I Lost SuperSU after update - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi,
accidentally I lost superuser access at all after update process.
Executing the following way:
Tried to replace SuperSU 1.00 with SuperSU 1.04 but installation failed, so I opened old SuperSU app and chosen "Cleanup and prepare for update to newer version"
It asked to reboot, update and reboot again
I rebooted, installed SuperSU 1.04 and rebooted again, but now I can't start the app at all. It says "SU Binary not installed and SuperSU can't be installed. This is a problem." Then closes
Please help how to get SuperSU back to full operation. Thanks!

This is not working. Installed Superuser from GP, installed SuperSU 1.04 -> went fine
Reboot
Running Superuser, it opens but says nothing
Running SuperSU, it aborts with same error
If I run any app requiring root access, it fails.
Now I'm stuck here
Uninstalled Superuser
Uninstalled SuperSU
Fully unrooted using Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18 (x)
Reboot
Rooted back using Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18 (normal mode) -> Script finished successfull but no Superuser app
Therefore I install Superuser manually from GP again (success), still no root access

Bin4ry

Try to unroot using flashtool (there is an option under one of the menus) and then root the way you did using Bin4ry's tool

I was impatient so I flashed clean stock ROM .75
The prob with Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v18 is that it still couldnot make root on clean ROM, only Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry-XP did (on old kernel). What ROMs actually is Bin4ry v18 supporting?
Now on SuperSU Pro 1.04 already :good: but was pain
For the next time, how to update properly SuperSU without struggling this hassle?
Several more questions:
If I have both SuperSU and Superuser can those both coexist or better to uninstall Superuser?
Can I update SuperSU Pro by SuperSU ? Why is SuperSU Pro only half a size of SuperSU (not Pro)?
And finally can I safely restore Titanium Backup system data from 6.1.1.B.1.54 on .75?

[Q] Force install an app?

Recently I installed the Eternity 2 build003a Rom and it removed the Backup and Restore app. The problem is my most recent (and most important backup) is saved with that app. I tried reinstalling the app with root explorer, package installer, ADB shell but it won't let me install it. With the package installer it keeps saying "Application not installed!" and with the ADB shell it gives me this error:
C:\Android\Tools>adb install -r Backupandrestore.apk
486 KB/s (2386714 bytes in 4.794s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/Backupandrestore.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE]
I downloaded the APK from the Sony website so it should be compatible. I would like to know is there a way of forcefully installing an app? If not is there any other apps out there that can use the stock backup and restore app files to restore the phones data?
if u had the apk file, try using side loaded to install it. google search :

[Q] SuperSU relys on Superuser... why?

I should have replied to the SuperSU thread but since I have less than 10 posts...
I was doing a fresh flash/install. The first thing to do of course is to root the phone.
Installed SuperSU 0.94, open it up, says that I need to update the binary, clicked OK, Installation Failed, tried that several times via 3G/Wifi.
Tested under Better Terminal, typed su: not found.
Then I installed Superuser 3.1.3, run SuperSU again and the binary update worked.
Tested under Better Terminal, typed su: # it worked.
Uninstalled Superuser and tested under Better Terminal
SU gone again.
The binary update failure happened before when version<0.7.3.
So why is this? Why do I need to install Superuser to get SuperSU to work?
It depends on what su binary is installed when you root your phone or what app the author of the ROM prefers. You can download the supersu zip package and install it after you install a ROM but even then you'll have to update binary via launching the app itself.

Yep, you're right, I was just stupid not paying attention to the bat root script. I removed the old Superuser.apk from the scirpt but not the binary.
When I replaced the su with SuperSU binary, no errors anymore. Thanks.

[SOLVED][Q] Shell denied superuser permission

Hi,
so I was in flashtool and I clicked the 'ask for root permission' button but then it gave me a error that I had to accept root permission on my phone, so I looked at my phone and tried again, on the screen it said 'shell has been denied superuser permission' , there was no pop up that I have to accept or denie anything, so I went to the Superuser log and saw that shell was denied, I kept trying but it allways said denied, shell is not in the superuser application list, I've got a ST17i (satsuma) FXP202 CM10 (4.1.2), I'm sure my phone is rooted, here is the log and screenshots of my phone:

Hmmm...update superuser binary first, then if you have TB (titanium backup) install, let TB fixed superuser binary problem....that should solved your problem....

Can't , superuser is a system app so I downloaded root uninstaller but it didn't asked me to allow or deny anything, I tried to check if I'm rooted but when I open root checker it also didn't ask for permission, I think it's because I cleared the data, what do I have to do?

I succesfully updated my Samsung Galaxy S3 from Android 4.2.2. to 4.3 after rooting my Phone.
However, SuperSU doesn't work anymore, giving the message "If you upgraded to Android 4.3 you need to manually re-root".
I cannot find an answer in the forums here on XDA developmers.

I already tried that on my own. Didn't work. SU still tells me that I need to update the SU binary. Manual re root. And I AM rooted! I even wiped EVERYTHING and started over. no go. So, I'm guessing that I need to manual re root. I'll search for that binary where ever that is Oh, I went to the latest SlimBean build #2 for 4.3.1 after CM 10.1.3 and CM 10.2 refused to install on my d2usc. Now CM's Rom Manager won't work, SU doesn't work, anything that needs root access no work mahn! On the good side, everything else works fantastic, except PIE control. But I bet that has something to do with root access, so no great surprise there. I am enjoying every minute of these problems!

I had similar problem. Here is what I did -
1. Download CF-Auto-Root-d2att-d2uc-samsungsghi747 from autoroot.chainfire.eu.
2. Unzip
3. Use ODIN in the package to root.
4. Install ROM Manager.
5. Install SuperSU(Chainfire) from Play Store.
6. Open SuperSU and update SU binary. I saw a message to disable KNOX. I did it:highfive:
7. Install CWM Touch.
Then I installed other apps that need SU - Triangle Away, Titanium Backup. These apps worked fine for me. I went ahead and froze bloatware.

if you have supersu or super user already than just download update-supersu from http://download.chainfire.eu/370/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.80.zip and flash it through the recovery mode( custom recovery preferred).
xprivacy / reboot to recovery
In my case I was getting false alerts as xprivacy has blocked system access. (eg was with AdAway) Cleared those apps in XPrivacy and all worked find then.
Also you can try to go into recovery and the try to reboot. You may get message to reinstate/fix SU.

I already tried flashing CF-Autoroot multiple times after factory reset, using odin. I CWM still says binaries outdated and SuperSU doesn't work work even after updating from play store. Later i tried flashing supersu via the recovery mode. Still no success. Any suggestions?
Edit:
Another factory reset and flash did it. I don't know how. But it is fixed now.

So my device is rooted, but i don't have permission. Tried to copy .su file from xbin to bin, not possible.
Uninstalled reinstalled, unrooted rerooted, reinstalled SuperSu from playstore.
Made sure no double superuser programs running.
Got rid of Knox.
Tried to custom install Supersu update, says invalid certificate.
I believe if i can copy the .su file in \xbin to \bin the permissions wil be there. Bought Rootbrowser but error when copying. Or give permission on file SetUID.
Can't run Bootbox cause didn't install before root stopped working. Also Titanium backup stopped working now.
Any ideas how to fix? Don't want to factory reset. Can't be to difficult to fix.
PS. If this post is i wrong place please advise where itshould be.
Thanks

[Q] SuperSU update

Hi there,
I have a Lenovo A806 phone. I installthe SU binary? Iinstalled towelroot and then supersu. When I try to open supersu, it says the SU binary needs to be updated. I press update, it asks how do I want to install the SU binary? I can select normal or twrp, but both failed.
Any idea, what can be the problem and the solution?
Thank you!
Got 2 option, 1) try to install old version of superuser, 2)reboot to recovery, using File Manager, copy su file from /system/bin/etc/.su to /system/bin/su
