Asia one x+ custom rom - HTC One X+

Hii I would like to ask..as far I read from the custom rom thread.the base is from 1.17.404..European model international hox+...mine is Asian version 1.17.707.1 is it compatible. Or I have to get custom Rom base on my region...which is none so far...

For custom ROMs it's only important to know whether you have the AT&T or the International model. And I really think you have the International model.
The exact region, and/or CID and software number (e.g. x.xx.707.x for you) of your Phone is just important for official HTC Updates or RUUs.
So just use any custom ROM you want for the International model.

Will the radio works? Is the langguage complete...thx for the reply

yes, radio will work.
Its just the International software x.xx.401.x that is used for the custom ROMs, Radio can't be changed/stays the same after your ROM flashed since nearly no one has S-OFF at his device.
And I think all ROMs here are multilingual ones, so you can choose the language you want at first bootup with your new custom ROM

HOW TO FLASH DIFFERENT REGION ROM ON T-MOBILE PROTECTED?
advice, please.
You CANNOT flash ANY stock rom from ANY other region onto your tmous.
If you do, it WILL permanently kill it.
Your only choices are the tmous stock roms, or find a tmous compatible custom rom that includes your region.
Search for a tmous compatible rom HERE

Stock ROMs from the HTC site or from a different carrier could brick your phone ...
Custom ROM is the best way to go ..
You will find TMO compatible ROMs in the TMO section, but there are quite a few that are TMO compatible that are NOT listed in the TMO section, one of the biggest things is to NEVER never never, and did I say NEVER , flash anything with a x.xx.51.x radio to a TMOUS, also I think there is a 2.05.50 radio that is just as bad.
So if you flash a radio just stay above 2.08.50.xx and you should be ok ...

Froyo Update for AT&T on non-AT&T phones

Hi guys
I was wondering if my Aria (it's an Asian one) could be upgraded to the froyo rom that is used by AT&T?
I don't really want to use the custom roms for fear of warranty issues/breaking the phone (it's a friend's) and like.
Thanks in advance.

You might be able to install the AT&T version if you use a goldcard. It will also depend on which HBOOT version is installed on the Aria. If it is HBOOT version 1.0x, then you probably won't be able to.
From what I've gathered, you should be able to use any Liberty RUU on any Liberty phone with a gold card. The HBOOT version doesn't matter.
For example, if you have the AT&T 2.2 update on your phone, you can use the AT&T 2.1 RUU on your phone. The ROM and radio will downgrade, but the HBOOT will remain the newer version (1.x), which prevents you from rooting the phone but doesn't prevent you from using the 2.1 ROM like a stock phone.
Thanks for the reply, but what's a goldcard?
As for HBOOT, is it something like the HSPL/SPL of the HTC HD? How do I check the HBOOT version?
EDIT:
Also, since I probably can only flash asian roms, does this mean I can flash any asian rom? I noticed that there are Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc roms (I bought my phone from China).

Sounds like you need to do some searching and research and you don't even need to leave XDA to find all of the answers. Seek and you shall find...
Ok I found out what are both.
Found out that my phone is madein Taiwan though I bought it from China, does this mean I can flash the official taiwan rom here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1062149) onto my Aria (if I care not for any clockwork recovery/custom ROMS)?
However, can official roms run non-market android apps?

The official AT&T ROMS are usually the only ones that don't allow non-market android apps, however there is an update for the AT&T Froyo 2.2.2 ROM that enables this option now, too.

AT&T HTC One and 801n

Hi all,
On the Note 2 they were able to flash 7105 rom, which is a LTE EU rom, on the AT&T version.
Don’t anyone thinks it will be able to do the same thing on the HTC One with the 801n and the AT&T version?
I'm brining this up just because of the updates and the bloat ware.
Thanks,

On the One XL, we've been able to flash ROMs with both European and Asian bases. The ROM base doesn't really matter as long as it's the same phone hardware.
You can as long as they have the same dev name. Easiest way to check is to look at hboot and see the name. Just know that flashing AT&T ROMs/801n ROMs will not unlock any new radio bands.

[Q] Are matching CIDs crucial for flashing custom ROMs?

I ask because my CID is cws_001 (I'm in the United States) and I haven't found any ROMs that support it. Are there just not any available for it?

cws__001 means that you are either AT&T or Telus . the CID itself is not that crucial but whats important is you know the difference between international and an AT&T/Telus phone. For example the international phone has more than 15 different CIDs but the ROMs are all the same. Its about the carrier OTA updates.
Anyway, if you are looking for roms, look for the AT&T/Telus versions , there are elegencia running somewhere around here and there is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2098218 VIPER XL+
And there is someone importing CM10.1 for the AT&T/Telus variant. Look around in the android / original android developement section.
Best of luck ^^

[Q] Can I flash T-Mobile ROM on a unlocked AT&T HTC One - I know this is silly

Hey!
Its been a longtime that I've had a android phone!
I know its a silly question but can somebody let me know if I can flash a T-Mobile ROM on a AT&T HTC One?
I know hardware wise they are same, but just want to make sure.
Also, I know there is nothing as best ROM.
But can anyone suggest me 2 ROM's with minimum issues?
One Stock ROM, other themed ROM.
PS: - I like the HTC Sense

Any gsm(att, tmobile, international) rom should work on your phone. Just make sure, when flashing, select the att files if applicable. Also when flashing, use the kernel that is compatible with you device. So Elemenalx or teamm7 kernel.
I would suggest flashing ROMs from the international HTC one thread because there are a lot more ROMs avaliable. I am picking between insert coin or the viper one rom. Both are stable and on the latest version of sense and Android. Insert coin has a theme if you install the kustomizer. Another rom that is not as stable is the RENOVATE rom. It has a full theme and amazing battery life.

The ATT One and T-Mobile One are NOT the same.
The TMO unit has a different radio chipset to be able to operate on T-Mobiles 1700 / 2100 paired set. The ATT unit does not have these.

As your phone is SIM-unlocked, it shouldn't turn it locked when you flash the new update. At least, it didn't so to my SIM-unlocked AT&T HTC One.
