Hello! I think this topic to ask all those who have a x10 mini (e10i / a) what is the best ROM so far, stability, fluidity and battery performance, also data connection and wifi
Also they use to optimize ROM, any scrip, application, settings or something to work faster and the battery lasts
I hope I can help, garcias!
Best ROM threads are prohibited on XDA.

Hi all, I've read all the Newbie warnings, guides etc... and I've got an excellent idea of how to do it. Now I just need to decide what to do! Specifically I'm looking for recommendations for the best ROM, kernel, mods/etc. for a first-timer with average requirements.
My requirements in order of importance:
-Gingerbread ROM which is STABLE
-Good and RELIABLE battery life (no surprise battery drains)
-CPU clock mgmt (easily choose o/c for performance or u/c for battery life)
-Fast everyday system performance, data speeds, and on common features all work and everything is fairly stable!
I realize there are trade-offs, but I'm hoping people with experience with the Optimus V (or compatible builds) will weigh-in on what they think offers the best combination of the above features for a newbie... THANKS ALL! & +1's to all who give a thoughtful answer.

the latest stable GB ROM is Mik's CM7 2.3.5 Build 6.5.7 .. and you can use Franco's Kernel v19.3 BFS for fast data usage

This ROM doesn't work on the Optimus V. You'll have to look around in the Optimus V development section.
Thanks for the replies. I know I can go to the Optimus V Dev forum to find out what's available, but I also know there are several flavors of what is technically working right now and from those threads its hard to discern the best place to start for a newbie.
Anyone who has tried several builds care to weigh in on what package combo you think would best meet the goals in the first post?
I have made this thread as I am interested in peoples detailed experience with it and have made this a place for people who are also interested in the kernel to quickly be able to gather information.
If you have tried and or are using nik3rs Elite kernel can you please post your impression here
what the battery life is like compared to stock for example?
what the performance is like? ( is there any noticeable gaming performance improvement or decrease in performance etc etc)
how stable is it?
exclusive features it has ?
and most importantly the ROM'S you are using it with successfully
ISSUES you have experienced when using it (bugs)
The thread for the kernel is kind of massive (second largest thread in that sub forum in fact). Surely the information you seek can all be found there?
Hi guys,
I've been using many kernels now, Siyah, Franco, Yank.555, NEAK. Etc. But They all used up my battery like crazy! lost 8 % in 20m thats not good, Mind that i wasn't doing anything, it was just on screen lock. Now i've read that media scanner could be in wakelock to use so much battery but how do i see this? And my main question is, what is the best kernel for battery use but balanced with stock performance? I've heard phenomenal would be good, but i rather ask before installing another kernel by now.
I'm running sotmax ultimate stock v14 for gt-19300XXELLA jelly bean 4.1.2
Thanks in advance
It's against the rules to ask that
Why don't you try stock kernel? I have a good battery life. Try to close all battery-sucking apps like Facebook,Istagram and stuff like that.
I don't exactly think it's up to the kernel to save battery life. I'm using siyah, but, to give you an example, its battery saving features are undervolting. Meaning you can either make it have top performance, or set it to the highest battery saving setting.
Best kernel, best rom, and hottest chick in the world threads are not allowed as they are all subjective

Hey lads and ladettes,
I'm trying to find a good rom with some decent customisability but the main things I want are 25 toggles, low RAM usage (around 400-550mb after boot), fast, with good battery life.
I was using Foxhound 2.0 which was great but wanted some of the upgrades in 2.4 so flashed and started experiencing random reboots. After that I moved to Ultima v11 but the RAM levels never drop below 720mb which makes speed and multitasking an absolute MYTH! I'm about to try odexing the rom to see if it makes a difference but can anyone recommend an alternative?
Thanks in advance

Mods must be getting really really pissed of with these posts .

Thread closed as its a Best ROM thread.
Generally which provide best battery life?
Also, which individual ROM do you think provides the best battery life?
Stock based roms will provide better battery life than cm based roms. There is no individual rom with best battery life. You have to try them personally.
It also depends upon how many apps are running in background.
A debloated rom will be faster(and battery friendly?).
A kernel is also responsible. There are many kernels.I cannot tell which has best battery life. You have to try them personally.I would suggest to try apolo kernel.

Disagree. I've had much better battery life with AOSP roms on the S2 Vs Samsung-based roms.
OP - there are so many variables re: battery life it's impossible to give a definitive answer/answer for your situation because everyone has their phone setup differently & everyone uses it differently. You're only going to find out what gives you the best battery life by trying out roms/kernels. People who have looked for shortcuts re: this in the past have ended up rather disappointed ('Someone told me rom/kernel X has fantastic battery life but it was crap for me').
I've had much better battery life with AOSP roms.
Just reported this thread, before it is too late If you don't understand why: please read the answer from MistahBungle again.
Best Rom threads are discouraged on xda.
