I bought my phone from Orange UK and unlocked the phone as I wanted to use my T mobile sim card. However I can't send or receive picture messages as I guess the phone is still using the wrong settings.
I have tried the HTC app but this did not solve the problem. Does anyone have any ideas?
Have you activated your data settings?
I can browse the internet fine, is there another setting for mms anywhere?
You would need to go into HTC HUB and download an app called Connection Setup and that will fix and configure your APN settings
Atm you cannot enter the apn for mms.. By installing the Connection Setup it will configure it for you
Hey guys/gals. I just Odined Simply Honey 3.8 Revolution light to my phone but i don't have data. Wifi seems to work and i have tried rebooting the phone. Is there something I missed?

settings > wireless and network > mobile network > access point names > t-mobile
apn type: internet and mms
under access point names its blank. I can add a new apn but im not sure what all to add as far as proxy, port, user name, pass, server, ect...
edit: I got it to work thank you.
Also lost Data after flashing Wifi Calling app ...can't change settings in Mobile networks
think I've lost baseband...(whatever that means...basically phone won't recognize a sim card is loaded) is there a way to fix this without Oding ?
Does the phone say there's no SIM card inserted? If so, run to any T-mobile store and ask for a new SIM.
Also, I was having data issues two days ago. I keep a copy of the KB5 modem that's flashable in Recovery. Just re-flash and all was good.
T-mobile APN address:
epc.tmobile.com
Wish I could attach the KB5 file for ya, but I can't. Just search for it.

Hello my friends. Yesterday I bought this phone and I want your help for solving the first problem. I cannot connect on mobile network. Turning on and disconnected. And the problem is not by sim's company. Help? Thank you.

Check in Settings/Mobile network if you have Access Point Names configured. If not try to factory reset your phone and do the setup from the beginning. If the problem occurs you'll need to configure them manually.

I have configured Access Point Names manually, by the instructions which I received from my mobile internet company. But the problem remains. Turning on... Disconnected. So?

Probably because of that APNs, try to configiure them again and if it persists go there and let them configure it. If they can't fix it then it's a problem with phone.
I use these instructions (look in English): http://www.wind.com.gr/files/1/Device_Settings/Rythmiseis Internet/Android OS _Terminals_.pdf
So:
Name: WIND Internet
APN: gint.b-online.gr
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: Not set
MMS Proxy: Not set
MMS Port: Not set
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 202
MNC: 10
Authentication type: Not set
APN enable/disable: APN enabled (I cannot change it).
After that, I press menu and save. Now I am in APNs and I can see a white part:
WIND Internet
gint.b-online.gr
I press the button to go back and I can see:
Data roaming: Without ν
Data roaming sound: With v
Access Point Names
Network mode: GSM / WCDMA auto
Network operators: WIND GR
I press the button to go back and I see: Mobile network: Off. I press the button off, it becomes on, and down of Mobile network I can see Turning on... For many many minutes I can see only turning on.... So, I let the screen turn off without light and after that, when I open screen and I unlock the device, I see: Disconnected...
Tomorrow I will visit my mobile internet company's office, but I am wondering: Can traffic monitor apps which were installed before the problem of mobile network create this problem? I mean something like nodata in windows mobile.... I installed these applications: 1) My Data Manager, 2) Onava, 3) Traffic Monitor.

its not a software problem you can contact your service provider for this about your loss of HSDPA connection as networks are controlled by them or what you can do is goto settings mobile network advanced selected fastest network available which should fix the issue if its not the sim 's problem and one more thing wrong forum

I've bought M8 at end of Now. Mobile network connects for about 1 min, disconnects about 1 min, again connects again disconnects again and again. Contacted HTC, hard reset etc but same.
Sent to teleservice in Turkey, they 've sent me a new m8 but the same problem. I again sent back the service and explained the history, they say m8 passed all tests (!). Before that I'd contacted the nr one operator Turkcell, no problem. I tried the m8 with another carrier but it worked continuously. So I changed the carrier but i am not happy with them. Lollipop 5 is installed, same! Anyone solved this problem ?
I've been having problems with the Play store (error 500) and I googled a how-to. It said reset APN, so I googled that too. It said to go to settings<more settings<mobile networks<access point names. I got to mobile networks, but there isn't a APN setting. I press menu, and still no settings.
help me out please

that is indeed strange. I am not running a TW rom whereas on my SlimBean it is under Mobile Networks as well. On this TW guide it shows the same. What you could do is contact your provider and they might send you a configuration SMS for APNs (e.g. my provider here sends an SMS for mobile internet & MMS APN configuration that you simple click and install).
A week or two ago I updated to the latest version of the Resurrection Remix Rom. It seems this wiped my APN settings as I needed to use my mobile data today only to find that nothing was happening (no icons appearing in the status bar). The thing is, the link on the T-Mobile website that sends the text with APN settings to your phone doesn't work. I have tried manually setting the APN settings using different sources, but none of them work. To double check, I restarted my phone after each change, but still, nothing.
I am based in the UK and I'm on T-Mobile. Does anyone have a working APN config for T-Mobile that I can use?
Thanks in advance!

You can call T-Mobile and request APN for your device. In most countries, the carrier can also send a config sms that sets up the APN.
Also please make sure that Mobile Data is set to ON. It is overlooked in so many cases.
PS: Was your phone carrier-locked?
Name: everywhere
APN: everywhere
Leave everything else blank.
I'd guess you have other problems than just APN settings, try a full wipe and flash again.

boomer, that worked instantly, as for the full wipe & reflash... That'll have to wait.
