Sorry for my bad English .
thanks.
jaja, dont feel bad...is just a mistype but....seriusly if u want a ROM for your HTC just go to the forum of your device and get a tested rom to avoid kill a second device....cooking a rom is a hard work, take several test and you can literally kill your phone in the way...so if you want a try just buy a second hand phone and make some testing before flash in your main phone...or just download a tested rom from your phone model....
look here for the HTC Sensation

i hope u can doit right this time and feel free to post any question but first read de Q,A to get covered...
Don't feel bad. Cocking roms was a term used by some as an inside joke back when I helped with windows mobile custom roms. No harm done

Hey, everyone.
I'm trying to fix my brother's Active and not having much luck. I've been doing intermediate level android stuff since the HD2, so I'm not quite a rookie at troubleshooting. He said that he was at school, checked his texts, then the screen went out. So, that's where I'm at. I can't even really tell if it's a software error or a hardware error. The phone turns on, vibrates and the LED lights and that's about it.
Thanks for any help
Looks like it's bricked... but I'm not expert enough to say that for sure.

If you had unlocked bootloader: Flashtool
If you had locked bootloader: Update Service and try repairing the firmware.
Both ways, you lose your data.
try to repair it via SEUS or pc companion or otherwise send it in to repair

See my tutorial to root (Check Signature). There in the first step, you will learn how to flash a ROM using flashtool. Choose and firmware of your choice, and taking help of the tutorial flash it using flashtool.
For another tutorial you can check someguyfromhell's sticky at this forum.
Thanks,
Rick

No, thankfully I didn't make THAT mistake, or my previous post probably would have been my last ever. I charged it and, unfortunately, am back to square one. Same as the original problem
I have some experience with active.
Can you tell me more specific.
1.About the problem
2.modding history of the phone.(like root or unlock bootloadet)

The phone does absolutely nothing except vibrate a tiny bit when you turn it on. So the most frustrating part, to me, is I can't really tell if it's a hardware error or software. I'm leaning toward software because even after I let it boot for a long time, I can't get the screen or any of the buttons to cause a vibration. BUT I also don't know if my brother had it set to vibrate on the lock screen like I always do.
From messing around with Flashtool I found out the bootloader is unlocked, but nothing custom has been done to it.

So you think it's the screen? Is there a way to check without actually replacing it?

Okay, let says the screen got problem.the screen just have blank display right?
Try to put a sim card that doesn't have security pin when turn on.
After turn on wait for a few minutes and the try to call it.if the phone rings.the display surely defective.

Hmm I think you can open your phone (DON'T DO IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH HARDWARE) and take the LCD screen and take it to nearest service shop to check whether it's working or not...and other possibility that your phone screen cannot be turn on is the screen power might got shot and burnt (like black out in a house, the power supply is shot )

Hello ,
I am running T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S3
I was installing wanam-lite ROM , my phone was rooted already and I flashed myself into ClockWorkMod Recovery.
When I tried to install the .zip file I can an error that said.
"assert failed:write_raw_image("/tmp/boot.img","boot")" error"
So I then backed out of the whole recovery and selected reboot phone.
Once my phone powered off it never powered back on.
Here's what my phone is currently doing.
Power button = No response
Volume down + Home + Power = No response
Remove battery + Plug in wall charger = Red LED comes on , but phone is still unresponsive
Remove Battery + Plug in Wall charger + Put battery back in = Still no response.
P.S When phone connects to PC makes a sound - Ba doom
Then 2 seconds after makes a rejected sound

Get a jig , pull the battery and wait a minute. Reinsert the battery and then the jig. That should get you in downloadmode and flash a stock rom with Odin.See item 2 and 3 in my signature. Good luck

Dude, make your own jig, it is so easy. All you need is a old micro usb cable and some resistors. You can find how to do it on google.
Will take only a few minutes to do it once you have the materials

yes, i tried everything i could do so i do think the only way out is JTAG box but i live in holland and i already searched for it but i cant find anyone with a Riff box, so i think i'm going to take it back to the shop where i bought it and play the dumbass like
''oh please help me my phone just doesn't want to start anymore do you guys have any idea what this could be?''
and when they ask about root, bootloader and those things i'll be like:
''What the hell is bootloader, i've heard about root though, it's just jailbreak, right?''
So if that isn't going to work i'll have to buy myself a new phone i think...

sorry for late reply......
if you are able to go in boot loader try to install twrp recovery ( you can install other one also, I prefer twrp)
do full wipe, and download any custom ROM copy it in your sd card.
after full wip choose option install zip files and guide twrp to the downloaded custom ROM zip and try to install it,
if it don't work contact me again.
its not a charging problem or kernel or anything
when i was on jelly bean okay i restored my ta backup then i clicked reboot instead of power off then my phone gives no led no flashtool fastboot response nothing please help me
the phone does not vibrate when i power it on HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
help
help please please it doesnt connect to flashtool fastboot or even vibrates
guys for god sake help me!!!!!!!!!!!
If you do not have flashmode or fastboot mode you is not repair it. You need to flash stock rom before you flashing your.
BTW. after flashing TA is your BL locked go to the servise. Maybe they will fix it.
Srry for my english.
help me guys i need the phone so much
can i fix it without going to service center it is so far away
And Flashmode?
Get stock rom for xu and try to flash it via flashmode, maybe it will work.

Leave the phone without battery for a while and press and hold the power button without battery for 60 sec then leave the phone again for a min or two then insert the battery and try to get into flash mode. If it isnt a hard brick then it'll definitely boot up make sure to keep the flashing stuff ready
