosh, another funny problem. Got a problem with rooting.
I've flashed .10.tft kernel, then run "runme.bat" (from rootwithrestore) and this time says that there's "old adb" or something like that. However, I manage to conclude the process, but when I reboot I've got black screen. After that I've flashed the .54.tft file and the phone works fine, but there's no SuperSU app. So I suppose it's not rooted.
What's wrong with the runme.bat?
Yep not rooted!! Try again!!

If i cant access the bootloader how the hell can i install the rom? i didnt flash the rom yet im trying to figure out yet how to access the CWM recovery thats what im having trouble right now
then stop trying to figure out thing u cant achieve.
aosp base rom such as cm11 u want to install require flashing custom kernel, the boot.img provided in the rom zip, which in the kernel itself contains cwm recovery.
if u manage to flash it then u will get cwm that came with the kernel.

Can You explain the steps using flashtool? im new to this tool too. sorry im really new to this roms thing yet..
1- turn off phone
2- hold volume up button and while still holding the volum up, connect usb to phone and pc. led on phone will light ups blue indicating fastboot mode.
3- open flashtool, click on flash button, select fastboot mode, click ok, click select kernel to flash, on dropdown on lower left change to *.img, browse the boot.img, click ok.
4- flashtool main window will give output log of flashing the kernel.
5- remove usb
6- turn on phone
7- while kernel logo appear and led lights up, press volume down repeatedly.
8- phone will now boot into cwm
9- do wipe data/factory reset
10- flash rom
11- flash gapps
12- profit
anyway, why did u want to flash the buggy cm11?
try custom rom based on stock first, or miui, or cm9 or cm10. those roms are stable enough for everyday use.

I have to send the folder cm-11.0-20131225-NIGHTLY-LegacyXperia-mango.zip and the gapps folder to sd card before i flash kernel right?
yes, both the rom zip and gapps zip need to be in sdcard.
and if i'm not mistaken, cm11 need to repartition system partition due to not enough space in it for the big rom.
probably need to manually format system too before flash, i'm not really sure.
ask in the support thread instead

It Just says This:
WARNING: This ROM uses a modified internal memory layout.
Our /system partition is originally 400MB but this space is not enough for a fluid kitkat experience and a full installation with proper google apps.
Our /cache partition is also too small to fit art-cache when we enable the ART runtime. We originally had 100MB /cache but art-cache needs ~150mb of free space.
I have repartitioned the internal memory layout, giving:
450mb in /system
469,5mb in /data
8mb in /cache
Steps required for correct installation (order is important):
1: Flash boot.img in fastboot & reboot into recovery
1.1 (optional): If the device is not booting, reboot to bootloader again and run:
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase userdata
2: Enter recovery, go to mounts and storage
3: Format /system, then /data and then /cache (Important step!)
4: Flash update zip
5: Flash gapps (recommended package is the one provided in the link below)
Steps 1.1, 2 & 3 are not needed when you install new cm11 nightlies on top of older cm11 builds in the future
If you want to return to a ROM that doesn't use the new partition layout, you need to follow the above steps again (only replace boot.img & update zip with the ones you want to use).

[Q] LwW stuck after update

Hello! I just wanted to do typical update to newest pacman rom for coconut and after flashing the phone with newest rom and cleaning cache/dalvik cache phone is stuck on pacman roms logo and i can't get into recovery mode :/ Any ideas? I had format on PC so i don't have any flashtool, if anyone could tell in detail how to bring phone back to life i would be happy
Hmmm....i think you forget to flash the latest kernel inside the roms....latest nightly build won't boot if you still using the old kernel build 20140405...after the build PAC use different kernel...that is why your phone stuck on PAC logo....latest kernel has LX logo...

only way: flasching a new kernel. (or flasht your old rom (must be exactly bcuz of kernel))
-download android sdk (just leave all like is & press instal ackages, google usb driver are most important )
-download flashtool & install it & install driver for phone from drivers folder of flashtool install
- flash new kernel ^^
Ok, gonna try, but when flashing i should simply turn the phone on or get it to the download mode(how?).
Ok, flashed kernel without any problems, phone is working now, thanks
It's great that it's working again, but you are lucky that it was a kernel and not a rom problem. Be sure to always take a cwm (nandroid) backup in cwm to be able to restore it if something goes wrong while/after flashing the new rom
