[Q] How to use pin and automatically unlock - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

On a few ROMs for the gs3 and some other phones there are settings that when you choose to use the pin to unlock, once you type the right code in it automatically unlocks instead of you having to press ok. I'm running beans right now and was wondering if anyone knew how to get this to work. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] locks apps

Hi there,
I was wondering If anyone out there knows of an apps to locks the phone. Im new on this and what I'm looking for is something to replace the unlock swipe screen that came with the phone. I want something like a numeric keypad as a lock / unlock application.
Samsung Vibrant
thanks
Do you want a different option for a pattern lock?
I searched and didn't find anything. My brother has a numeric lock for his Nexus, but that's a CM feature.
I don't think they're out yet. If you find one in the market chances they won't work because of TouchWiz and you would have to be rooted.
Thanks for your quick response to my question.I am kind of new on this and yes what I want is a numeric keypad instead of a pattern.
once again thank you !!

[Q] Remove Pin Lock "OK" Button

This is most likely one of those "simple problem, complex fix" kind of questions.
On the Android Pin Lock screen, after entering the 4 digit number you have to hit OK before it unlocks. I want to remove this need. If the number I enter is correct, I do not want to have to hit OK to unlock the device. I'm not above doing some tinkering with my phone, but wouldn't know where to start. Maybe there's even an existing mod to do it? I can't be the only one who finds it annoying.
Edit: My phone is the Samsung Vibrant T959. I use 2.2 and 2.2.1 ROMs.
I know that there are other lockscreen apps, but I do not want to use any and want to stick with the stock Android one.
TL;DR - How do you remove/bypass the need for OK press on the Pin Lock?
I have the same issue with my rooted Droid Bionic 4G. Custom ROM's like Cyanogenmod 7 have this fixed in their versions...anyone have the answer?

[Q] Quick Pin Unlock Mod

I have looked all over the internet and all through XDA and I have either not seen it or it isn't there. I am currently running NOVENA on my i717 and I am using the PIN lock. I really liked on other ROMs how I could just type the password and it would automatically unlock. I was wondering if this was a mod that I could put on the phone myself or what I need to do!
Sorry about another Quick Pin Unlock to the series of questions.
you mean to tell me that adding an extra click by pressing the OK button after entering your PIN is such a hassle that it warrant a new MOD ??
Think of it as an extra character ... ie. instead of my usual 8 characters... I now have 9... etc
that was hard !!
I wasn't saying at all that its any hard work or anything, because obviously hitting one extra button isn't that hard. I just liked that if you entered it correctly it would just unlock. Personal preference is all. :good:
This option would allow much easier single handed operation(for right-handers at least) due to the OK placement.

[Q] Cannot disable face unlock, wrong pin

When face unlock does not work on my stock ics LG Optimus L9 I just enter my pin and all is well.
I decided to remove face unlock and pin unlock and change to swipe to unlock. When I go into settings, I tap on lock screen, then on select screen lock. It asks for my pin, i enter it and hit next, it says "wrong pin"
I know it's not the wrong pin because I unlock my phone with it 20 times a day. I always use the same pin for years. It seems like a bug but it sucks because now I am stuck with face unlock.
Is there anyway around this or has anyone else experienced this problem?
thanks

Do a HARD RESET. It will solve your problem.

Updated replacement (insurance) phone upon receiving. Gesture unlock no longer option

So my S9+ took a tumble and was unresponsive. Luckily, I had insurance. So when I received the new device, I set it up, let everything restore that was available for restoration, and took the latest update (screenshot attached). Now my absolute favorite way to unlock a phone out of all the phones I've owned, was the gesture unlock. Not pattern, gesture. What am I missing here? I can't believe they would remove this amazing feature, so I must be missing something. Thank you!!
Anyone?
Gesture unlock as in the option for "swype" as a lock screen type?
Swype for unlocking the phone is present on my phone (G965U). If your using a 3rd party lock screen try disabling or removing it. If you have some sort of app/configuration that requires secure lock it might have disabled swype to unlock.
Otherwise maybe try factory data resetting the phone or else reflashing the update using odin?
No, not swipe to unlock, that's still available. Does no one remember gesture unlock? Like mine was up down up down up down left. Just swipe those gestures to unlock. How does nobody remember this?? Gf confirms btw, so I know I'm not crazy lmao

Gesture (singluar) unlock as I remember it was simply swiping your finger up the screen to unlock it. What your describing sounds more like a pattern unlock method.. Where multiple swipes in a specific manner will unlock the screen.
Looking on my phone there is a pattern unlock option. Is this option present on your lock screen > screen lock type settings?
** Edit - Never mind, the previous poster found the setting in question.
